Chapter 117 - Under the Table

Before the feast began, a toast was offered to President Xia Ting. Everyone merrily greeted him in unison, a Happy Birthday.

When all wine glasses were emptied, the doors of the banquet hall swung open, then paraded the hotel staff, carrying the sumptuous nourishment for their dinner. Starting with their salads, the guests indulged in their exquisitely prepared plated dish.

Lived music began to fill the banquet hall as renowned singers and acoustic bands sing to their original compositions. Little Xia Mei, accompanied by her brother, also sang for her dad melting the hearts of all the guests. Her voice was as lovely as her twinkling eyes that Andrea kept smiling while looking at her.

Turning to the man, Andrea said, "I think I would love a girl too."

Lu Fang grinned, then whispered to her ear, "Let's work harder for a girl tonight."

His words made her laugh while turning absolutely tomato red. She thought,' He sure doesn't disappoint.'

While enjoying their main dishes, General Lei updated the Lu Family about the Rou Yanlin.

"I suspect someone higher than me is a beneficiary of the former Governor. I have already collected data and have narrowed it down to the Commissioner and Senator Min."

"No, It can't be, Dong," Andrea objected, "remember, Senator Min had asked for Li Wen's help in the past, giving me a chance to look into him. He is just easily swayed by others to participate in projects, gatherings, charity, and even petitions. Although, rich and generous, for a man with power, he is just naïve. Not because he is lacking intelligence, he sees mostly the good in people."

"Yes, I agree about him being too kind-hearted. We caught the thieves that had stolen his family jewels. One of them pleaded unceasingly explaining that his daughter had cancer which pushed them to commit the crime," Lu Wei narrated to everyone in the table and wiped his mouth with a table napkin before resuming, "the end result? He let him go and even shouldered his daughter's hospitalization."

"Wow!" Christina reacted, "they should have just approached him immediately!"

"Exactly!" Exclaimed Andrea. "Anyway, the point is, he is an easy target. Dong, whatever evidences you may have against him, it must have been planted or his involvement was merely the signature."

"I'll help you look into the Commissioner."

In the past week, General Lei has been looking through a number of suspects in the higher office when he came across a project of the former Governor Rou. It was well supported by the Commissioner. It was a simple special training for the law enforcement of Tianjin, except, after completion, they were required to service the governor for half a year.

It can be a drawback for a police officer to give up six months of his career, not unless, it came with additional benefits. As he dug further, he eventually found out that these police officers were promoted in a year's time and were living comfortably outside their salary's capacity.

"Thank you, Andy. I would appreciate the help."

The General was sitting across Andrea in between Lu Jie and Gao Rou. Earlier, Andrea had insisted that Gao Rou join them especially since there were empty seats.

President Pie Wang was also assigned to their table but he did not make it to the celebration. They later learned that he was not feeling well. This made Andrea worry. During their project proposal, she heard him complain about getting headaches and promised to have it checked upon returning home that weekend.

"Andy," General Lei spoke once more, "we should work closely in looking up the suspects. I also needed help in looking into the victims of Rou Yanlin's asylum."

"Hmmmm…" Lu Fang reacted.

Andrea turned to the man in disbelief. 'What was so wrong with helping when it benefitted him the most?' She thought. If Rou Yanlin is caught, she would make sure to end his life or make him rot in the prison of Gabriel's Den.

"You look really beautiful in your dress tonight…. Well… like you always do."

'S**t! Here we go again.' She grumbled to herself and awkwardly replied, "Thank you, Dong. This is Lu Fang's gift for me. Right, babe?"

"Of course! Babe, since living together when was the last time you bought clothes for yourself? I practically bought everything for you from the ones you wear on the outside and… even on the inside." Lu Fang grinned at his babe before looking up to the man opposite to them.

'What?' The General tried to hide his disappointment. 'They are already living together?'

"Now, now. Don't be too proud of this. We need to have you wed as soon as possible before babies start to arrive," Christina reminded them. "Tomorrow, we will set the date with your sister, Andy."

"Yes, mom."

General Lei became awfully silent after that and began to use his phone. Finally, he took notice of the messages that he had chosen to ignore in the past two hours. He went about replying back to Rou Chunhua's text.

Andrea went back to finishing her plate when all of a sudden, she felt a big hand pulling up her skirt. She gulped at the thought of the man's hands going under her dress.

"Are you okay, babe?" Lu Fang said with a naughty grin on his face.

"I'm fine, babe."

She smiled back and responded with the same daring move, slowly putting her arm below the table and extending her hand towards the man's stick. It was already hard. She began to grab on to it harder making him hold his breath.

Andrea then felt a finger rub her clit in between the thin underwear. Their movements under the table were giving them an electrifying sensation. It did not take long for Andrea to announce, "I realized, I forgot the gift for Brother Ting!" She turned to the man and demanded, "Help me get it from the room."

"Of course, babe. Anything you say."

The couple hurriedly walked outside the hall, holding hands and the moment they went inside the elevator, Andrea was slammed to the side, kissed hungrily by the man.

She tried to break off from the kiss while gasping, "Babe, what had gotten into you?"

"Babe, I just hate the way General Lei looks at you – "

"What? Wait, wait, wait… So you want to do it all of a sudden because he was looking at me?"

"Yes!"

She giggled while still being pinned against the elevator wall and said, "Should we call him more often?"

"Not funny at all…"
