The so-called Special Achievement Award was not something that could be given under ordinary circumstances.

Only those who had played an exceptional role in an event that has had a significant impact on humanity could be awarded a Special Achievement Award.

This was still not be a sufficient description of the rarity of the Special Achievement Award.

The number of people who had received the Special Achievement Award since the dawn of mankind could be counted on two hands.

Under these circumstances, it was a rare thing for An Yan to receive this special honor.

However, as the recipient of the Special Achievement Award, An Yan was completely unaware of these problems.

An Yan calmly received the information from the president, and arranged a time to meet with him.

In view of his course schedule, An Yan and the president arranged to meet at the Institute of Body Medicine on Saturday morning.

It was soon Saturday morning, and An Yan went to the Institute of Body Potions at the appointed time.

At that moment, the institute, which was supposed to be a little deserted because of the weekend, was a bustling place.

Although they hadn’t received a notified overtime, they all showed up early to see what the young man who had come up with the new idea for a body potion really looked like.

Although they had already heard about him, it was hard to believe that such a brilliant new idea could have been proposed by a College freshman.

Knowing that the meeting between the boy and the president was scheduled for 10 am, they gathered in the lobby of the institute at 9.30am, fearing that they would miss the momentous appearance of the boy.

But staring at the door would seem too deliberate, so they all tacitly disguised pretended to be chatting and drinking tea. It really did look like that.

So An Yan saw a lively and happy scene when he walked into the Institute of Body Potions according to the address the director had sent him.

An Yan was surprised by the scene.  Wasn’t it Saturday? How could there are so many people in the institute? Is it possible that the staff of the Institute don’t get weekends off?

This was too much work.

Thinking this, An Yan couldn’t help but give these people a sympathetic look before walking to the reception desk and politely speaking, “Hello, I’m An Yan. I made an appointment to meet with the president today. This is my appointment letter, so can I go in?”

Although she was only a receptionist at the front desk, she was no stranger to the name An Yan. His good and polite attitude made the receptionist’s eyes bend with a smile, “Yes, I’ll take you to the president’s office right now.”

“Thank you.” An Yan politely thanked her.

When he followed the receptionist into the elevator, everyone who had previously pretended to be drinking tea and chatting could no longer sit still. They hurriedly flocked to the other elevator to catch up and see what was going on.

There was a bit of a scuffle about it because the elevator only had so much capacity.

“Take it easy everyone and let me go up first. I really have something to report to the president!”

“Old Li, you don’t have to put on a show here. You reported the progress of the project yesterday, what else is there to report today? You’d better go home quickly!”

“The project is progressing so fast that one report a day is the norm, how do you …… eh, Lao Sun don’t pull me. I’ll squeeze in right away !”

“Come down! I ran over first, so I should go up first!”

“Stop squeezing! There’s no more room in the elevator. We won’t even make it upstairs if we keep going like this!”

……

Some people saw that the elevator was too crowded so they turned and ran towards the stairwell, intending to directly climb the stairs.

Just as everyone was scrambling and fighting to get upstairs, An Yan had already stepped out of the elevator under the guidance of the receptionist and arrived at the president's office.

“The president is right inside. Please go in.” The receptionist made a slight bow, not intending to follow him in.

“Thank you.” An Yan once again thanked him earnestly bed knocking on the office door. He push that door open after receiving permission and walked in.

The president, who was handling the affairs of the institution, heard the voice and hurriedly stood up to welcome him.

“Hello President, I’m An Yan.” An Yan spoke politely.

This was the first time they had formally met although they had talked a lot through the light brain.

The president looked at the well behaved and understanding young man and guided him to sit down on the sofa, “Please have a seat, An Yan.”

They sat down and the president quickly got to the point: “I asked you to come here today because I have two things to discuss with you. The first is about the thesis leak incident. The institution investigated the matter clearly and seriously dealt with the staff. This is the report on how they matter was handled. You can take a look at it and tell me if there is anything that you are not satisfied with, .”

With that, the president handed a document to An Yan.

Although An Yan did not show any anger and dissatisfaction about this matter, nor did he emphasize that the Institute must deal with this matter seriously, it was impossible for the Institute to take this matter lightly.

For one thing, the impact of the incident was bad. If it was not dealt with seriously, there was no guarantee that others would not develop evil thoughts as a result.

Secondly, they had a responsibility to give An Yan a satisfactory explanation as one of the victims of this incident.

An Yan was considered one of the victims because Liu Wei had leaked the contents of the papers he had access to more than once.

The president was a little shocked when he found out. He really did not expect that Liu Wei was using his position to do such illegal activities for about two years and that the Institute had never noticed it.

As a result, the scope of victims in this matter was very wide.

In order to settle the matter once and for all, the Institute also contacted the other victims to  explained the situation to them and offer compensation.

However, An Yan had the highest priority, as he was affected the most from the incident and caused a huge storm on the virtual net.

Fortunately, An Yan was very cooperative, and he didn’t even care about the Institute’s management negligence.

An Yan took the report and read it carefully for a while. He quickly nodded his head and said, “Thank you for your hard work.”

The more the president looked, the more he felt that this teenager was understanding, polite and accommodating. He was a very rare and good boy.

“It’s not hard work. This is what we should do,” the president couldn’t help but put on a kind smile, even his tone softened a bit, “I have one more thing to discuss with you aside from this.”

“What is it?” An Yan asked.

“After discussions and consultations between the Institute and other departments, we have decided to include you as an academician and present you with a special achievement award.” The president said.

“Yes, you already told me about this matter before.” An Yan blinked in confusion.

The president’s expression became extremely complicated. He found it hard to understand An Yan’s calm reaction when he told him about the matter in the communication before.

Leave alone a freshman who had just entered college, it would be a surprise for a researcher who had worked in the Institute for decades to be selected as an academician.

How could this suddenly become a trivial unsurprising matter to An Yan?

And even if the matter of academicians had no concept to An Yan, he would not be unaware of the Special Achievement Award, right?

Anyone who received the Special Achievement Award would be recorded in interstellar history and be admired by future generations.

But such a big event hadn’t even surprised the youngster?

For a moment, the president wondered if the youngster was so calm because he didn’t know what these two events represented.

The president sighed and stated one of the most important reasons for inviting An Yan over today, “An Yan, we intend to classify you as an Academician of the Institute. The Special Achievement Award may not be given to you until the next interstellar conference is held.”

The selection of Academicians required a rigorous review and assessment, not to mention the Special Achievement Award.  It would obviously be more strict than its conditions to be selected,  and the steps were even more complicated.

The main reasons for supporting An Yan to get a Special Achievement Award in the previous evaluation were as follows.

Firstly, the emergence of a new concept in body potions would undoubtedly revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry.

Secondly, it would be easier for body potions to solve the various problems caused by animal traits, allowing troubled humans to return to a normal and relaxed life.

Thirdly, and most importantly.

After so many years of struggle with animal features, the issue had gone beyond the realm of objective influence and had risen to a level close to faith.

Humans want to get rid of these animal features not just because their presence interferes with normal life, but because the vast majority believed that only by getting rid of these animal traits could they return to being truly human.

This slightly prejudiced thinking had grown along with human development and had almost become an obsession.

Although An Yan’s new concept cannot permanently rid humans of their animal features, the greatly increased duration of effectiveness and the almost negligible side effects could at least alleviate the obsession in humans’ minds to a large extent.  More so because they could easily remove the animal features at any time and remain in their normal human form.

This was a luxury in the past  because high quality potions were so rare, buying a satisfactory potion was difficult even one had the money.

But this will no longer be the case from now, and in the future.

Under such circumstances, the significance of this new concept was instantly elevated by several levels.

However, since there were those who agreed, and those who were naturally opposed.
