Chapter 334 - I don't like that tone

Xiao Zhihao, who was standing next to Han Ye, watched as his three tormentors and their parents slowly got down on their knees.

"I-I'm sorry!" Joshua mumbled after a slap behind the head by his mother. "I'm sorry, Zhihao."

"We would never do it again!" Oliver immediately added when he saw that his mother was raising her hand and glaring at him with a death glare.

Their mothers also apologized to Xiao Zhihao with somewhat unwilling expressions. However, Xiao Zhihao did not say anything.

Xiao Zhihao looked at Johnny. He had always been smaller than his bullies, which gave them the courage to pick on him, as well as the other kids. But now... Now, he was bigger than them. He was looking at them from above, and he clenched his fists as he thought about how he had thought of this day in the past, wondering if he would ever be in a position to turn the tables around.

He looked down at Johnny, who refused to lower his head despite his parents' insistence. From the moment his father made him kneel, Johnny had been glaring at Xiao Zhihao with a murderous glance.

"Johnny!" his father hissed angrily at him. "Don't you anger Mr. Han or I'll take your allowance away for a year!"

"Dad!" Johnny protested. He pointed to his face with a good face and snapped, "He hit me! Why should I apologize?"

"Just do it!" his mother snapped. "Do you think the trouble you've caused is not enough? Do you want to see your parents suffer because of your stupidity?!"

Johnny glared at Xiao Zhihao, and his eyes were full of anger as he stared at the boy whom he used to pick on. This was not right. He was the predator, and Xiao Zhihao was the prey. How could things turn in a matter of months? Clenching his fist tightly, he tried to convince himself that he would one day take back his dignity.

"I don't like the way you're glaring at me..." Xiao Zhihao said in a cold voice, seemingly emulating Han Ye's earlier tone. "Bow down to me... Three times, and do it properly..."

"Don't you go overboard!" Johnny snapped as he got to one knee.

"The boy's father..." Han Ye was about to say something when Johnny's father raised his hand.

PAP!

With one slap, Johnny was sent sprawling to the ground with blood seeping out from the corners of his lips.

"Johnny!" his mother yelled as she helped him get up. She then glared at her husband and hissed, "Are you trying to kill our son?!"

"If he doesn't apologize properly, I'll take it as I've never given birth to him before!" the man warned as he glared at his son. If his son did not do as what Han Ye said, he was afraid that this was it for him and his family. So what if he was the CEO of a listed company? Han Ye was President Du's most trusted man.

He disregarded the fact that Xiao Zhihao's father saved President Du's family and that he was under President Du's protection because he didn't think that the almighty president would do much other than issue a warning. After all, there were a lot of people who were under the man's protection.

However, when he heard that DX assigned his most trusted man, who was said to hold the power in Du Conglomerate in DX's absence, Han Ye, to take care of the boy, that was when he knew how important this boy was to DX.

Johnny's father knew that if things were not settled now, it might be the end of him. For the massive Du Conglomerate to end a few-year-old small listed company like his would be as easy as stepping on an ant.

And it wouldn't be the first time for them. Everyone in the city knew how DX took down some of the major families whose sons hurt his wife before, and those families were bigger than theirs.

"Johnny, do as what your father said..." Johnny's mother pleaded as she looked at her son. "Just this once..."

Johnny's breathing quickened in anger as he glared at Han Ye and Xiao Zhihao. However, in the end, with gritted teeth and clenched fist, Johnny eventually did it. He got down on his knees in front of Xiao Zhihao and Han Ye and kowtowed three times to Xiao Zhihao, slowly. There were tears in his eyes, which was slowly falling from the corners of his eyes.

When he was done, he got up swiftly before wiping his tears away angrily with the back of his hand. With an angry tone, he asked, "Enough?!"

"I don't like that tone..." Xiao Zhihao said as he looked at Johnny in the eye. "But I think you had your lesson, so I'll let you go this time."

"Not so fast," Han Ye suddenly said. He looked at the boys' parents and said, "Find the kid your boys hurt and make the appropriate compensation, and it better be appropriate or I won't let this go. And I don't think President Du would let this slip as well. Once you're done, take your sons out of this school. I don't care where you are going to send them, but they will not be finishing their high school years in Imperial City."

"What?!" the boys gasped. This city was their whole life, and all their friends were here. They looked at their parents who were wearing conflicted expressions.

"Dad, I don't want to leave!" Johnny looked at his father. He then looked at his mother. "Mum?"

"Mum!" Oliver and Joshua pleaded with their mothers.

"Mr. Han," Johnny's mother said respectfully, "we have already done what you wanted us to do. Please, the boys' lives are here."

"They can start anew somewhere else," Han Ye said coldly. He looked at the boys and said, "Maybe that'll teach them humility, that it's not easy to be the new kid at school."

He then looked at their parents and added, "And if I were you, I would separate the three of them."

He then sat down on the couch and crossed his legs before saying, "You have 5 seconds to leave this room. I still need to talk to the principal."

The parents wanted to plea for their sons, but based on Han Ye's expression and body language, it was clear to them that he was done talking, and if they did not leave immediately, something worse than being forced to change schools would happen to their sons.

And so, with much reluctance, the parents dragged their boys out of the room.

After they left, the principal looked at Han Ye and asked, "Is that necessary, Mr. Han?"

"Zhihao is going to finish his high school years here, in this school. And I don't want those boys to try anything funny. That boy... Johnny, was it? I don't like the way he looked at Zhihao, and I don't think Zhihao would be safe if they are here in the city."

He then looked at Xiao Zhihao, and with a stern expression, he said to the principal, "Revoke Xiao Zhihao's scholarship as punishment for starting the fight."

"What?" Xiao Zhihao gasped. "You can't do that!"

"Try me..." Han Ye raised a brow and dared him.
