Chapter 63 - Betrayal

Lucifer's lips curled up, a wicked grin on his devil like countenance making the man break into cold sweat.

Lucifer leisurely walked towards the man with Adrian following him. The man abruptly stood up and fell on Lucifer's feet leaping forward.

Lucifer snickered looking at the man who was high and mighty, enjoying himself moments ago, now groveling at his feet.

Adrian came forward and pulled the man harshly, tugging at his hair making him scream. His eyes extremely fearful of Lucifer's wrath.

"You know what? I'm in a very good mood today", Lucifer's calm voice was heard making the man jerk.

"I'll give you 5 minutes...", before he could finish the man started speaking hurriedly.

"I.. I didn't do anything, It was him.. He ordered them to assassinate you, the banquet was also his doing... He knows.. that you're alive", Adrian kicked the man making him kneel.

"Where is he?", Lucifer asked him in a low voice, he was never the one to shout or scream.

"He's here for the conference in Z city, I don't know anything else please.. please spare me", the man begged Lucifer.

Adrian pulled out a revolver and pointed to his temple making the man's eyes bulge out, thick tears rolling down his cheeks.

Adrian moved the revolver slowly, sticking it into his mouth muffling his screams, just as Adrian was having fun Lucifer interrupted him hastily.

"Are you having fun? Just kill him already, I'm getting out of here", he strode out impatiently.

"Tsk", Adrian clicked his tongue seeing Lucifer's retreating back and smiled wickedly at the man in front of him.

"Unfortunately I'm not in a good mood today. Mr An good bye", Adrian pulled the trigger with a loud bang, the man's body jerked with blood spurting out of his head.

An Shiming was the man who had betrayed Lucifer, the devil. Shiming had double crossed him by joining hands with the Monster and divulging his whereabouts to the man who had followed Lucifer that night.

The cream colored Turkish carpets with gold detailing was bathed in red, a gruesome sight to see but Adrian stood unfazed, his eyes holding a dangerous glint.

Shaking his head Adrian pulled out a wet towel from the table and cleaned his stained hands and shirt. Pulling a long face he stripped, throwing the dirty shirt on the man and went out.

A burly man came forward and handed a packet to Adrian which he accepted and entered the restroom.

After cleaning himself Adrian changed into the clothes from the packet and discarded the bag in the trash bin and walked out with a striking smile on his lips.

His smile cracked when he saw Su Yin staggering, supporting herself by holding the walls. Adrian's eyes darkened and the air around him turned cold.

A lean built man followed Su Yin, trying to close their distance the man constantly tried to touch Su Yin.

Su Yin's steps were unsteady, she was swaying trying to push the man away, avoiding his touch.

Su Yin and the man had exited the corridor, Adrian hastily followed them to find Su Yin entering the elevator with the man.

Adrian stood on the entrance of the elevator and pushed the man roughly inside before yanking Su Yin towards his side and turned around to leave holding Su Yin firmly in his arms.

Lucifer had already left the bar and was sitting in his hotel room, wearing his silk bathrobe with a wine glass in his hands.

His gaze was penetrating and held a dark glint making one fall deep in the abyss like dark gray irises.

"You want to kill me? Destroy me? Dream on! You have to payback for all your past sins!", Lucifer gnashed his teeth. He gulped the wine and placed the glass with a loud clang.

Sera was feeling light hearted, all the heavy feelings that were heaving her down were lifted off her mind making her peaceful.

Sera's mood was a lot better today so she decided to paint. Sera lifted the white cloth covering the canvas and smiled enchantingly. It was her latest painting.

The painting was a beautiful scene of a man and woman dancing harmoniously. The sky was covered with stars blinking beautifully resembling diamonds, a large full moon.

The moon light was reflected upon their tangled bodies and a large shadow was casted on the floor.

The couple were lost in their own world, the people around them were watching them awestruck from distance.

The couple had masks covering their faces and looked ethereal, almost dreamlike. The whole painting was complete with just one exception the painter's signature.
