Chapter 23 - Shadow Tower

I carefully looked at the photo, then looked at Ji Yayun, and took out a notebook and pen from my bag.

Ji Yayun understood what I mean, and quickly wrote the words' I am willing 'on the book.

I tore off the sheet of paper on which I had written, and in turn compared it with the words in the picture, the handwriting was ninety percent similar.

Those three words were written by Ji Yayun.

I asked her why she wrote those three words, but she couldn't answer. She was trembling with fear.

I looked at the picture again. Other than Ji Yayun and the three words, the rest of the picture was as hazy as if it was enveloped in a thick twilight.

I suddenly had a strange feeling that this kind of futility was unnecessary, that the twilight in the photo seemed to be covering something.

I looked around and found a small and exquisite Swiss Army Blade. I said to Ji Yayun in a low voice: "Help me block it a little. I'll open the lock, let's go in and take a look."

Ji Yayun acknowledged it, but then reached into her bag and gave me a key.

"I have a key to Shadow Tower."

I'm speechless...

The reception hall on the first floor of Shadow Tower was of the same hard American style. There was a wooden counter, a simple leather sofa, and a clean yet quiet atmosphere.

I looked around, and when I inadvertently turned around, I was startled.

There was someone behind the door!

Upon closer inspection, he couldn't help but laugh.

It was an enormous, enlarged photograph of a man about the size of a real man, and at first glance he thought there were two men hiding behind the door.

Seeing the person in the photo, I couldn't help but be startled, and turned to look at Ji Yayun.

Surprisingly, it was a photo of a man in his thirties or forties. He was tall and handsome, with an imposing aura.

The woman was wearing a wedding dress, her face revealing a look of happiness, it was Ji Yayun.

"You even keep your wedding photos in the shop?" I'm a little curious.

Ji Yayun rolled her eyes at me, "Who would actually put a real wedding photo in the shop as a decoration?"

"Hoh, that's true." I immediately remembered that her job was to be a model.

"I'm not married." Ji Yayun added, as if he was dissatisfied with my sudden action.

I shrugged. "This male model is quite handsome. You two are quite compatible."

Ji Yayun chuckled: "Don't spout nonsense, this is Xiao Hong's husband."

Ling Hong's husband?

I didn't say anything, but I was muttering to myself.

The photos were fixed to the wall and had been there for a long time.

Ling Hong was the owner of Shadow Tower, and the female owner of the wedding photo was her best friend and the male owner was her husband …

Even if it was for the advertising effect, wasn't this woman too generous?

I pointed to the desktop computer on the counter. "Are the pictures you took last time in Liantang Town in there?"

Ji Yayun shook her head: "I don't think so. Most of my photos were taken by Xiao Hong herself.

"Where should the original picture be?" I asked.

"Not long after the last photo shoot, something happened to me. I didn't see it either. If it came out, it should be …"

Ji Yayun walked to the side of a cabinet and took out a photo album.

I went over to the drawer and saw that it was full of albums. I picked one up and flipped through it.

"Damn, this drawer is full of your photos?"

Ji Yayun flipped through the photo album while nodding her head: "En, it's all because of Xiao Hong. I have one too."

Saying that, he closed the photo album, "No."

"Where is the darkroom where the photos were taken?" I asked.

"On the third floor."

"Let's go to the darkroom."

Ji Yayun said: "I don't have the key to the secret room."

I said, "Let's go up and take a look."

When I reach the second floor, I subconsciously frown.

The second floor, like most movie studios, was an indoor studio. But why did the scenery seem so uncomfortable?

I walked over to a set.

It was an interior living room of a European aristocratic mansion, with scarlet carpets running from the set to the ground.

At his feet was a retro European sofa.

Standing in front of the huge scenery, it was as if he was actually in the living room of a noble.

But this scenery, why was it … Does it feel strange?

I didn't know how to feel about this, so I decided not to think about it anymore and asked Ji Yayun to head straight up to the third floor.

Two steps up, I couldn't help but look back at the set.

Ji Yayun also turned around, "What happened?"

"Nothing." I shook my head.

"Clang!"

A sudden muffled sound scared me so much that I shivered.

Ji Yayun let out an "Ah" sound of surprise as she instinctively threw herself into my embrace.

The sound came from upstairs. There was someone on the third floor!

I grabbed one of the metal pieces around the corner and asked loudly, "Is there anyone here?" "Who's up there?"

No one answered.

"Does anyone live on the third floor?" I whispered to Ji Yayun.

"There's a lounge on the third floor, but the door is locked from the outside."

When I felt a warm aura brush against my face and looked down, I realized that Ji Yayun's entire person was in my embrace. The distance between the two of them had already reached the point where they could hear each other's breathing.

"Could it be that the window was left open and the wind blew in?" Ji Yayun whispered again. Only then did she realize that the distance between them had already reached an ambiguous stage. She immediately let go of the hand that was hugging my waist and took half a step back.

"Let's go up and take a look." I pulled her behind me, one hand on her hand, the other on the heavy display.

The third floor looked like an ordinary two-bedroom. Other than a small living room, there were only two rooms.

The door to one of the rooms was open. It was a small lounge.

There was a black cloth hanging outside the other room, and there was a sign on the wall saying "No one is allowed to enter." It should be the darkroom.

All the windows were closed.

Thinking about that muffled sound, Ji Yayun and I looked at each other. There's someone in the secret room!

I shouted twice, but no one answered.

Opening the curtain of the darkroom, there was a passage less than half a meter wide, and then a door with a bunch of keys on it.

I knocked on the door, but there was no response.

I reached out to touch the key, and suddenly my vision went dark, and I sank into darkness where I couldn't even see my own fingers.

"You cannot see the light of a film." Ji Yayun whispered by my side.

F * ck, she was still thinking about protecting the film even now …

Fortunately, I had already found the key. With a slight turn of my hand, the door opened, revealing a dark red light through the crack in the door.

"Is there anyone inside?"

I asked again, but when I saw no response, I pushed the door open.

There was no one inside except for a patch of dark red like blood.

Relieved, I figured I'd left the key on the door. I was scared of myself.

I didn't want to think about what had just happened, so I walked into the dark room and looked at the photo on the rope. Suddenly, there was a dull thud from behind me.

Then, there was the sound of a "Bada", followed by the sound of "Hua La" pulling out the key.

I reacted and tried to open the door, but it was locked.

"Who's outside?" I asked loudly.

"Who is it? Is it Little Red? I am Ya Yun! " Ji Yayun's voice trembled.

I pulled at her hand. "Don't be afraid, someone must be up to no good. That sound was the sound of the door closing. "

When the door was locked, I was less nervous. It must have been artificial. I just don't know where he was hiding or why he locked us in.

I let go of Ji Yayun's hand and looked at the photo again.

The series of photos was of an unfamiliar couple in a wedding dress.

I picked up a light card and looked at the negatives one by one at the red light.

After looking at a few of them, he felt that the atmosphere wasn't quite right.

Turning his head, he saw Ji Yayun standing next to me. Her expression was extremely unsettled and her breathing was erratic.

I knew exactly why she was like this, even though it was just a negative, and they could both see what it was about. It was just that their postures were different.

"Your classmate, the Shadow Tower, is actually taking on this sort of job?" I set the card aside and reached for the other one.

Inadvertently, I saw a drawer open a slit, there seems to be a photo inside.

I opened the drawer. As expected, it was a stack of washed photos, and it was the one Ji Yayun had taken at Liantang Town.

The two of them flipped through the pages one by one, and when they found one of them, they were stunned.

This photo was not taken in Liantang Town, but in a bedroom.

There was a man and a woman doing it naked.

Having seen the couple clearly, I tossed a stack of photographs onto the table.

"What the f * ck …" Just pretend I didn't see anything! "

I recognized the woman immediately. It was Ji Yayun who was beside me right now.

The man looked familiar to me at first, but when I thought about it, the man in the wedding photo on the first floor, Ling Hong's husband!

Ji Yayun was dumbstruck at first, with a look of disbelief, she suddenly shook her head at me, "It's not me, it's not me!"

If it wasn't you, how could it be a ghost?

Ghost!

I jolted, then looked at Ji Yayun. Tears welled up in my eyes, which contained only grievance and fear, not the least bit of shame that my emotions had been broken.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

She suddenly screamed.

In the small, closed room, the screams were especially shrill.

"What's your name?" I covered my ears and frowned.

She pointed at the table and cried, "Look, look!"

Following the direction of her finger, I was stunned.

I tossed the picture on the table and spread it out. She was referring to one of the photos.

The picture was identical to the one in the downstairs window, but it hadn't been faked.

In the photo, Ji Yayun still had that pure and brilliant smile.

However, right behind her was a woman with her hair tied up in a bun and wearing a cheongsam dress!

The woman's appearance was exactly the same as hers, but there was a sinister and venomous smile hanging on her lips.

This smile quickly overlapped with another sly smile in my mind. This woman, she was the corpse of the woman that was found in the sarcophagus!

"Xu Huo, how did this happen? I was the only one in the water! " Ji Yayun hugged onto one of my arms, obviously broken down.

"Dong, dong, dong!"

There was an urgent knock on the door.

Ji Yayun was so scared that she threw herself into my arms, buried her face in my chest and trembled like a sieve.

I tried to push her away, but she wouldn't let go.

I had to walk around her and grab a brown paper bag. I hurriedly stuffed the photo and several photographic cards with negatives on them.

Just as he finished doing all this, the door opened with a "bang" …
