Chapter 212 - Hands Off My Man!

Celine was ready to pull the trigger, her face had a radiant glow anticipating Lucifer's death with a bright smile.

It was a spine-chilling sight to look on the bloodthirsty look in her eyes.

Just when her finger was about to brush the cold metal Lucifer's grave voice with a hint of warning was heard.

"Pull the trigger if you want your head to be blown off.."

Sera turned around instinctively at his words. Her eyes widened as large as globes seeing Celine who was pointing the gun towards Lucifer. Her hands were trembling. She was glaring at his back with a venomous gaze with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Seeing Sera in a daze Lucifer turned to witness Celine's painful expression, there was not an ounce of mercy or empathy in his gray eyes. They were cold and apathetic.

"Heh! I don't care if I die.. I just don't want you to live a good life!", provoked by his gaze she chuckled lightly not scared anymore and bellowed in rage staring straight into his eyes.

Celine was having a lapse, it was evident from her face that her emotions were unstable right now, perhaps her mental state was unstable too. Sera could see the madness in her, it was appalling.

It was true that she was mentally unstable. Her drug addiction had eaten her brain cells resulting in her deranged state. She was only here to find Carlos.

"You think that with me dead you can find your father?", his cold, frosty tone could smother huge flames of fire.

Celine was stunned by his words, her face paled. Parting her trembling lips she muttered gathering enough courage to hold on and face the devil.

"Huh? What do you mean?", her voice shaky just like her pupils, the gun in her hands fell feebly with a thud.

Lucifer didn't respond to Celine's hurried questions. He didn't even bother to glance at her for the last time.

Sera too was in a flummox listening to his ambiguous words indicating that either Celine's was dead or held hostage.

Pretending as though he didn't hear her query Lucifer held the aghast Sera's hand in his large palms securely and strolled forward with an uncaring attitude.

"Lucifer! What do you mean? Where's my father?", looking at his retreating figure Celine started shouting frantically, her face turned ugly with all the rage.

"Your father, Carlos..?", he muttered with a tone that could easily arouse one's curiosity.

Celine was instantly intrigued. She hastily stood up and staggered causing her to fall, her high heel snapped. Without bothering to put on her heels she flew towards him barefooted. Her fair feet were stained red from the blood on the ground.

"I promise.. I promise that I won't hurt anyone, I'll return Callista unharmed.. I'll do as you say, please, please let my father go!", she began stuttering and begging him with hot tears falling down her face.

Lucifer laughed coldly. Ignorant, she really doesn't know who she was dealing with. Is it that easy to bargain with the devil?

"I'll call now.. I'll call right now and tell them to release that bitch!", she walked back where the dead men were plopped onto the ground.

Kneeling down and crouching Celine started searching for her phone, it was there with her when she arrived. Confounded, Sera looked at the unhinged woman on the ground.

Her haughtiness and arrogance from before was all gone. She was reduced to nothingness in merely few minutes by this man beside her with an angelic face but demonic mind.

"Don't bother!", he said coldly, his gaze was slightly impatient as he stared at her.

Lucifer wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. He could see that Sera was tired. Her face was weary while her clothes were a mess, tattered with blood on them.

Celine felt helpless, struck with fear she rushed to him. Her hands were about to touch the cuff of his sleeves when a slender hand grabbed them. She raised her head in a trance.

"Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on my man!", she spat her words infuriated by her actions.

Sera's statement hit Lucifer like a ton of bricks, his pupils dilated while his heartbeat sped up to a frightening speed. He couldn't believe his ears.

Meanwhile Celine felt intimidated by the glare that was icier than the glaciers of the north. She understood why this frighteningly cold man was so sweet and considerate to this petite woman who looked weak and docile.

The Sera right now was no less than the she-devil, perfectly well suited for a devil like Lucifer.

Cowering she stumbled backwards but was hauled forward by Sera. Lucifer was watching everything with his keen eyes.

"Let go and you will live.. Badger us and you'll cease to see the light!", she looked into her eyes with her ink like gaze, deep and threatening.

Celine gulped unconsciously feeling intensely pressured by this little woman who was far more fierce than Lucifer. Her words held power and weight that made one believe it's authority. She nodded vehemently afraid of losing her head.

It was true that Celine hatched a plan to find her father Carlos who had been missing ever since the last encounter with Lucifer. Though her father wasn't really a good man who cared about her, she was worried about her mother who was gravely ill.

She was initially apprehensive of tricking Lucifer but the man who helped her abduct Callista had twist her arm forcing her into a dead end.

Now she was really regretting her decision. It was not like she really loved Carlos. He wasn't even her biological father.
