Chapter 470 - Picture Worth Painting

The place where the couples standing now is a cliffside, it's at the back of the Chung old house. It's one of the many places where Ethan, Mia and Lucifer spent most of their time together.

Some of their most memorable moments were all from this particular cliffside.

Hugging her red coat tighter, Sera stood at the railed edge of the cliff, the metal railings were firm and there was no fear of falling.

Next to Sera, Lucifer simply studied her starry expression, his entire being filled with love and doting as his gaze minutely studied his beloved woman, recording every tiny detail in his memory for eternity.

With his hands inside the pocket, Lucifer slowly closed their distance. His left arm reached to encircle her delicate shoulders possessively as his slender fingers gently squeezed her.

It was no secret that Lucifer absolutely loved the feeling of having her in his arms.

Just like him, Sera too loved the feeling Lucifer provided, her head automatically fell on his shoulders and they revelled in each other's arms.

"Thank you.."

A long while passed before these words escaped Sera's mouth. There were tears in her beautiful pair of eyes reflecting the grand show of lights in front of her.

Even if Lucifer denies, Sera was certain that it was Lucifer's plan all along to surprise her and he'd succeeded. He really did surprise her. Not only by his actions, by his thoughtfulness as well.

All of this was done in hopes that she'll abandon the negative thoughts hogging her mind and put herself at ease.

"What for? I just wanted to share this.. This feeling with you.."

Smoothing her ruffled hair, Lucifer dipped his neck to press a lingering kiss on Sera's forehead.

The man's words were spoken very lightly as though he wasn't the one dying to heal Sera's heart moments ago. So that she can overlook other unimportant things and focus on him alone. Talk about ulterior motives!

Laughing in her head, Sera bit her lips as she smiled gleefully and didn't expose him. She had a good grasp of his personality and could bet that he'd feel embarrassed.

Between them, there really was no need for a whole load of unnecessary words, they could wordlessly solve everything, with each other's presence alone!

As realization hit Sera, her heart melted like snowflakes on a sunny morning.

"I know! I love you.."

Raising her head, Sera deeply gazed into those gray orbs that glistened like stardust in the dark. She tiptoed to kiss the man on his curled lips, happy to hear those three words from her mouth.

"I love you too.."

Clutching her chin, Lucifer rubbed her jaw with his coarse thumb and breathed in a hoarse manner.

Without giving Sera a chance to react, Lucifer crashed his lips against hers. His kiss voracious forcing her to gasp and moan in pleasure.

The night sky was dark but lit with a crescent glowing silently.

There was a beautiful silhouette of a man and a woman kissing passionately against the starry backdrop of a million lights. It was truly a picture worth painting.

At Lu Holdings Office.

The thick stench of alcohol assaulted people's nostrils, the moment the door to the cabin was pushed open.

All the curtains were drawn shut, and the lights were flicked off. It was very dark.

Every now and then, a gruff noise reverberated in the room, what could be percieved as an adult man's painful groans.

Covering her nose with her handkerchief, Sophia Lee frowned as she strode in through the doors, finding her way in the dark.

Behind her, the petrified Assistant Chen fumbled to switch the lights on. His back soaked in cold sweat.

On the couch, a bundle in black lay motionless, reeking of alcohol and sweat.

One of his hand falling limp on the table in front where broken glasses and bottles of alcohol were scattered. His other hand tightly wound around a nearly empty bottle of whiskey. One of his leg dangled, while the other was kneeling on the couch awkwardly. His posture.. It was painful just to look at it.

"Et.. Ethan..!!"

Rushing forward, Sophia Lee burst out crying at the plight of her grandson. Her body shaking as she approached his disheveled figure, his eyes bloodshot.

Ethan Lee stared hazily at the newcomers with half-closed eyes, his breathing haggard and clothes disorderly.

The appearance of Mr CEO was slovenly. Ethan's white coat was thrown in a far corner on the tiled floor. All the buttons of his black silk shirt were undone, leaving only the last two intact, his dark hair resembled a bird's nest and his shoes were kicked faraway.

All in all, Ethan Lee was a complete wreck!

"Wh.. Who..? Ruo.. Ruo Lan?"

Smiling giddily, Ethan Lee slurred his words inquisitively, his long legs trying to raise their owner's body.

"Ruo Lan? Xia.. Xia Ruo?"

In the dead still room, Sophia Lee was able to hear her grand son's soft murmurings. Her eyes shot open in realization.

"Ethan!!"

She shrieked aloud when Ethan Lee suddenly stumbled and fell on the floor, trying to reach her side.

"Chen!! Help him.."

With her back stiffened in shock, Sophia Lee hurried Assistant Chen who was frozen like a statue.

With his world spinning like a top, Assistant Chen was traumatized after seeing his boss, the great CEO Ethan Lee in shambles, completely throwing himself away for a woman. He couldn't believe hi s eyes.

It was Assistant Chen who'd called Sophia Lee after sensing something amiss with his boss. After he'd delivered the red envelope, his boss shut himself up in his office and refused to leave, all the meetings and arrangements were forced to put on hold, or cancelled.

The whole office was covered in gloom. All the employee were curious, as well as frightened to death thanks to their boss's menopause like mood.

Brimming with anxiety, Assistant Chen worried that something grave had happened to Ethan Lee when the man didn't open the door. Even the blinds were drawn.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Chen couldn't rush inside his boss's cabin without permission for the sake of his life and his job.

Thus, he'd resorted to the best possible method and roughly informed Sophia Lee about the situation, who was faster than lightning.

Shaking his head at the piercing call, the bespectacled man sprinted to help Ethan Lee up, but was pushed away. His lanky body swayed from the force.

Helping the barely conscious Ethan Lee to sit up, leaning against the couch, Assistant Chen poured a glass of water and handed it to the old lady. She felt his body burning up against her hands. He was running a fever!
