Chapter 220 - Gr.a.p.e-like birthmark

There were a lot of things in her mind. Meeting her uncles face-to-face made her thought back to a lot of things. Her memories with her uncles... When she saw the red candy wrapper that Fan Shaohang showed to her, she felt touched that he would keep something as insignificant as that for such a long time.

And at the same time, she also thought about her relationship with Fan Chuan when they were young. When her parents were alive, Fan Chuan had never shown any displeasure toward her parents or her. In her memories, she could tell that Fan Chuan cared for his brother.

Once, about a year after she was saved from her kidnapper, her father was involved in an accident when he was traveling home from work, and he was badly hurt. Fan Chuan had come to pick her up from school to take her to the hospital because Chen Qingting did not want to leave her husband's side, and they did not trust anyone else to pick Litte Fan Wushuang up, especially after her kidnapping incident.

Xiao Lei had a vague memory of Fan Chuan wiping his tears away with his sleeves as he drove. He kept trying to convince Little Fan Wushuang not to cry, but he himself was worried over his brother's condition.

The old memories confused her.

She did not understand how Fan Chuan could be so cruel... At which point did he start to have grudges against her parents to the point that he had to kill them... She could not think of anything or any incident that could have triggered the man's act of betrayal.

"What... did you think about?" Han Ye asked softly as he looked up at her.

"Nothing..." she mumbled. She did not want to think about those memories because she felt that they might end up tearing her resolve apart.

He looked at her back, and the memory of the scars at her back returned to him. However, before he could say anything, she asked, "Did you see anything?"

"What?"

She turned around and frowned. "Earlier... Did you see anything?"

"You mean like your..." He gestured to his chest and crotch area, which earned him a glare. He then laughed softly and shook his head. "No... I swear."

He seriously did not see anything from her front. When she came out n.a.k.e.d, he was too shocked to look, and by the time he got his senses back, she had already turned around, and all he could see was her scarred back.

Well... and her... backside.

He coughed awkwardly before adding, "Well... I saw your..."

Xiao Lei narrowed her eyes at him. "What?"

He cleared his throat before he continued with a slight unapologetic grin, "Erm... Your bum bum..."

Xiao Le's face turned red immediately, and she jumped at him with her fists raised. "I'm going to kill you!"

Han Ye immediately jumped off the couch and ran away from her, all the while shouting, "It was an accident! I'll forget it! I'll totally forget about it! I don't even know what it looks like, and I definitely didn't see any gr.a.p.e-like birthmark!"

The thought that he saw her gr.a.p.e-like birthmark only made her angrier than ever, and she picked up her pace while her face turned redder.

"Yikes!" He shivered slightly when he saw her angry face, which looked like the face of a thunderous death god. After a few rounds of being chased around the couch, he then ran toward his bedroom.

"I'm still going to kill you!" she yelled as she ran after him.

He wanted to slam the door shut, but seeing that she was already near, he was afraid that he might hurt her, so he merely pushed against it softly with the hopes of keeping her out.

She pushed against it, but he would not budge.

"I'm sorry, alright? Can't you forgive your kind and caring boss just this once?"

She snapped as she pushed the door, "You mean my perverted boss?! NO!"

"Come on! You're pregnant! Think about the babies in your stomach!"

Suddenly, there was no resistant anymore, and he was able to close the door. He was wondering if she had forgiven him and opened the door to take a peek.

Unfortunately for him, she had not. When he peeked out, the thing he saw was her in a kicking stance.

The moment he realized what she was about to do, his eyes went wide with shock.

Her embarrassment seemed to give her extra bout of strength, and with one kick, she kicked the door open, causing Han Ye to tumble backward.

When he fell on his back, she sat on top of him with her fist raised. "Damn you, Coward Ye!"

Han Ye raised his hands and formed an X in front of his face as he yelled, "Don't hit my face! I'll give you anything you want!"

With her fist remained raised in the air, she snapped, "Anything I want?!"

"Anything!"

She put her face closer to his arms, which was still in X, and snapped, "Then tell me, since when did you know I'm Fan Wushuang?"

"A while ago!" Han Ye realized what he just said, and he slowly pulled his hand apart so that he could see her face. But when he did, he saw that there were tears in her eyes while her raised fist was trembling in the air. "Xiao Lei..."

"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked with a pout; her voice was slightly choked as she spoke.

"Don't cry... Why are you crying?" he asked softly as he reached up to wipe the single teardrop that formed at the corner of her right eye. "Just hit me, alright?"

She lowered her fist, but she still hit his chest, albeit with less force. As her arms pounded his chest, she cried, "Why didn't you tell me earlier that you know? Why are you doing all these?"

She had her suspicion for a while now, judging from how he had been acting around her and how he knew some of her favorite food, but when she saw how protective he was when she was near members of the Fan Family, her suspicion was confirmed. If he had not known about her true identity, then he would not have worried about her.

Han Ye looked at her crying face and sighed. He then grabbed her wrists to stop her from pounding him and said softly, "I'm sorry, alright? I just want to mess around with you since you obviously knew about me but didn't tell me anything."

When she looked at his face, he felt a slight pain in his heart. Even though she was the one who hid the truth from him first, but somehow, he felt that it was his fault.

"You jerk!" She pulled her wrists away from his hands and covered her face with her palms as she cried her heart out.

She wasn't really crying because she was upset. She was crying because she felt... relieved. Now that everything was out, she did not have to hide anymore.
