Chapter 154 - Chapter 153

((( CLAIRE )))

The walk outwards felt like the most difficult thing to do. My vision was swirling and my body was heavy.

"Looks like Zhio Jr. is tormenting you already."

I looked at her as I gulped the fresh fruit juice she gave me.

"Not really," I smiled.

"My head just hurt when I tried to remember something earlier."

"Remember what?"

"I still couldn't make it out."

She sighed.

"Well then I think we have to go back. They might find out you're pregnant with that drama."

"But…"

Dennise held her arms closer to me and showed me the time on her wrist watch.

"Like it or not, you have to return to the mansion."

I breathed heavily at the ticking sound of her wrist watch. The time had passed so swiftly…

"The car's waiting already," she smiled back at me.

I hugged each of them and it felt like the last hug I'd ever give them in my lifetime. And I was hoping all of them would stay as they were throughout the days, although I wouldn't be there for the rest of it.

I hugged Amy last and stroked her belly gently.

"Take care of my little niece."

She nodded.

I took her hands and buried something on her palm.

"Keys?" she looked at me confusedly.

"My room is now yours. You need it most."

"Thank you sis," he hugged me back tightly.

"And always take good care of yourself overseas."

I approached Ma.

"Please look after Pa."

"Hey Clarita. FYI since you ran away I was always there for him," she spoke at her usual raised tone.

"Thank you," I smiled at her.

"Let's go Clarita!" Dexter shouted from inside the car.

He's seated at the front seat beside the cab driver.

"Enough with that goodbyes as if you're going to the outer space."

I turned back from my family and walked towards the car. I took one last glimpse at them and at our house and tried to etch every single memory of it into my mind.

That may be the last time I'd ever see them.

The drive to the airport was silent. Nobody dared to talk.

When we arrived, every member of the Digital Band was there with their own luggage. The entirety of their getups could fool any unsuspecting audience.
