Chapter 378 - 374 That Rhio’s family would forever find peace.

((( Jasmin POV's )))

Suddenly there were footsteps.

I opened my eyes to look around but saw nobody.

If I wasn't living the life with Rhio, I'd probably laugh at myself for being paranoid. But I was in his story, so every chapter I'll go through would include danger. I shouldn't have went out our cabin that early in the morning.

Walking back the isle of rooms, I heard a baby crying.

It was Kevin. I hurriedly went to the other room where his crib was but when I opened the door, someone immediately covered my mouth.

"Just on time Missy." The three nannies were sat by the corner as they were being held captives by two of four men who seemed to be the crews themselves working in the ship. The two other men were dealing with me.

"Nothing will happen to your child if you quietly follow us!"

Surprisingly, one of those thugs were Rhio's own man. He held my hands tightly and dragged me back to where I went earlier. There was a rope ladder by the side of the railing that leads to a boat.

"Get down to that boat, otherwise we will throw the baby in the water!"

My tears fell as I looked at Kevin.

"I'll count. One!" My whole was shaking.

I climbed down carefully while thinking of my baby.

Will they ever do their promise and return Kevin?

Below a few more rungs to the speedboat, another man was waiting.

He helped me down and forced me to write a note…a letter of goodbye to Rhio.

Was it happening again? Why was it happening?

"Just think that you'll never see them again. Write what you want to say to him."

I started to write, tear-stained and afraid.

"Please don't do this," I begged him.

"...shut up." Then he pulled the paper from my hands.

"This is enough."

Another man went down and helped him tie me by the corner of the boat.

"Take care of that woman," the guy went back to the cruise and looked at the man who was with me in the boat.

"Make sure she never come back or else we'd have you pay with your life."

As the boat sped away, I prayed that everything would be alright.

The winds started to blow more roughly and it began to rain.

And although the distance became foggy, I kept my gaze at the cruise until it became no more than dots of light.

The man looked at me with a smile.

"We're in the middle of nowhere. Since you're about to die, why don't you just give me some fun with your body."

I was breathless. And indeed in that middle of nowhere, I called for the name I always called… Rhio! Because he was busy looking at me, the guy didn't notice the big waves crashing towards the boat.

The waters flipped the vehicle backwards ungently. My head hit something hard but I tried to endure the pain.

I'd be dead if I lose consciousness. I'd be dead if I let the water drown me while I am tied and helpless.

I tried to free my hands until my sight started to dim.

Maybe that was the end for me…. In the face of death, I only had one wish

That Rhio's family would forever find peace.
