((( Rhio POV's )))

But when I finally drifted to a nap, I was awoken by her sudden scream. She was still asleep though. Dreaming… A nightmare.

"No! Please!" she was having a bad dream. And I was having my own bad dream right in front of my eyes…

"Jasmin…" I tried to wake her up. Was that the same nightmare she used to dream before? She usually forget about it though after she wakes up.

"It's okay," I hushed her panting when she came back to consciousness.

"Rhio…" she cried again.

"Hush," I said, "I'm here for you. Don't cry."

"I'm scared…"

"It's okay, it's just a dream. I'm here beside you."

"Don't leave me…"

"I'll never leave you."

Her crying was slowly ceasing until… "It hurts Rhio…"

I looked at her. She was gently massaging her stomach, "It hurts."

I held her hips and pressed it as therapeutically as I could.

"Rhio," she was on the verge of crying again.

And slowly, she lifted her hands. There was blood.

"Rhio," her eyes were hysterically wide, "Our baby---" I immediately lifted the blankets.

There was a lot of blood. I didn't know what to do; it was the most daunting thing I've ever seen. I called for the maids who, upon seeing why I was panicked, had immediately notified the doctors.

"Don't cry," I felt myself on the edge of crying. I approached Jasmin and lifted her up. Lots of blood flowed from in between her legs.

"Oh God!" It was Niel. "We have to take her to the hospital."

The other doctors accompanied him. I immediately hurried to the ambulance that arrived in the front yard. Jasmin has gotten unconscious and her hands were so cold. My hands have gone deadly cold too. I was so scared.

I couldn't even speak as she was rushed to the emergency room. What happened to her?

Niel inquired to his colleagues who attended to Jasmin… But he only shook his head at me when he returned to lounge. What did that headshake meant?

My fists clenched as I followed him back inside the emergency room.

A female doctor immediately talked to him when we got inside so I approached Jasmin instead. She was delicately lying down the hospital bed. I had a guess what happened but I didn't want to believe it was real.

I didn't even had the courage to ask and confirm if that gut feeling was true.

I didn't want to know that our baby…

God…

((( JASMIN POV's )))

When I woke up, my body felt as if it was floating on a river of ice.

I didn't feel cold; I felt numb.
