Chapter 233 - Bread Pudding or Cake?

Lu Fang's hand remained holding his wife's waist and as they walked back to the mansion, Andrea used the time to ask more about how they became a couple.

A: "How did we meet?"

LF: "We met at a buffet restaurant and we met again at the Penthouse Gym where we both lived. After that you came storming in my office claiming to be my girlfriend?"

Andrea's mouth hung open and her eyeballs nearly popped out. She exclaimed, "No way."

LF: "Yup, you practically stuck like glue to me after that. We were together nearly every minute of the day. It was inevitable for you to fall for my charms."

As the man narrated everything, he was giving a naughty grin. Technically, he was not lying. He just excluded the fact that Andrea did so to protect him. His wife gave all the kinds of suspicious reactions all throughout, making him chuckle as he continued to talk.

A: "Thank you for the dress by the way. It's beautiful."

LF: "You are welcome. You have lots of those at home… You look beautiful in it."

Andrea could feel her ears burning red as the man compliment her. She merely thanked him, but what he said next caught her off guard.

LF: "You know what you would really look more beautiful in?"

A: "What?"

LF: "Always in my arms."

She glared at him in disbelief. She asked herself, 'Who is this man I married? So Cheesy!' Although she found it incredibly corny, it was funny altogether. It made her smile from ear to ear. Whoever heard of a businessman who was darn good at flirting.

When they arrived at the mansion's main door, Lu Fang turned to Andrea and told her about their first intimate moment,  "The first time I kissed you, nothing could stop us from drowning in our emotions. We constantly wanted each other."

The man continued to stare at her with intensity as he walked forward leaning Andrea against the wall. He focused his eyes on her lips. While one of his hands still wrapped around her waist, the other started tracing her temple down to her cheek.

Andrea could not understand herself, she could not resist the man before her. His eyes were beyond tantalizing. His moves were slick and that time, it wasn't just the butterflies in her stomach, she practically felt all the animals were howling at her, cheering her on. She could not help but bite her lip as a reaction to his advances.

Lu Fang squinted at her reaction and said, "Don't bite your lip. I want to do that."

At that moment, she felt like she was going to faint. She was being seduced by her own husband and it was very effective. Just as when the man leaned forward, the door opened and came out Hanxi.

"Hey guys, we were - " Hanxi realized he had just interrupted a crucial moment. He rushed back inside before getting a piercing stare from Lu Fang.

"All this heat, it's making me thirsty. May we should go inside," said Andrea as she hastily pushed herself away from his hold. "Come on."

"Hmmm…" The man's only response.

Li Wen was in the living room with Alfred when Andrea came in. Seeing her sister's expression, Li Wen could not help but question, "What's wrong with you, Andy? Your face is red like a tomato."

"Nothing. It's just really hot outside."

Lu Fang announced that he would prepare dinner for the night and it worried Andrea. She wondered how he could pull it off. She offered to help by preparing the ingredients. That ultimately gave them more time to talk about their past.

It impressed her by how organized the man was. Despite preparing dishes for a big party, he was calm and kitchen remained tidy.

"I cooked for you the second time we met… You barely cooked for me, you know. I was your slave for the most part of our marriage," teased Lu Fang.

"Well, that sounds more like me now," Andrea said as she chopped onions.

She then felt his mouth an inch away from her ear and he whispered, "Even in bed you enslaved me."

Andrea nearly choked at her own saliva as she coughed her way to get a glass of water. The entire dinner preparation made her completely nervous.

She was never that intimate with Gabriel. How did she ended up getting into this situation with this man? These were the thoughts that filled her mind. She already did the math a few days back. Her babies were four months old, and they were married over a year. It meant they quickly jumped into an intimate relationship, shortly after they met.

She could not imagine herself having indulged in love-making at an early stage of the relationship, but there was a vivid proof to it, her twins.

When dinner was served, everyone was pleased to enjoy an Asian dish, perfectly made and flavored. Hanxi kept blabbering about how he missed Lu Fang's cooking that it made, Andrea realized, the man literally got deeply involved with her family that even Hanxi knew him well.

She loved the man's dishes, and she told herself, "I could get used to this."

Gabriel joined them for dinner and Andrea could tell he was uncomfortable the whole time, not speaking and looking at Lu Fang. They remained civil while eating their meals, regardless.

Lu Fang had learned that Gabriel and his wife spent time together. For this same reason, he did not want to stay for more than two days at his uncle's mansion. Moreover, he had not seen his babies for over a month. It was more than enough suffering to be away from both his wife and his children. They needed to be home as soon as possible.

After dinner, Alfred decided to discuss a few business matters with Lu Fang and Gabriel. They sat together on the opposite side of the table from Li Wen and Andrea.

Andrea was staring at her own husband, dreamy and Li Wen could not help but comment. Using her fingers, she pointed out to the Gabriel and Lu Fang. "See those two? They are both deserts, but one is a bread pudding, and the other is a cake?"

Andrea did not have to look at Li Wen's fingers to know exactly which one was a cake. She merely added, " A cake with ice cream on top… and whip cream too."

"Touché."

"And candy sprinkles plus a cherry at the tip," Andrea continued as she studied the man.

Li Wen chuckled and took a sip from her coffee before adding, "Do you want to add chocolate glaze too?"
