CH 9

To Bian Bian, one good thing she discovered after saving Zhu Yuan was that after he woke up, she could start eating hot meals and warm water again.

The day that Lu Yu got into an accident, Bian Bian was extremely frightened. She would stand in front of the front door every day, pasting her tiny face to the door to listen for any noise outside.

There was nothing.

She listened to grandpa’s words. He said to never open the door no matter what noise she heard.

So, even if she hoped that grandpa would open the door every day, she had never opened the door on her own initiative.

She wanted to heat the water up herself, but fell down in the process, so she didn’t dare to enter the kitchen to use the tools there anymore. She could only drink cold mineral water and eat hard uncooked instant noodles.

Bian Bian had a sensitive stomach and puked out whatever she ate the first few days. Knowing that this was a waste of food, she didn’t dare to eat anymore after that and only sipped cold water. After drinking the water her stomach started hurting again.

It was during those first few days that she started visibly losing weight.

After getting past those few days, Bian Bian’s body finally started getting used and stopped making a fuss.

Zhu Yuan’s arrival allowed the kitchen utensils and the remaining gas in the gas tank finally be of use. The little lass ran into the kitchen many times to look at them before returning to grandpa’s room where Zhu Yuan was lying unconscious, quietly praying for him to wake up.

After the bullet was taken out and and the wound was roughly dressed, Zhu Yuan laid on the bed and fainted away reassured. He had to sleep to replenish the energy he lost.

His lips were so dry that they were chapping. Bian Bian retrieved her own cup and mimicked the way grandpa used to take care of her in the past, using a wet cotton bud to wipe Zhu Yuan’s chapped lips.

The little lass was concentrating very hard. She wiped his lips when it was dry, repeating this step more than ten times before finally putting the cup down and waited for Zhu Yuan to wake up beside the bed.

“Grey Grey, we are finally going to eat hot noodles when uncle wakes up.” The little girl rubbed her stomach when she heard it grumble. She smiled in anticipation as she recalled the smell of steaming hot noodles.

Suddenly, an idea popped up in Bian Bian head. Turning around, she ran into her own room and took out a pink coloured metal box. Then, she opened it, revealing a pile of small multicoloured stones.

Bian Bian knew that these were crystals. Sometimes after grandpa killed monsters, he would dig these out of their heads. Grandpa said that these were good things, plus she even saw him holding these crystals while closing his eyes.

Uncle’s received such a bad injury, will these crystals help him get better quicker?

Bian Bian brought the metal box into the room next door and grabbed a pile of them and placed them on Zhu Yuan’s body. Then, Bian Bian saw green colour crystals light up, emitting a faint glow. And with that she knew that green crystals were of use to Zhu Yuan.

So, the little girl carefully picked out a bunch of green crystals and placed them on Zhu Yuan.

Xiu Jin who was separated by a screen felt as if his heart was bathing in jealousy. He was as jealous as one could get.

He started to regret ‘operating’ on Zhu Yuan.

However, something that made Xiu Jin even more jealous happened. After the little girl saw that the green crystals were starting to glow, she went out of the room and even thoughtfully closed the door. Then, went brought the clothes Zhu Yuan took off into the bathroom. She was going to wash Zhu Yuan’s clothes for him!

Xiu Jin: …

Could her tiny arms and legs wash a full grown man’s clothes?

Xiu Jin was filled with anger. What did Lu Yu teach his granddaughter, how could she treat random strangers so well.

“Grandpa is going to wear his own clothes in the future. I’ve already given one set to Zhu Yuan, I can’t take again.” The little girl said to the little bear. The was the real reason Bian Bian was washing Zhu Yuan’s clothes for him.

She was ‘stingy’. She didn’t want to give grandpa’s clothes to Zhu Yuan, however, he didn’t have any other clothes to wear, so she could only wash the clothes he previously had on. That way he could have clothes to change into.

The little girl thoughtfully thought.

Xiu Jin instantly felt comforted. So the reason precious was washing Zhu Yuan’s clothes for him was because she couldn’t bear to give grandpa’s clothes to him.

An adult’s clothes couldn’t be washed in the wash basin, so Bian Bian filled a tub with water before throwing the shirt in. Then, she poured washing powder into it.

When Bian Bian saw the water start to turn dark red, she started worrying.

Too dirty.

After changing the water a few times, the water finally started becoming clearer. Bian Bian was extremely tired. She didn’t think that washing an adult’s clothes would be so difficult. In the end, after stretching her aching arms, she decided to let the clothes stay in the water for now. Uncle could wash it himself when he woke up.

Grandpa had taught her the phrase do as much as you can, so Bian Bian didn’t feel that being unable to continue halfway through washing the clothes was considered giving up.

Xiu Jin laughed when he heard his precious daughter mumbling in her adorable voice.

Baby was just this clever, having such a wide range of knowledge at this young age.

He swept an eye over the boy. “Are six year olds… all so tall?”

Xiu Jin thought, this was already tall for a six year old. The little boy seemed to sound slightly displeased with it.

After giving the gift to the child, he decided to first have a chat with Mei Shao Xian to ask him about how he usually interacted with Mei Qing Ruo.

Mei Shao Xian thought that he had heard wrong. Xiu Jin actually asked him this kind of question.

“Why, is the emperor already rushing you to get married and have children?”

“Obviously.” Mei Shao Xian boasted, “That’s my son, who else is he going to like if not me.”

Xiu Jin’s lips twitched. Speaking as if no one has a kid.

It’s just that his was in a game.

Xiu Jin wanted to inquire a bit more, however with other guests coming in, Mei Shao Xian had to go and welcome them so Xiu Jin could only let him go. He turned and pulled Mei Qing Ruo over to the side. “Little Mei’zi.”

Little boy Mei Qing Ruo frowned, disapproving, “Seventh uncle, I have a name. My name is Mei Qing Ruo, not little Mei’zi.”

Since Xiu Jin had something to ask of him, he changed the address. “Little Qing Ruo, lets say you’re alone at home and everything you want do requires the help of an adult. Just then, you find out that an invisible person has entered the house and is trying to help you. Do you think that this person is a good person?”

Little Mei’s eyes widened. He immediately shook his head, “That person snuck into my house, how could they be a good person?”

“Trying to help me while hiding their identity? That person’s obviously going to do something bad.” The boy continued to make his conclusion, “This person is definitely a bad guy and a pervert!”

So, in baby’s heart, he was a big pervert? That’s where the -50 came from?

He asked, “Little Qing Ruo, what is that person going to have to do to make you feel unafraid?”

Mei Qing Ruo pondered for a moment before shaking his head. “I don’t know. Anyways, if an invisible baddie ran into the house, I will immediately sound the police alarm in the house. The police will come here soon and bring the pervert away.”

He felt like he was asking the wrong person for help.

When Xiu Jin reopened the game and found that his precious daughter was chewing on raw instant noodles again, he couldn’t care about whether or not his intimacy points would reduce. He quickly brought today’s share of red apple from the market.

It was okay even if the baddie wanted to fatten her up before eating her. She could ask uncle Zhu Yuan to help chase away the baddie when he wakes up!

So, to Bian Bian who had already had a taste of the apple yesterday, the allure of this new apple wasn’t small at all.

That made Bian Bian feel that the instant noodles in her hands feel even less yummy.

And so, Xiu Jin saw the system give out a notification that made one happy: [Intimacy point +5]

Xiu Jin was stunned. He stared at this notification in a daze for one whole minute. That truly was a +5 that moved the world!
