Chapter 203 - You Kidnap My Wife!!

Baron was looking out of the window when he noticed how the skies suddenly turned pitch black and were covered with huge dark nimbus clouds despite the weather report earlier claiming it would be a good day.

The young god frowned a little. "Someone must be really upset, right now."

As far as Baron knew, it was difficult to hold back one's powers when a god was currently in the throes of deep emotional turmoil. He hoped that it wasn't connected to Alex bringing in the woman to his penthouse, but he was probably wrong.

"I made a good decision not to interfere," Baron muttered underneath his breath.

Baron already had a very good idea as to what was happening and he did not want to be in any part of it.

In the heart of New York, Loriel rushed to the address that Hilde gave him and found himself at the part of the city where he once 'visited' Tessa and Julian's hotel to give them a piece of his mind.

The wind blew really strongly all across New York that it was as if there was a sudden hurricane that came out of nowhere. Loriel could already see that the majority of the pedestrians were already leaving and hurrying to get to someplace safe for shelter.

Others currently in the flow of traffic suddenly started to speed up, afraid that the winds would scatter the vehicles without even batting an eye.

It was a freak storm and calamity.

Across the entire city, even though it was sudden, the newscasters and anchors were quick to pick up on the change and urged the inhabitants of New York to remain indoors and if they were currently outside, to find a place for them to stay in.

"This sudden freak storm is unexpected and the experts are still trying to analyze what is going on," The news reporter said to describe the sudden change in the atmospheric conditions.

Such things were uncontrollable natural forces. A forced evacuation was made.

If Loriel held back before using the full extent of his powers in order to remain in hiding from the gods, now wasn't the time at all.  Loriel couldn't risk slowing down or holding back when Elise was in danger.

Now Loriel allowed the full extent of his entire immortal energy to spread out and find out where Elise and the so-called gods were residing in New York.

As he moved closer to the destination, Loriel felt the presence of not only one god, but three of them.

One was Hilde, he recognized the woman's presence in the very address that she gave him and it infuriated Loriel that she would take advantage of his crisis as a chance to meet up with him again.

But compared to that, perhaps there was still some good in her giving the address.

Only a couple blocks away, it was so close, another penthouse held the presence of two gods and Loriel enhanced his vision to scour up the great magnitude of distance… he saw Elise.

His dear wife was currently at the highest part of the penthouse, speaking with a man, which he assumed was another god.

No, Loriel didn't believe it was as simple as she was just talking with him. In a blink of an eye, the entire wind around Loriel propelled him forward, several hundred meters into the air and right into the face of this young god.

"I need some air…" Elise muttered when she stepped out into the balcony, right at the same time, Loriel arrived.

Loriel grabbed Alexei's collar without any hesitation and threw the god down across the now-empty streets of New York. Loriel quickly threw a look at Elise and saw the shocked look on her face.

"Elise, I…"

A sudden lightning bolt took Loriel down into the ground as well. A portion of the street was blown to bits and also now held a large crater from where Loriel and Alexei both fell in.

Except that Alexei was the first one to stand up and as he looked at Loriel, suddenly felt the urge to laugh.

The young god couldn't believe it.

One moment, Alexei was just talking to Elise and having a heartfelt conversation with her when suddenly this guy just threw him into the street. Alexei returned the favor by summoning lightning. However, Loriel proved to be much sturdier than others.

Alexei thought it was strange at first but then it was starting to make all sense. When Alexei looked at the strong winds blowing wildly around them and the appearance of this man, Alexei realized who this guy was.

"I was just minding my own business but then you suddenly came in?" Alexei laughed and then glared at Loriel. "What perfect timing. You're going down, bastard."

Despite the lightning stunning him, Loriel was back on his feet and blocked the punch from the young god as his arm went numb. This person who stole Elise was actually pretty strong and yet Loriel was not a weakling.

"Minding your own business?" Loriel didn't even know who this guy was except for the fact that he interfered with his peaceful life. "You kidnapped my wife, Bastard!!"

Loriel threw back another punch in response.

Alexei's face felt the strength in the blow, that he even flew back across the streets for a moment. Alexei didn't realize that there was someone who could match a god of war in terms of physical strength.

Even if Alexei was retired, it didn't mean that he was weak.

Right before Loriel could throw another punch at Alexei, another flurry of lightning came down at him.

All across New York, the start of the storm heavily poured down as chains of lightning fell down from the heavens. Two men struggled and fought against one another, trading blows that shook the entire street around them.

Elise looked down at the madness happening below her as the two people she knew were now fighting. Elise struggled to come to terms with it at first. But after a moment's hesitation, she rushed all the way down.

Baron, who was about to actually check on Elise, was stunned as the woman rushed past him without another word.

When Elise reached the streets of New York, it was already paved in destruction.
