Chapter 245 - Why are you Calling my Husband?

Yanmei was laughing helplessly and after realizing it was a rather odd question that involved her brother, Andrea laughed with her altogether.

She never got the answer she was looking for and she never dared to ask again. She was simply told it will happen naturally. Besides, she already had twins. It was obvious she was the more experienced one between the two of them.

Andrea knew she did not have to worry for when the time comes. Only that she had been overly conscious because of the growing anticipation, especially since their plans were postponed due to Lu Fang's trip to Guangzhou.

Andrea felt like they had clicked instantly. Although she had known Yanmei as a Xia, it would seem to her that they had become good friends beforehand. They just need to rekindle the friendship once again.

In the afternoon, Li Wen and her children arrived. The siblings had a joyous reunion that day and lasted through the early evening. They all rested in a nearby five-star hotel for the night, intending to have one last get together for breakfast the following day.

Andrea was occupied catching up with Li Wen that she missed the man's calls. She only called back once, but it had been already late and her husband did not answer his phone.

The next morning, everyone was seated at the hotel restaurant getting ready for breakfast except for Yanmei and Yeong. The twins were at their individual strollers next to her and Karen.

While waiting for their food to arrive, Andrea called Lu Fang again but there was still no answer. She dismissed it, thinking that he was busy or tired from yesterday.

"I think our couple slept late last night," commented Li Wen.

"Huh?" asked Andrea. Her mind was completely filled with worry for her husband that she failed to hear her sister.

"I said, Yanmei and Yeong may have stayed up longer - "

Li Wen was interrupted by Yeong's cough as they arrived at the table, taking their seats.

"Good Morning," greeted Yanmei.

Everyone greeted her back including the Li Wen's children, but Andrea who was seated next to Yanmei noticed how difficult she walked before sitting down.

She was in deep thought all of a sudden, seemingly having remembered herself in the same situation. Out of nowhere, the words just came out, "did you slip on the floor?"

Yeong nearly choked following his sister's query. He quickly drank a glass of water and composed himself before helping his girlfriend answer, "Yes, she did, but she is fine. It was just a minor accident in the bathroom. Now, let's eat."

Both Hanxi and Han-joon were clueless, having seated at the opposite end of the table while Li Wen remarked, "How lame of an excuse. I bet you gave the same reasoning, Andy."

"Ha? Wen, I don't know what you are talking about," Andrea opposed, slightly frowning her face.

Li Wen merely shook her head and changed the topic, "Never mind. Let's not talk about it and get food into our stomachs. I'm hungry and so are the kids… I bet our brother is the most hungry in this table."

"Li Wen!" Yeong warned by merely calling out her name.

She winked at Yanmei before putting a close to the conversation, "I'm done talking… Eating now. See?"

Yeong drank with Hanxi and Han-joon last night, perhaps a little more than usual. He wasn't drunk, but it was enough to get him into the mood for some love-making. He was normally in control of himself but he recognized Yanmei had faded away his rationality little by little.

Although they had already done the deed a few times, Yeong did his best to hold himself. He wasn't ready to be a father just yet.

Last night, he arrived at their hotel suite very timely as Yanmei came out from the shower, merely wearing a robe.

His mind told him to get another room, but when she came up to him and gave a peck on his lips, he fully lost it. The two made love until dawn, tiring themselves completely that they struggled to get up in the morning.

After finishing their breakfast, Andrea gave Lu Fang's phone one last try before they head to the airport and send off her siblings. When the call was answered she was relieved and immediately called out to him, "Babe, I'm sorry. I missed your calls last yesterday -"

"Who are you? Why are calling my husband, babe? And this early on a weekend?" It was a woman's voice that answered the man's phone.

Andrea's blood boiled instantly. Her hands trembled in anger as she held her phone. Her voice raised as she demanded, "I should be the one asking you that? Who the f**k are you? Why are you holding my husband's phone!"

She never got a reply. The line got disconnected abruptly.

Li Wen saw Andrea's reaction and instantly understood what had happened. She was quick to defend the man, "Andy, please be logical about this and do not jump into a conclusion. For all we know, Lu Fang dropped his phone and some random person got it."

There was no response from her. She was merely focused on the woman's voice claiming to be the wife of her husband. She quickly dialled Bolin's number but there was no answer. Minutes passed and still, there was no call back either.

She handed her phone to Li Wen and ordered. "Uncle Pie's number. Quickly."

Andrea was walking back and forth at the hotel lobby while waiting for Pie Wang to pick-up.

"Uncle Pie, It's me. Andy."

"Oh, my dear child. How are you? I've missed you so much. Lu Fang told me about what had happened - "

"Uncle Pie. I'm sorry to cut you off but I need to know where my husband is."

"He should be staying in a hotel near the project site in Shenzhen. Our CFO, Megan Wong made the reservations and is staying at the same hotel."

Andrea made the call short. The moment she got the information she needed she went back to the restaurant and told Li Wen, "I'm flying to Guangzhou with you. Wait for me here. I will just take the twins back to the old mansion and leave them with mom."
