Chapter 196 - Fight with Yeong (2)

Lu Fang and Yeong were already gasping for air having been fighting for more than half an hour. Both had cuts on their faces, their bodies aching while completely covered in sweat. The agreement was to fight until one surrendered, but neither of them refused to give up.

Yeong did not allow a water break since, in a real battle, they don't get any. Their practice had to be as close to reality as possible.

Andrea was worried sick for her husband. He had endured so far, but she wasn't sure for how long. Yeong was an excellent fighter and had been training all his life. Regardless of the outcome, she was sure Lu Fang's strength and speed had already taken a big leap.

In the middle of the fight Gao Rou, being a boxer himself, gave side coaches to his brother. Although they were uncalled for, he could not help but want to stand behind Lu Fang, at least in words.

Lu Wei, on the other hand, rejoiced in small gestures each time his son made any relevant moves; those that made Yeong step back, bleed, or almost fall down.

The two men were getting ready to advance, walking sideways in a circular path, both their fists up, protecting their faces.

While their eyes were locked on each other, Lu Fang quickly gave Yeong a roundhouse kick which was aimed at his right leg. Yeong nearly lost his balance, but his right foot managed to get back on the floor.

Not a moment to spare, Lu Fang struck on Yeong's left leg and then again to the other side before aiming higher, extending his leg towards Yeong's face. He gave his brother-in-law uninterrupted roundhouse kicks targeted different directions, hoping to distract him.

While Yeong was busy dodging, the man suddenly jumped up to his torso, Lu Fang's knee directly hitting his chest.

"Ahh!" Yeong groaned in pain, making Lu Fang smirk.

Yeong laughed seeing his reaction and said, "You think that was good enough? Take this!"

He abruptly jumped in mid-air while turning his body, throwing a kick directly to Lu Fang. The man successfully evaded, but Yeong pivoted himself to the other direction, even without landing, successfully hitting Lu Fang in the face.

"Ahhh… F**k!" Yelled Lu Fang. He fell on the floor and turned to the side, checking his jaws.

After knowing nothing was broken, he stood up and got into position again.

In the audience, Andrea felt like she was giving birth again. Her heart raced just watching two important individuals in her life fight with their might.

"I can't watch this. I really can't," she said while she covered her face with both her hands, yet her fingers were split apart, creating an opening for her eyes.

Yanmei was equally worried about Yeong. It was the first time she had seen him in action. She immediately thought, 'There is no way, this man is gay.'

Back to the fight, everyone saw Yeong approaching Lu Fang, giving sturdy punches. The man blocked the assaults with his hands. He also threw in his own blows, but Yeong got around every strike, moving his body swiftly in the opposite direction.

They were both at it using the same strikes until Lu Fang kicked Yeong in the front, making him move back and fall on his back. The man immediately came with another kick while Yeong was down, but his foot was caught and in return, Yeong also struck with a kick. Lu Fang caught his leg as well and refused to let go.

The man ended up sliding down, his back on the floor, as they both struggled to free themselves from each other's hold. Ten minutes passed, and they were still at it in the very same position. It was evident, they were both tired and unable to continue.

Seeing them in that state, Andrea checked the time. It had already been a little over an hour since they started. She was positive they were drained. She quickly walked to their direction and yelped at them.

"Let's call this a draw shall we? You both are obviously exhausted."

"No!" Yeong responded. He then pointed out, "Lu Fang, you gotta - you gotta man up!"

"I am manning up, Yeong!"

"This is ridiculous! Even boxing matches are only five minutes each round," she tried to reason with them but since they were still holding tightly to each other's leg, she pleaded with her husband, "Babe, give up. Please. This is not a real fight, anyway. I'm hungry already."

"Yeong, I'm hungry too, can you both end it now? You both have proven really well your fighting skills and we are all in awe," said Yanmei. She decided to help out since she has seen too much. She could not bear to see Yeong fall down in pain again.

Andrea glared at Lu Fang and said, "Babe, let go! You know the punishment of not following me."

The man immediately knew what she meant and released Yeong's leg.

Everyone in the room let out a sigh of relief seeing it was finally over. Lu Wei especially was the most at ease. He quickly went to Lu Fang's direction as Andrea helped him up, he said, "Son, I am the proudest father. I have never seen your skills gone up to this level. Your determination is without compare."

Lu Wei hugged his son tightly and helped him to the side of the gym together with Andrea. Gao Rou Also came to congratulate Lu Fang. Even if he technically lost, he was a winner in his eyes.

Yeong may not have said it, but he too was proud of how far Lu Fang had come. He heard what Lu Wei said and could tell his brother-in-law was truly dedicated to his promise. He knew for sure that he would do anything for his sister, even allowing himself to be subjected to a beating.

Yeong came up to Lu Fang and said, "Congratulations. I officially consider you an equal."

Andrea's jaw dropped. She could not help but comment, "Excuse me. My husband is more handsome than you."
