“Kalin…”

“I asked what you intend to do, Rust.”

I turn around, and my eyes meet Kalin’s, who is glaring at me.

Her usual grin is nowhere to be seen. All I see is a very serious face.

Those eyes feel like they’re piercing through me.

“I’m trying to expel Araysla from Taula’s body and eliminate her.”

I say while turning my head, mentioning the objective, but not the means.

“And you’re sacrificing yourself to do it, right?”

“Is that one of your hunches that are usually right about bad things?”

I ask, sort of playing dumb and trying to evade the question.

Then again, I’m kind of glad that I get to talk to Kalin like this in the end.

The power of curses is the power of feelings. Using all the memories and feelings only amounts to thirty percent, which means that even if I use all my being, it might not be enough. Yes, talking to Kalin like this now is good.

“No, this is just me asking. Rust, I can’t overlook this habit of yours of self-sacrifice this time.”

Says Kalin between labored breaths.

I’m about to respond, but I’m interrupted.

“Lady Kalin. Master Rust is about to turn his entire being into curses.”

Ahri declares something I really didn’t want others to know.

Ahri and Roa are also walking over here while supporting each other.

They struggle with each step, but don’t stop. They support each other’s body as they continue stepping forward.

“Ahri, that left eye! Is your future sight magic eye back!? Of course, everything Zwei took away and stored in the sanctuary also came back…”

“Yes, I was surprised when it returned all of a sudden. But now I am nothing but thankful to once again have this power, and for once I am glad that I was born with it. I can stop you from sacrificing yourself alone.”

Ahri’s future sight magic eye is active without her monocle or cloth. I can tell it’s consuming a lot of magic elements, and it’s clear that the magic eye itself isn’t under her control.

If it keeps going like this, it’s going to consume all her magic elements!

“You need to put on your magic item right away, Ahri!”

“Even now, you are worried about me, Master Rust.”

“Of course. Hurry and…”

“My sister is fine. Listen to what she says.”

Despite what she says, Roa can’t hide the concern in her face. Although I feel strong resolve in her tone too.

“Ooh! Do you have a plan?”

Kalin asks as she turns to Ahri and Roa.

“Yes, Lady Kalin. What Master Rust is attempting to do, replenishing 『curses』. And for that, what we need the most is 『feelings』 and 『memories』.”

Ahri takes a deep breath, and continues.

“Especially the one performing the curses. 『Feelings』 and 『memories』 towards the one performing the curses are especially strong.”

Ahri is clearly seeing multiple possible futures, and pretty far ahead. But how far can she see? Even with the power of a demigod, I can’t tell.

But more importantly, what she said is the last thing I wanted them to know.

“No!”

I can see where this is going, and unconsciously rush to stop them.

“Quiet, Rust.”

“Don’t interrupt my sister, Master Rust.”

I get Kalin and Roa’s cold voices in response.

“Lady Kalin, we have three. And they will be enough…”

“Yes, no problem. That’s enough, I understand.”

Kalin responds with a serious expression to this suggestion of Ahri, that I can’t at all accept.

“All of this is a problem!”

I protest, but Kalin ignores it.

“By the way Ahri. Do you know the process to change 『feelings』 into curses?”

Ahri is at a loss for words for the first time since they came back, and turns away from Kalin.
