Chapter 934 The Fifth Product(2)

Chapter 934: The Fifth Product(2)

Alfred and Asher knew that once Jaimie found out about the store's products and the store owner's unwillingness to interfere with the city's administration, the King's greed wouldn't allow him to let Thorr City live free.

When compared to his father, Jaimie was a more gentle king, but he also loved power, and because of the store's presence, Thorr City would present a challenge to Jaimie's rule. Jaimie didn't want the situation to get any worse under his rule since the Ronar Kingdom had already taken over one of the Kingdom's controlled towns.

Jaimie needed something that would not only quench his father's anger once he found out about the territory loss, but he also wanted something that would force the father to acknowledge him.

Alfred and Asher hoped that they would make the King believe that the store owner was on their side, which would make the King not act against the city to take control of it.

After learning about the store, the first thought that came to his mind was to eliminate the store owner. But once he heard about the store's products, the dangerous thought disappeared, and in its place, the idea of taking advantage emerged in his heart.

Jaimie chose to send his oldest son to investigate the store because he wasn't a fool to think Asher was telling the truth. Jarad was in cultivation, so he forced the Vurron duo to stay in the royal palace.

"How did he get control of this much Eternal Stone in the first place?" Jarad couldn't help but mumble, looking at the floor.

A dangerous thought of stealing emerged in his heart, but he soon vanquished it. He hadn't lived for so long to lose himself in his greed.

The Eternal Stones were valuable--extremely valuable. Someone in control of it wouldn't be someone that he could mess with.

His father owned only a tiny piece, even though he was a True God, so the family behind the non-demon must be some terrifying figure.

Even if someone told Jarad that this non-demon had legendary strength and cultivation and was a member of the top races of the Sacred Dimension, Jarad wouldn't be skeptical.

"Hello, store owner!" Jarad greeted Aakesh as he approached him.

"I am Jarad. The next in line to be the King of this great Kingdom," Jarad introduced himself. His pride could be clearly heard in his voice when he talked about the Kingdom.

"I am Aakesh." Aakesh gave his usual introduction.

For a moment, Jarad forgot what to say next, as he expected at least a little respect from the store owner after he revealed his introduction.

"Store owner, do you have any plans to move into the capital city?" Jarad asked after learning about the store's products.

Jarad had already learned about the store's products from Alfred and Asher, but hearing them directly from the source was clearly better. From talking with the store owner, he didn't feel that the owner supported Alfred's continued control over the city. But since he couldn't be sure, he tried to take his chances by inviting the store.

"For your store, the Kingdom would give you the best piece of land without any cost.." Jarad didn't stop and began to share the benefits if Aakesh chose to move into the capital city.

***

"I like peace, and I hope the situation will continue," Aakesh suddenly stated, taking Jarad by surprise.

'Does he really support these Vurrons?' Jarad wondered in his heart since he understood that it was a warning from the store owner.

Aakesh understood Jarad's reason for coming here after hearing his questions. Aakesh didn't care who took over the city as long as he and his store operated peacefully. So Aakesh warned Jarad about not disturbing the peace.

Aakesh's context was that even if Jarad wanted to take control of Thorr City, he should do it in a way that wouldn't affect the store and its customers, while Jarad thought differently. From the warning, he understood that the store owner was warning him and his father that he wouldn't like the Kingdom meddling with the city.

Jarad, Alfred, and Asher left the store after Jarad's conversation with the store owner. The trio wanted to enter Panagea, but since they would need to wait for several hours and Jaimie had ordered them to return to the Kingdom right after the talks, the trio had to leave the store.

Since there was a barrier surrounding the store owner and the customer, so Alfred and Asher didn't hear a single word in the conversation.

Their faces were tense since this conversation would decide their fate. They would perish should Jaimie decide to seize power in the city. Jaimie wouldn't leave them alive, waiting for revenge. If Jaimie decided against it, it would begin a new era for the Vurrons.

Jarad's face turned ugly as soon as he stepped out of the store. Asher's heart skipped a beat after seeing that ugly expression, but soon it turned into joy. Alfred had the same reaction.

Jarad's eyes turned cold when he saw the joy on the faces of the duo. Asher and Alfred hurriedly hid their smiles since they didn't want to make enemies in the Kingdom.

Although Jarad was only an intermediate Divine Lord, his father and grandfather were both True Gods.

Jarad didn't say anything and silently proceeded toward the portal junction. Alfred and Asher followed him while conversing spiritually.

'Did the store owner support us?' Alfred asked with a mix of confusion and joy.

'His dead expression can only mean this,' Asher replied with a burst of raucous laughter.

As Aakesh returned to his relaxation session, he was unaware of the situation his misunderstood warning had caused.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh heard the sound of footsteps coming from the door. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction. A familiar face welcomed his sight as his expression turned weird.

It was Laula, the chatterbox. Since Laula didn't break any rules, Aakesh couldn't throw her out, otherwise, he would have done it long ago.

Once Laula began speaking, she wouldn't stop till she had shared her entire day's experience with him.

***

"What do you want to buy?" Aakesh asked after Laula's mouth stopped uttering words.
