Chapter 367 - Avocado Feast

"Babe? Babe?" Andrea called out to Lu Fang at midnight, just an hour after they got some sleep.

"Hmmm," said the man, trying hard to wake himself up.

"Babe, where is my vomit bucket?"

'Oh, no.' The man's eyes instantly opened, knowing he had earlier washed his wife's vomit bucket. He said, "To the bathroom, babe."

He hurriedly helped her walk to the comfort room but unfortunately, Andrea could not make it in time. She puked right before entering the bathroom.

"Arrg… I feel so disgusted, babe," said Andrea before getting inside. "I'm going to wash up. Can you take care of that for me?"

The man scratched his head at the sight of wasted Chinese food before answering, "Of course, babe. Let me know if you need anything."

After getting cleaned up, the couple went back to bed. Lu Fang had also taken another shower, feeling he smelled like vomit all over.

At five in the morning, Andrea woke up her husband again, feeling hungry, "Babe, I want to eat something. Did you bring up snacks?"

"Hmmm," said Lu Fang. He slowly got up and opened the bedside drawer. "There's bread, apple, crackers, nuts… there are hard-boiled eggs."

After getting through two other pregnancies, Lu Fang was always prepared with his wife's late snacking. Aunt Rosa was instructed to always refill the drawer with food.

Lu Fang saw his wife's face turn into a frown and soon her lips pouted. He could tell she was thinking about it. Eventually, she said, "I think… I want to eat toasted pita bread and guacamole dip."

"Ah." The pulled his head back. "Babe, avocados are not in season… Anything else you like?"

Andrea searched through her head for seconds and then she looked up to her husband saying, "chicken sandwich with guacamole?"

The man suddenly thought of calling Bolin, but it was hopeless. There was no Go Bolin around.

He gave up reasoning with his wife and said, "Okay, let's have breakfast at the Bai Hotel. Surely, they have easy resources in getting avocados and can whip up guacamole, but for now, anything else other than the avocado?"

Like a kid, she wrinkled her nose before answering, "I'll take the apple then."

Thankfully, it was a weekend, and the couple brought along their children to stay overnight at the hotel so Andrea can have her guacamole. However, after having been served with her requested avocado did, she said, "It doesn't taste good... Somehow."

She ended up ordering for thick sauce ramen.

In the evening, Andrea was putting Angela to sleep on her chest while searching online. She suddenly had her mouth hung open, saying, "Babe! I want to eat this. Can you ask the hotel to prepare this now?"

Lu Fang grabbed her phone to find a recipe for Avocado Chocolate Mousse. He glared at her saying, "Babe seriously? You did not even touch your guacamole this morning."

"It's different. The guacamole has spices, lime, and a lot more but that - that is desert!"

"Babe, let's just order in some Chocolate Mousse or better yet plain while Panna Cotta," he suggested while handing back her phone.

Andrea's mouth formed into a circle before exclaiming, "That is a great idea, babe! Avocado Panna Cotta!"

She smiled happily while adjusting her baby to her chest before reiterating, "Babe? Call the hotel now and tell them I want Avocado Chocolat Mouse and Avocado Panna Cotta. I want it tonight or you - you are sleeping on the couch."

The man watched his wife's mouth twitched before she continued to search for more avocado recipes.

"Oooh… Avocado Chocolate Fudge. Avocado tart… Oh, the kids would love this, babe - Avocado popsicle sticks! I love it!"

Lu Fang could tell there was no point in arguing with his wife. He tried this with her first pregnancy and it did not go well. Feeling defeated, he reluctantly called the hotel room service and requested for both desserts.

Thankfully, Andrea ate both, leaving nothing. She only let him taste a teaspoon of each. Surprisingly, she did not throw up her dessert.

After getting home the next day, Andrea kept asking for more avocado involved dishes, demanding, "Babe, source out all avocados in the country.  You are Lu Fang, the CEO of Lu-Wei Enterprises, you are powerful enough to find avocados, regardless if they are in season or not. It's that simple."

'Was it really that simple?' He thought, after listening to his wife's rant.

Lu Fang suddenly missed Go Bolin. If he was here, it would have been Bolin going around the city looking for his wife's strange cravings. He was always very efficient.

He stepped out of the house, asking Juan to help him find avocados. He heard him say, "Mr. Lu, you are forgetting. I am a Mexican. Haha! I know exactly where to find avocados!"

After just an hour, Juan came back with a box of avocados, exciting Andrea altogether. She happily requested from her husband, "Babe, let us make all these."

She handed him a list of all avocado recipes she wanted to eat for the day. Together with Aunt Rosa, they prepared toasted bacon-wrapped avocados, chicken and avocado sandwiches, avocado pasta, shrimp and avocado green salad, and a simple avocado sake. They ended up making so much that they could feed the entire household.

Lu Fang saw the glitter in Andrea's eyes after putting all the food on the table. Aunt Rosa aided in serving all the dishes and after doing so, she let out a sigh saying, " This is an avocado festival."

She started eating a little of each. She thought the pasta and bacon-wrapped avocados were disgusting. The sandwich was acceptable and so was the salad, but she only ate a few. What she consumed the most was the avocado shake. She shared them with the twins and they equally loved it.

Lu Fang and the rest of the household, including Juan ended up finishing the feast of avocado meals while Andrea was back to her phone while giving more avocado shake to the twins.

"Wow!" Exclaimed Andrea. Her eyes narrowed as she continued to say, " Avocado graham, Avocado tart… Oooh… Avocado truffles…"

The man sighed heavily. He thought, 'At least Bolin will be back tomorrow, but for now...' He turned to Juan, saying, "Get ready Juan. This is your moment to shine."
