Volume 1 - CH 19.1

Chapter 1-19 : Epilogue of Arc 1 (part 1)

「Uuu… Lorea-chan, can you get me some water, please?」(Sarasa)

「Okay~ Wait a moment.」(Lorea)

The day after the battle against the Hellfire Grizzlies, I’m lying on my bed.

It’s not that I’m injured.

I just have muscle pain.

My entire body hurts.

It’s hard to move.

I was trying really hard in the battle yesterday, but the reason why I have muscle pain is the two bears that attacked my house.

I used body strengthening at maximum power and forcefully moved my body as quickly as possible to kill them.

Ordinary potions can’t relieve this pain.

I have to use expensive potions but I didn’t want to because I lost too much money in this battle.

Fortunately, I managed to collect all the important materials from the Hellfire Grizzlies’ corpses before my entire body started to hurt.

If I didn’t do that right away, the quality of the materials would drop and would affect the reconstruction funds and the rewards for those who worked hard yesterday.

Ahh, I really did a great job!

And speaking of the reconstruction funds, we managed to lure the majority of the Hellfire Grizzlies to the battle area, but there were three Hellfire Grizzlies that managed to enter the village.

Two of them were the ones who attacked my house, and the other one was the one I asked Andre-san and his party to deal with.

The bear that Andre-san fought against was so furious.

It destroyed the walls of the rented house for Collectors, and burned half of a villager’s house.

Well, that was quite terrible, but it was my house that was the most damaged.

Not only did they destroy my fences and doors, but they also ruined my high-quality herb field!

But the biggest problem was they also damaged my house’s walls.

Because there’s a ‘seal’ installed in my house, the cost of repairing my house’s walls is completely different from simply repairing an ordinary house’s walls.

The village mayor said that he would use the village’s money to repair the damaged houses, but I didn’t think it would be enough, so I told him that we could use the money we would get from selling the Hellfire Grizzlies’ materials.

By the way, it’s just my guess, but the reason why there were two Hellfire Grizzlies that came to my house is maybe because I made the magic crystal shards in my house.

Of course, I brought them all to the battle area and left none in my house, but maybe I spilled some when I carried the shards in a bowl.

In other words… it was my fault…

But like I said, it’s just my guess, so I still don’t know if it’s really the case or not.

「Sarasa-san, here’s your water.」(Lorea)

「Thank you. Uuu… it hurts…」(Sarasa)

When I tried to raise my upper body, I felt a tingling pain all over my body.

「Ah, let me help you.」(Lorea)

Lorea-chan sat down on my bed and helped me raise my body with one hand.

「I’m sorry to trouble you…」(Sarasa)

「Please, don’t worry about it. You’re the savior of this village, you know?」(Lorea)

「But I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help. And I think the reason why there were some Collectors who were willing to fight was because the villagers here were nice to them.」(Sarasa)

People like Andre-san and his party members don’t live in this village.

They could have left like the other Collectors to avoid danger.

However, they couldn’t abandon the villagers who were always nice to them.

The reason why I fought was also because I couldn’t leave Lorea-chan.

「Lorea-chan, you must have been scared…」(Sarasa)

「Well, a little. But I knew Sarasa-san would come to save me. Besides, this house’s walls are pretty strong.」(Lorea)

「It’s because I have installed a ‘seal’ in this house. A normal human could never destroy the walls, but…」(Sarasa)

They were not humans, they were Hellfire Grizzlies after all.

So it’s not strange that they could damage this house’s walls with their thick arms.

「More importantly, no one was seriously injured thanks to Sarasa-san’s potions. If you hadn’t distributed potions to everyone, many would have died in battle.」(Lorea)

「Ahh, I worked really hard for that. But Lorea-chan, you also helped me make the potions, so it’s also thanks to you.」(Sarasa)

I sacrificed my sleeping time to make the potions, but I have no regret.

Because I distributed them in large amounts, everyone could use them as soon as they got hurt.

As a result, they were able to concentrate on fighting without getting more serious injuries.

Even if there were people who still had some injuries, they could just use the remaining potions.

So I’m probably the only one who needs help in this village now…

I feel miserable.

But it can’t be helped.

I’m originally a person who works with her brain after all.

After I drank the water Lorea-chan brought me, she once again helped me to lie down on the bed.

「Thank you… It’s a little embarrassing to be cared for by a younger girl…」(Sarasa)

「Eehh… You don’t need to feel embarrassedー」(Lorea)

「ーThen, let me take care of her!」(Iris)

Suddenly, the door opened and Iris-san, who was supposed to help clean up the village, rushed in.

She looked really excited for some reason.

She didn’t look like a person who fought in the great battle yesterday.
