After a full day’s rest, An Yan went to the competition venue with Cheng Yi and the others to prepare for the third round.

Ten minutes before the start of the competition, the officials announced the detailed rules for the third round.

As An Yan had said before when comforting Cheng Yang, the key to the third round was the mecha warriors, and the pharmacists played a supporting role by making potions for the mecha warriors when necessary and according to the circumstances of the competition.

The map for the third round was significantly more complex than the previous two rounds, with some traps designed to test the mecha warrior’s skills.

In addition, there was no restriction on the spiritual power of the contestants like before. So, the higher the spiritual power, the more advantageous the contestants would be in this round.

So An Yan calmly played the role of soy sauce in this round. However, this was just his thinking. Apart from marveling at Cheng Yi’s superb operation, the viewers on the live stream were also giving An Yan a "666".

The general situation was as follows.

Viewer 1: Damn! It took An Yan only five minutes to create an S-rank Spirit Recovery Potion during the second round. It only took one minute this time!

Viewer 2: What can you do in a minute? For an ordinary person, one minute can read a post, drink a glass of water, walk a couple of hundred steps, while one minute is enough for the boss to make an S-grade Spiritual Recovery Potion, or an S-grade Spiritual Defense Potion, or an S-grade Spiritual Sensitivity Potion……

Viewer 3: Boss An Yan’s sense of awareness is so strong! I haven’t even realized what the problem is yet, and An Yan has already made the potion!

Viewer 4: How come An Yan is still able to chat with Cheng Yi while making the potion? This is not scientific! The professor said that you have to be fully focused when making a potion, otherwise it won’t work at all!

Viewer 5: I’m not going to say anything, I’ll just continue to watch the live stream on my knees.

..............

So, in the heated discussion among viewers in the live broadcast room, the third round of the competition had ended. Cheng Yi and An Yan had undoubtedly advanced without any problems, and Cheng Yang and Gu Qing’s side had also advanced because of Gu Qing’s superb mecha operation.

Cheng Yang looked particularly excited on the way home: "You don’t know how good Gu Qing is, Yan Yan! There was a time during the competition when we were attacked by other contestants and almost got eliminated, but Gu Qing reacted quickly and escaped at a crucial moment! "

Cheng Yang’s tone was bright, and An Yan smiled, "Well, that’s indeed very impressive."

Cheng Yi on the side came up to An Yan’s ear and said, "Shouldn’t Yan Yan think I’m the best?"

An Yan looked back at him with red ears, "Yes, you’re the best, but other people can be great too."

Cheng Yang was about to get excited and say more, but found that the two were showing affection to his face. He dismissed the idea and turned around to praise Gu Qing positively, "Gu Qing, you’re really amazing!"

Gu Qing still had a gentle and light smile on his face, but the tips of his ears were already red: "Thank you for the compliment."

An Yan did not go to the Chengs' house this time, but went straight back to his house, not asking Cheng Yi to join him.

Although he had agreed to meet Ren Bo and Zhang Lei tomorrow, he could still ask about the progress on Zhang Lei’s side through his light brain. If the other party encountered any problems on his side, he could also communicate in time to solve them.

Therefore, the first thing An Yan did was to contact Zhang Lei on returning home.

It was only the second day, so Zhang Lei’s side had not made much progress. He had actually encountered many problems.

An Yan’s design requirements were so new that Zhang Lei had never encountered them before, and he inevitably had to consider them carefully when he was working on the drawings.

In addition to An Yan’s requirements, Zhang Lei also had to consider the problems that might be encountered during the manufacturing process in advance. Otherwise, it would be difficult to build the mecha if they encountered problems during manufacturing, no matter how superb his design is.

Zhang Lei took the opportunity of An Yan’s call to ask in detail about the more urgent problems he had encountered. He quickly went about his business after receiving a clear answer.

Zhang Lei found such design requests really hard to understand when he first received An Yan’s instructions, but he was slowly finding pleasure now that he had actually started working on the design.

An Yan rested for a while after hanging up. He saw that it was almost time, so he went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

He then went to bed early after having dinner with An Mu, watching some TV and chatting with Cheng Yi for half an hour.

As it was only the second day, Zhang Lei's side had not made much progress, but he had encountered many problems.

The main reason was that An Yan's design requirements were so new that Zhang Lei had never encountered them before, and he inevitably had to consider them carefully when he was working on the drawings.

In addition to considering An Yan's requirements, Zhang Lei also had to consider in advance the problems that might be encountered during the manufacturing process of the mech; otherwise, even if he designed a superb drawing, if he encountered hard problems that could not be solved during the process, it would be difficult to build the mecha smoothly.

Taking the opportunity of An Yan's call, Zhang Lei asked about the more urgent problems he had encountered and quickly went about his business when he got a detailed answer.

When he heard those requests from An Yan earlier, Zhang Lei did find such design requests really hard to understand, but now that he had actually started working on the design, he was slowly finding pleasure instead.

After hanging up, An Yan rested for a while. He saw that it was almost time, so he went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

After having dinner with An Mu, watching some TV and chatting with Cheng Yi for half an hour, An Yan went to bed early.

He got up early the next morning, ate breakfast, and cleaned up his room before he left for the appointed place at almost nine o'clock.

In order to show his sincerity, An Yan arrived at the destination half an hour early. He waited there for twenty minutes before Zhang Lei appeared, and the two waited for another five minutes before the third person arrived.

The three first introduced themselves to each other, exchanged a few pleasantries, and then stepped into the heart of the matter.

Because the next discussion was a specific proposal regarding the design of the mecha, Ren Bo signed a confidentiality agreement with An Yan.

After the agreement was signed, Zhang Lei quickly brought out the preliminary design that he had created overnight the night before. An Yan was about to reach for it when Ren Bo took it first. He just couldn’t wait to look at it.

An Yan: "…" In fact, this is quite good.  The more interest Ren Bo shows in the design plan, the more likely he will accept the order.

Although the two had signed a non-disclosure agreement, it did not mean that Ren Bo would definitely take the order. The non-disclosure agreement was only to ensure An Yan’s rights and interests so that the design would not be leaked out.

Of course, the confidentiality agreement also stated that if Ren Bo refused to take up the order, he was not allowed to carry out similar mecha manufacturing in private.

An Yan discussed with Zhang Lei as Ren Bo looked over the design proposal: "Aside from the few problems that designer Zhang told me about yesterday, have you encountered any others?"

"Yes, it's about mecha flexibility," Zhang Lei stated solemnly. "Although the development of the mecha manufacturing industry is now very advanced, it is still impossible to achieve complete mecha flexibility. Mechas are made up of many parts, and these parts are both big and small. It will inevitably cause a reduction in flexibility when the parts are assembled together. "

An Yan had not considered this issue before. The effect An Yan  wanted was for Cheng Yi to be able to use his white tiger version. The mecha had to be flexible enough to facilitate this. He could then revert his movements or thoughts to the entire mecha properly.

But if the technology really didn’t allow it, he would have to lower his requirements.

An Yan was about to open his mouth when he heard Ren Bo suddenly slap the table and burst out with a shocked cry, "It was even possible to do this!"

An Yan was taken aback and turned his head to look over, while Zhang Lei also asked nervously, "Senior Ren, is there something wrong with the design?"

Ren Bo raised his head and looked at An Yan with shiny eyes, "Little friend An Yan, how did you come up with the idea to design such a mecha?"

An Yan’s aim was to create a customized mecha for Cheng Yi, but this was obviously something he could not say. He could only say vaguely, "It was an idea that came to me by chance, and I wanted to see if I could turn it into reality."

"Your ideas are too wonderful!" Ren Bo praised without mincing words, "Why didn’t I think it was possible to build mechas like this before!"

Although Zhang Lei was a very good mecha designer, he was not as knowledgeable and broad-minded as Ren Bo after all. So he was actually very puzzled when he first heard of An Yan’s idea. It was only when he started working on the design that he gradually changed his opinion.

However, Ren Bo was different. He had already sensed the novelty of the idea when he heard some of An Yan’s requirements. On seeing the preliminary design, his previous interest instantly turned into strong excitement and fighting spirit.

Such an interesting and challenging design plan must be turned into reality with his hands!

Zhang Lei breathed a sigh of relief and humbly asked for advice, "Can I ask Senior Ren to enlighten me on the problems in this design report?"

Ren Bo looked down at the abbreviated version of the preliminary design: "If we consider it from the perspective of the existing profession, this preliminary design is actually quite perfect."

Zhang Lei was about to breathe a sigh of relief when he heard Ren Bo suddenly make a U-turn: "But if we consider the requirement list itself, this design plan has a big problem."

Zhang Lei immediately shuffled back the breath he was about to exhale and said, with a slight bow, "I would like to seek guidance from senior Ren."

"You should have known that the mecha An Yan wanted was different from all the mechas you had designed in the past when you received his design plan," Ren Bo put up his stance and said to this junior who looked quite agreeable, "Under such circumstances, if you draw based on your previous experience, not only will it fail to highlight the unique features of this mecha, it could also cause many drawbacks."

He pointed to a certain part of the design plan, "Like here, the material you initially chose is the mainstream material that most high-level mechas would currently have. The characteristic of this material is strength, but it lacks flexibility and is clearly not suitable for this mecha."
