Chapter 179 - The Han's Auction - 2

With a hand in his pocket Lu Jinan wandered about the lavishly decorated auction hall with a cold and stoic face.

This was his harsh business face meant only for the world to see unlike the cheery and full of life expression he usually portrays in front of his family and friends.

Leaning against a pillar, with a light flavored cigarette in his slender fingers Lu Jinan glanced around, a waiter came forward to light his cigarette however the man refused.

After the waiter left, he checked his pant's pocket and found a lighter and chuckled softly, it had a ROSE emblem on it.

Lighting the cigarette Lu Jinan placed it in between his full lips, casually smoking as he stared at the glass wall.

His eyes widened when a familiar silhouette came into his view, looking at Maya's reflection in the glass wall made his heart race and he forgot about the cigarette.

Turning around he verified her presence, afraid that his eyes were again playing a trick on him.

Lu Jinan smiled brilliantly unlike his cold expression seeing that Maya was really sitting there indifferently with a glass of champagne in her slender hands.

"Damn! This is really fate..", he mumbled stroking his neck awkwardly.

Lu Jinan was mesmerized by her beauty, she could easily enchant any man on earth and beyond with just her big and dark, chocolate brown eyes.

Maya sat there upon the barstool like a marvelous sculpture but more life like, with a glossy red gown draped around her perfect curves which enhanced her already voluptuous body.

Her short hair were framing her small face making it appear tender and glowing under the chandelier's lights.

The familiar pair of emerald and pearl earrings dangling from her ears made Lu Jinan furrow his brows in confusion.

"Have I seen them before?", he was baffled by his thoughts. Jinan had no connection with jewelry and was never interested in these kind of things then how?

Shrugging these thoughts at the back of his mind he tapped the ashes of his cigarette, his eyes fixated on Maya and stubbed the cigarette before walking towards her.

"What should I say to her?", Jinan thought inwardly, surprisingly he wasn't feeling confident at all.

"Thanks for last time? or my name is Lu Jinan?..", he was a mess just like his head.

Suddenly he stopped in his track and breathed on his palm to check if his breath smells like cigarette smoke.

This was one of the reasons why he liked to smoke light flavored cigarettes instead of those strong flavored ones.

"What if she doesn't like smokers!", he mumbled looking at the stub of already dead cigarette in the glass ashtray.

Jinan was feeling extra cautious, desperately checking his pockets he found some mint. Sighing in relief he popped the mint in his mouth before checking his breath again.

"Not bad! I should go now..", he looked at the bar only to find an empty barstool, there was no sign of Maya.

"Was that a dream just now!", he mumbled rubbing his eyes lightly.

Jinan was sure that Maya was sitting right there, the champagne glass propped on the table was the proof.

"What awful luck!", he cursed walking back to his seat as the auction was about to start.

"Mr Ashton, I promise that the latest version of XXV gamer's consoles will be personally delivered to you by me!", Xav sat across a youngman dressed in a lighter gray suit with a pretty smile.

"Xavier Martinez, I've heard a lot about you! But what is the deal?", he posed a question, given that Xav was going to such lengths for him there has to be a catch.

"Ah~ That!", he rubbed his nose awkwardly, somewhat embarrassed.

"Don't worry, if it's anything I can do then the deal will be on!", Ashton Leigh calmly voiced out his intentions regarding the deal Xav had proposed to him minutes ago.

"I want you to bid for...", Xav leaned forward much to Ashton's shock, he whispered slowly attracting curios gazes and giggles their way.

Xav had no idea about the weird looks darted at him, he was patiently explaining the transaction he was intending to exchange with the gaming otaku Ashton Leigh.

Xav's alluring scent made the man gulp, his hand travelled to his back followed by a firm spank on Xav's derrière.

Xav yelped in surprise, he smiled wryly and jumped to his feet, running out of the room. Ashton laughed at his reaction before whispering something to his assistant about.

Few meters away from the auction hall, near a corridor full of private rooms and entertainment space, Maya was seen sprinting in her high heels.

"Thank God he didn't see me!", mumbled incoherently, her breathing hitched with each step.

Maya was running away flustered trying to escape from the mighty Lu Jinan.

While sitting obscurely across the pillars her hawk like eyes spotted the handsome Lu Jinan standing faraway and smiling like a fool.

Thinking about Xav's words Maya was just trying to stay out of trouble thus she fled from there, panting she stopped running and stood leaning against a large door.

Unfortunately the door was unlocked, little bit of force and the door creaked open resulting in Maya falling badly with the open door and landing on her firm and round derrière.

Following the commotion a figure appeared out of nowhere towering over her, she raised her head as a reflex and met her doom.

"Who is that?", a bulky man dressed in waiter's attire stood gazing at her, she smiled at him and stood up stumbling.

The man licked his lips and stared at her, his hungry gaze travelled every nook and cranny of her body.

Infuriated, she raised her leg, landing a perfect kick on his family jewels and smirked at his grimacing face.

"Aaah..", he groaned in pain before landing on the floor with a loud thud, his eyes red and watery, he was rolling on the floor cursing Maya.

Enraged by his words she stomped her high heel on his face, his cheeks was cut and blood oozed out.

"What the fvck!", a couple of men dressed in white shirts and black trousers just like the previous man rushed forward.

Looking at Maya and her leg pushed on their mate's face, they scowled at her.

"Uh-oh!", she mumbled, gulping heavily and stepped back even though her face was blank with no extreme emotions displayed.
