Chapter 112 - Southern Tundra.

"Where is this?"

Guo Luo curiously inspected the snowy landscape around them, taking in the sight. After not seeing any towns or signs of human settlements nearby, she couldn't help but ask Yao Jun.

"I don't know. I expected the Spatial Array to lead us directly to the Yao clan, but it seems like that Yao Luying used that jade token he gave us to tamper with the Spatial Array."

Yao Jun shook his head as he answered. It was clear that they were not in the Yao clan headquarter right now, the only explanation that he felt made sense was that the heat that the jade token released as the Spatial Array activated had tampered with it.

Yao Jun bent down and picked up the two jade slips with his right arm, sinking his mind into one of them to read it's contents. The first jade slip contained a map of the entire Grand Quan continent, as well as information about the varying forces located on the continent.

Their current location, Golden Moon Town, as well as several important or dangerous places were clearly marked on the map, it even included a short description about each of these locations.

Seeing this map, Yao Jun was rather surprised. A map like this would not be easy to acquire, so it was likely placed here by Yao Luying. The second jade slip contained a message for Yao Jun. Once he sank his mind into the jade slip, the familiar voice of Yao Luying rang out in his mind.

"Since you are hearing this recording, it means that you have returned to the Grand Quan continent using the Spatial Array of the Guan clan. Congratulations on coming home Little Jun, I have already delivered your message to your parents. Because of your connection to the Demon Race, it is impossible for me to let you return to the headquarter of the Yao clan."

"The leaders of the different branches should not know about your involvement with the Demon Race, but the people at the headquarter do. If you were to return here, they would probably try to capture you and use you as a bargaining chip. To prevent this, I tampered with the Guan clan Spatial Array, making it send you to this location if you were to carry the jade token I gave you."

"The map I have provided shows the best path for you to return to Golden Moon, as well as let you know which places is best for you to avoid. You can bring away the jade plate inscribed with the array, if you ever manage to build another jade plate that has the same array, you can use one jade plate to travel to the other."

"Lastly, you must never come to the headquarter of the Yao clan. Even with my status, protecting you will be impossible. If possible, try to avoid the largest branches as well. Also, avoid the other three clans as well, they will also know about your involvement with the Demon Race,"

Yao Luying's voice rang out inside Yao Jun's mind, quickly speaking several sentences. Hearing the words, Yao Jun couldn't help but be confused. Involvement with the Demon Race? But he had never worked with the Demon Race.

After thinking about it for a bit, he came to the conclusion that it was because of his meeting with Wan Yi in Xieren City. If the Yao clan was strong enough to force the Guan clan to be humble, they would obviously be strong enough to place spies on the Guanyu continent.

"This place is called the Southern Tundra, it is a long distance away from Golden Moon Town, our goal for this trip."

While speaking, Yao Jun pointed towards the north. The map had contained information about the entire continent, so it obviously also talked about where they were now. This Southern Tundra was the southernmost part of the Grand Quan continent.

Using the map, Yao Jun had also learned that the Grand Quan continent was actually divided between five forces. The northern part of the continent belonged to the Wei clan, the Eastern part to the Peng clan, the western part to the Zhuang clan, and the southern part to the Yao clan.

The center part of the continent was a massive wilderness, the Cloud Wilderness. This wilderness was the headquarter of the Demon Race on the Grand Quan continent. Thanks to it's natural defenses, the Demon Race managed to not only resist the four clans, but also retaliate.

"A long distance? How long will it take us to reach it?"

While Guo Luo was asking him, Yao Jun stored away the jade plate as well as the two jade slips. If he could make Wan Yi and the others copy the array on the jade plate, they could create a Spatial Array between the Grand Quan continent and the Guanyu continent. They would need a lot of Spirit Stones to fuel it, but it would make traveling between the two places much easier.

"If we were to fly on Little Gray's back at full speed without rest, it should take us about half a year to reach it. But there is no need to rush. Yao Luying delivered my message, so they already know that I am alive."

Knowing that his message had been delivered, Yao Jun immediately felt much more at ease. His face lit up with a smile as he grabbed Guo Luo's hand and brought out Little Gray. The two of them hopped onto his back and Little Gray took off, heading towards the north.

Yao Jun and Guo Luo both sat down on the back of Little Gray, leaning against each other as they sat there in silence and looked at the surroundings. Snow was slowly falling from the sky, adding onto the white expanse around them. The wind was cold, but they didn't mind, they just sat there and enjoyed the warmth that the other was giving them.

Since Yao Jun knew that his parents had received his message, he was in no rush to return home just yet. Ever since he and Guo Luo started traveling together, they had rushed everywhere, always getting into fights. They had only gotten to rest a rare few times. Even when they were traveling from place to place, most of the time was spent in silent cultivation.

Now that they had the chance to relax and unwind, he wanted to let Guo Luo rest and enjoy herself. Because of this, Yao Jun planned to stop at several towns and cities, slowly wandering through them with Guo Luo. He still had a lot of money in his interspatial ring, as he had only given Wan Yi most of his money.
