Chapter 289 - Wedding (6): Anxious

Name:The Idol's Wife Author:Tea_Tae
Mirae stared at the gown in wonder. The dress was eloquently made with the finest attention to each and every detail. Whoever made the gown was very much aware of the emotions of a newly wedded bride. The roses stitched on it resembled the pure passion of a couple in love while the changing of the color from white to blue reflected the peace and happiness of their wedded life. The material was not too heavy, making it perfect for her. It was the wedding gown of her dreams.

"Where did you get this?" she whispered.

"The CEO of TNT Corps made it specially for you!" Somi exclaimed. "He created it in such a short notice that we were surprised to see the result. Now, it's time for you to wear it."

She turned to the men. "You guys go and make sure that KJ does not sneak in here!" she commanded. "Go help him! Shoo!"

She pushed the men out of the door and shut it tight.

"I want to see KJ!" Mirae protested but Eli shut her out.

"CEO, its your wedding," she said. "It's bad luck to see the groom before the wedding. Which is why we told Mr. Kwon not to talk to you all day! Control yourself for a few more hours. He's fine. He's getting dressed up in the hall opposite to the entrance. Relax."

Before Mirae could argue, Somi pushed her to a chair. A devilish gleam played in her eyes. She picked up a brush and primer.

"Time to turn you into the most beautiful bride in the world," she announced with pride.

….

Back at his dressing room, KJ was pacing back and forth when Hyun Jung and Dasom entered.

"Is she here?" he asked.

"She is," Hyun Jung nodded.

"I want to see her," KJ said at once but Dasom and Hyun Jung blocked his way.

"Sorry but the Maid of Honor said that you can't see her before the ceremony!" Dasom reminded him.

"But I just want to talk to her-"

"Do you wanna be killed by the Maid-zilla?" Hyun Jung asked. "If you want to be in one piece for your honeymoon then do as you're told."

That was enough to shut KJ up. "Go and get ready," Hyun Jung advised. "Let the bride's look remain a mystery. That's the fun in a wedding."

KJ smirked and took his tu before heading off into the washroom to change. After an hour, he stepped out.

He was in a completely black attire. Even the silky shirt he was wearing inside was black, which complemented his fair skin. He had dyed his hair a deep shade of brown and brushed his it backwards. He was not wearing a tie but a bow right underneath his neck. The jacket fit him perfectly, his bulging muscles visible underneath. There was a green corsage coming out of his pocket. His jet black eyes were beaming as his famous mischievous smile played on his lips. He looked every bit like the star he was.

"Your wife is gonna find a hard time keeping her hands off you during your honeymoon," Dasom joked.

"I bet she'll look even better," KJ challenged. "Only my wife can be more beautiful than me."

"Stop boasting!" Hyun Jung scolded him. He checked the watch. "It's seven thirty! We have only thirty minutes to the ceremony. Somi just texted. Mirae is ready."

KJ felt his heart racing. He did not ask her about the wedding and had planned it all on his own. What if she did not like it? What if she was disappointed in the arrangements? Was something about to go wrong?

Hyun Jung read his mind. "Don't think about bad stuff," he advised. "I'm sure Mirae is very grateful for what you did."

"I did nothing," KJ admitted. "If you guys hadn't helped, I wouldn't have been able to pull this off."

"We know," Dasom said smugly while Hyun Jung nodded. Both of them knew how clueless KJ was when it came to understanding women. When KJ came to them for help with the wedding, everyone had to guide him otherwise it would have taken the guy centuries to plan the whole thing.

"Let's go," Hyun jung said. He led KJ towards the small stage which was set up in front of the altar while Dasom went towards the girls' dressing room to escort Mirae to the altar when she arrived. Jade was seated on the side. He was holding a basket in his mouth with the wedding rings in it. KJ flashed him a brief smile before heading towards the altar.

Seeing KJ so happy made Jade elated. He never thought that he would get to see the wedding of the two most important people in his life. He was destined to bring them together and it seemed that his mission was about to be fulfilled. Please don't ruin it this time, he prayed. Please.

KJ took a deep breath. He was feeling very nervous. Even though they were already married, it was their official wedding ceremony. He wanted Mirae to love and cherish every second of it for the rest of her life. The dread that something was about to go wrong was flooding his mind.

Was the food okay? Will she like the ring? Did she like the surprise? Or was she angry?

The negative thoughts just would not leave his mind. He just wanted her to be happy but now he was doubting his plan. She had mentioned that with the threat of the Cartel looming above them, it was best not to plan unnecessary things. Was she going to berate him?

KJ wanted to smack himself. He should not have been so reckless. If anything went wrong, he really would have to live with it for the rest of his life.

"Don't be nervous!" Hyun Jung whispered from behind him. He could sense KJ's anxiety from a mile away. The guy just would not stop worrying!

"I can't help it!" KJ hissed back. Riggs was standing at the center, chuckling lightly as he noticed KJ's nervousness. Young love, he sighed inwardly.

As KJ kept on dwindling on his worries, the door of the chapel burst open. Somi walked in first, wearing a light pink gown holding a bouquet of roses. Her silky long hair was tied in a bun and she looked radiant as she approached the stage. She threw a brief wink at Hyun Jung who was stumped by her beauty.

Somi strutted towards the left side of the stage, turning towards the entrance. A slow violin began to play in the background through the sound box. The lights placed on both sides of the entrance shone brightly, almost blinding KJ. He tried to see through the brightness, squinting his eyes for better focus. The outline of two people came to view amidst the white lights.

As the figures drew closer, KJ's mind went blank upon the sight of his bride.
