Chapter 1523: An Old Customer!

Chapter 1523: An Old Customer!

After Sheri left the store, another customer took her place, and Aakesh got busy with that.

Around two hours later, Aakesh was finally free of any customers, so he instantly called out for the Panagea quest.

The next moment, a blue screen containing the quest details appeared before him, and another small blue window containing the progress screen popped up.

[Mission Sequence: Eight

...

]

[Mission Progress:

Days: 50,000/50,000.]

Aakesh nodded after seeing the details on the screen since the quest had finally fulfilled the requirement. The store would finally have a new set of virtual portals, and what was even more exciting was that with that completion, the store had most probably fulfilled the requirement for the next collective quest.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh heard the sound of footsteps approaching the store. He immediately waved his hands, and the two screens disappeared. He then looked in the direction of the door and saw an old face approaching the store.

***

"Hello, store owner," Tira smilingly greeted Aakesh.

Aakesh silently nodded in response to her greeting. She didn't mind since she had gotten accustomed to Aakesh's indifferent behavior after coming to the store twice.

The last time she came to the store was several decades earlier, and that was to purchase the King level cultivation art.

When Tira came to the store, she had lived for more than two billion years without any growth in her cultivation, making her stuck at the Lesser God level. She purchased top-level cultivation art from the store and destroyed her cultivation, starting again.

Her decision turned out to be beneficial for her, as she regained her lost cultivation in only around a century. Her level had returned to intermediate Lesser God, the cultivation at which she had first come to the store.

Tira had been working hard since she came to the store, so the present entry was only her third entry to the store. Since she had now regained her cultivation, she no longer needed to push herself as earlier and could become a regular at the store henceforth.

"Has any new product arrived in the store?" Tira asked.

Tira walked into the beast room, with her destination being the second pillar. She had already summoned a beast from the first pillar, which had now stepped into the True God level.

Since she no longer needed to worry about her cultivation, she could now have a second beast. She then joined the line and waited for her turn.

She had summoned Feralith from the first device, which was of legendary quality and had pure offensive skills. For the second device, she hoped for a beast with a good amount of supporting skills.

Card Description: The Clam Manatee is a peaceful creature. Its attributes of water and earth make it a powerful opponent in battle. This card can be used to summon a powerful monster onto the battlefield, capable of dealing massive damage to its opponent and supporting its allies. Use it wisely, and watch your opponents fall before the might of the Clam Manatee.

Price: Twenty-eight ultimate Sacred stones.}

The upper half of the card contained an illustration of the beast. The Clam Manatee was a massive creature, with its body looking like a manatee, smooth, rounded form, thick, earthy-colored hide, and sturdy and muscular broad flippers. A giant clam shell had fused seamlessly into its back. It was massive and robust, with rough, rocky textures and earthy hues.

Tira nodded in appreciation, reading the details on the card. She wanted a beast that was more of a supporting type, and the Clam Manatee was exactly that.

Since the beast's quality wasn't low, she decided to select it as her second summon from the store.

The Clam Manatee was the result of mating between a member of the Copper Clam and the Blue Manatee. Both the parent races were aquatic creatures, but the Clam Manatee exceeded expectations by becoming both a terrestrial and aquatic creature.

The birth of the Clam Manatee also caused a serious issue between the Copper Clam and Blue Manatee. Copper Clam was a race that controlled the element of metal, while Clam Manatee had the element of earth, which was out of nowhere.

Since Father Clam was the son of one of the elders of the race, they thought that Mother Manatee had been unfaithful to the father, resulting in a small episode of a diplomatic brawl. The issue only calmed down when it was confirmed that the father and son were connected by blood.

Both parent races were mid-tier, and the Clam Manatee was also one despite being able to walk on land, which its parent races couldn't do.

The Clam Manatee was a prosperous race, with its leader being at the peak Supreme God cultivation level, and it was the first of its race.

After waiting for a while, it was Tira's turn to face the taming battle. She placed the beast card in the card compartment and her hand in the respective section.

The next moment, she found herself in a different environment. She stood on an island with an endless body of water all around it.

Splash!

A sound captured Tira's attention, and the massive beast jumped out of the water.

Squeak!

The Clam Manatee squeaked as it stared at the intruder. Its eyes didn't contain any hostility for Tira but were full of curiosity regarding her. She smiled in response to that.

Ding!

The directionless bell rang, announcing the start of the battle.

Despite the beast's massive body, it wasn't slow in its movement and immediately appeared before Tira. It attacked with its large flippers, the size of Tira.

There was no hint of killing intent in the beast's action since it was simply battling due to the rules set by the system. The Clam Manatee was a pretty chill beast that wouldn't get into a fight unless it had to.

Time flew by, and the battle between Tira and the beast kept on raging for hours with no end in sight.

The Clam Manatee's defenses were extremely tight, not allowing Tira to win despite her offensive superiority over the beast.
