Chapter 470

Chapter 470: Reasons!

Due to the shaking of the net, Aakesh finally found himself in the direction he wanted to see.

The owner of the voice finally presented itself to Aakesh.

The creature was so towering that it was hundreds of thousands of miles away from where Aakesh was, yet Aakesh felt as if the creature was right in front of him.

A surprised expression appeared on Aakesh’s face as he recognized the creature.

The creature in front of Aakesh was a spider, but it had 108 pairs of legs and a three colored carapace, purple being the bottom, blood-red being the mid, and black being the top.

There was a crown-like structure on top of the spider’s head, and it was also three-colored, just like its carapace.

The spider legs were in the form of tree roots, and they were spread across the ground. Aakesh couldn’t see their ends. He finally knew the source of the movement below his feet and the reason behind random barren patches in the area.

The creature standing in front of Aakesh wasn’t a being from the Primal dimension, but it was an exclusive native to the Sacred dimension.

These creatures were one of the mid-tier races in the Sacred dimension, and since none of them had been able to ascend, they stayed exclusive to the Sacred dimension.

It belonged to a race called Three-Colored Crown Spider in the arachnid group.

Fortunately for Aakesh, it didn’t have the strength it usually had, or Aakesh would’ve died and wouldn’t have survived up to this point. Aakesh believed the spider’s attack power to be similar to the Void beasts since he found its attacks powerful but not life-threatening.

The crown of the spider was made up of similar arrows that were shot against Aakesh from the start.

Aakesh finally found the source of both the arrows and the blast.

The crown shot arrows, while the spider legs did the blast since it was their ability.

After finding out the enemy, Aakesh still didn’t move and waited for the creature to approach him.

The reason he got himself caught was to fight the enemy head-on.

The reason he didn’t get himself free straight away and instead waited for the spider to arrive near him was because of the spider’s ability to create explosions.

The spider had 108 legs, and all of them were spread underground. Unfortunately for Aakesh, he could neither fly nor sense what was happening under the ground. If he could, he wouldn’t have only found out about the movement when it happened right below his feet, not once but all three times.

Since the spider had 108 legs, it had the ability to create 108 explosions at once. Even Aakesh knew his body wouldn’t be able to handle the force unleashed by simultaneous blasts, and it was only the best case. He didn’t know whether the spider could release more than one explosion or not from its one leg.

Aakesh emotionlessly looked at the spider coming toward him. Due to its legs spread across the underground, the spider walked at a crawling rate, and it created straight mounds across the ground simultaneously.

But since the spider spanned across tens of thousands of miles, it reached Aakesh in only a few seconds.

“If you’d struggled, I wouldn’t have to torture you,” A female voice rang in the area as the spider bent its head and looked closely at its prey.

“Hehe, let’s see how long you can maintain this facade,” The spider chucked, seeing the emotionless face of Aakesh.

The next moment, the crown on the spider’s head started shining.

Not long after, arrows got released from it, and then they flew toward Aakesh stuck to the net.

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

The next moment, continuous sounds of explosion rang in the area as the arrows clashed with Aakesh.

The explosion wasn’t large since the spider wanted to torture Aakesh and not kill him. The arrows hit different parts of Aakesh’s body.

“Eh!” The spider exclaimed in surprise as when the fire released from the explosion subsided, its prey was nowhere to be seen.

“How… how… how did you get free?” The next moment, the spider trembled and asked in fear as it found energy gathering on its head.

The reason these spiders were called Three-colored Crown Spiders, even though their carapace had the same color formation and crowns were common in arachnid groups, was because the crowns contained their life source.

The crown was the most durable part of their body, and similarly, their weakness, as they could survive when their heads were severed, hearts got burst/taken out, but they couldn’t live if their crowns got destroyed.

Aakesh didn’t answer with words, but instead, with his attack. He rammed the dark energy ball the size of a basketball into the center of the crown.

“Crack!”

“Crack!”

“Argh!”Â

Continuous cracking sounds rang in the area, and the spider screamed in pain as its crown started having cracks.

The crowns weren’t called the most durable part of these spiders for no reason. Except for a few cracks, nothing major happened despite taking Aakesh’s strike head-on.

Aakesh was aware of its durability, so right after his first strike, he activated the skill once more and rammed into the center of the crown again.

“BOOM!”

“Crack!”

“ARGH!”

Mixtures of sounds rang in the area as after every attack, an explosion would occur, resulting in the crack expanding and making the spider feel unbearable pain.

“Please… please, let me… me go,” The spider pleaded for the umpteenth time as it never expected the situation to turn unfavorable for it right after it presented itself.

Aakesh ignored the spider’s pleadings and continued bombarding his Apocalyptic Blast onto the center of its crown.

Aakesh hadn’t used the full-powered attack for now, as he wanted to have some words with the spider before killing it.

He didn’t want to test the strength of his full-powered Apocalyptic Blast live on the spider before he didn’t find some things related to this world.

Time flew by.

“How did you come here?” Aakesh asked after destroying half the spider’s crown.

Since the Apocalyptic Blast contained the element of Nihility, the injury on the crown refused to heal, resulting in the spider opening its mouth.

“I was born here,” The voice rang in the area as the spider’s mouth was several times larger than Aakesh.
