Name:The Idol's Wife Author:Tea_Tae
Dojoon was waiting beside the underground cells. He had informed Ziko about the intruder and the latter was on his way. He had already sent his current assistant, Songil, ahead of him.  The door to the underground tunnel burst open. Songil walked in followed by an armed guard wearing a combat mask.  "Where are they?" Songil asked.  "In here," Dojoom said, pointing at the cells. Songil peered in. A dark haired, skinny girl in her late twenties was leaning against the wall.  "And Goo Soo Bin?"  Dojoon pointed at the other cell. Goo Soo Bin was in there, unconscious.  "Did Ziko give you the orders to kill him?" Songil frowned.  "He's too dangerous!" Dojoon said. "The police will find out in a few hours that this woman is missing. They will come searching for her here. And if they find these two, we will be dead. We will tell Ziko that he died of old age."  Songil raised an eyebrow. "Ziko won't like this," he pointed out.  "We don't have an option!" Dojoon snapped. "Besides, it's not the first time we have done this!"  "Fine," Songil said. "But better be quick! How long will he live?"  "Four more hours," Dojoon replied.  "It will take Ziko longer than that to get here," Songil said thoughtfully. "We'll take care of the matter. Till then, we'll have to tighten the security. Show me the security plans."  Songil then turned to his bodyguard. "Stay here and keep an eye on the prisoners," he ordered.  "Yes sir," the guard nodded. Songil followed Dojoon out of the room.  The doctor led Songil upstairs to the security room. The room was full of security monitors around the facility. He took out a blueprint of the building.  "Our security is very tight," Dojoon explained. "There are guards on every floor along with CCTV cameras. The only way to get in is through the front entrance." Songil carefully studied the monitors. He nodded in satisfaction. The floors were widely covered by cameras and the guards were armed. It was practically impossible to enter the building by other means.  "What's that?" Songil asked, pointing at a long, wide pipe-like area on the edge of the building.  "That's the trash chute," Dojoon said. "There are guards and cameras around that place too."  "I want to check that area myself," he said, putting his hand on the monitor, adjusting it. "Another group of guards are arriving tonight. As a precaution. We have news that Abyss is planning to break Goo Soo Bin out of here." "What?" Dojoon exclaimed. "And Ziko-"  "Is coming here to deal with them himself," Songil revealed. "If we're not wrong, the CEO herself is leading the mission. We have to catch her tonight. Otherwise, Ziko will kill all of us."  Dojoom was perspiring. This was much bigger than he had imagined. Abyss and Ziko showdown at his own facility. It will turn into a battlefield.  "Alright," Dojoon said. "We'll go through the security details. When will your men arrive?" "They're almost here," Songil said, checking his watch. "Let's review the plans again."  They reviewed the plans before calling it a day.  "I'll go and check the trash chute," Songil said. The doctor nodded and Songil went off towards the trash chute.  There were two guards there. They saluted Songil as he approached them.  "There's been a change of plans," he told them. "My men will guard this area. You two will go and guard the doctor's chamber."  The guards did not question him and went off towards the doctor's chamber. Songil lit a cigarette. The sun was setting and night was almost upon them.  He casually flicked his cigarette away and paced back and forth on the grass. Suddenly, his clock beeped. It was 6 PM.  Songil scanned the area until his eyes fell on a closed manhole on the ground. It was locked tight. He looked around and found a crowbar lying a few feet away.  Picking it up, he approached the manhole. Making sure no one was around, he attached the bar to the lock and pushed hard. It took him several minutes but finally, he managed to yank it open.  He pulled the lid up.  "Took you guys long enough!" he wheezed. "I was so tensed, CEO!"  Mirae climbed up the manhole wearing a combat mask and uniform similar to the Cartel's guards. Hyun Jung followed suit and soon more men climbed up the hole. Finally, fifty people emerged out of it, wearing the same uniform and masks. They all looked exactly like the guards defending the asylum.  "Did you disable the cameras?" Mirae asked.  "Yes!" Songil said at once. "I put the chip you gave me inside one of the monitors. They are now repeating the same image." "And entry point?" Hyun Jung asked.  "That," Songil said, pointing at the trash chute. "It will lead you to the second floor. Once you get in, you'll have to look for the underground entrance. The bookshelf only had a single cell. They've been moved to cells which are right beneath the staircase on the first floor. There's a trapdoor underneath which will lead you to their cells." Mirae nodded and turned to her men. "Hyun Jung, you will lead Team A to the underground area," she said. "Team B will follow me. We'll enter casually through the front entrance. We'll cover for Team A and get rid of unwanted attention. Got it?"  Everyone nodded. Hyun Jung motioned his team to follow him while Mirae les her team towards the front entrance with Songil in tow.  ….  Meanwhile, Eli was frantically looking for a way out. Soo Bin was already thrashing in pain in the next cell and there was little time.  She began to thump on the door in desperation.  "Let us out!" she demanded. "He'll die in there! Please!"  Tears were flowing uncontrollably. She could not bear it if Soo Bin dies. He was near death only because of hee stupidity. If only she had not opened the bookshelf and had reported straight to Abyss instead!  "Please help him…" she begged. She was crying hard but no one was there to help her.  "Please…help…" she pleaded, closing her eyes in despair.  "Are you seriously gonna give up this easily?"  Eli snapped her eyes open and looked up. Dasom was grinning at her through the bars.
