“Seriously, what a bother…”

Since I got fed up with it, I decided to take her attack head-on instead of dodging to end it quickly as she wanted.

However, there was no way I was just going to take it, and the moment Faruru’s attack hit me, my body flashed white. I moved without feeling any impact or damage from the attack, and then I dived into Faruru’s bosom and hit her stomach with my [Palm Heel Strike] skill. As the scales around the area the strike hit fell off, Faruru was blown away by several meters.

“Kyaaaaaah! … Why? I’m sure I hit you!”

Faruru, not grasping what happened in the sequence of events just now, again asked me, her enemy (or so she thought), what I did.

If I really were an enemy, I would have beaten her without explanation, but in reality, I wasn’t, and explaining my techniques to someone I am fighting is, in a sense, one of the situations men dreamed about.

I am excited though it was a hassle for me. However, since I was already on board, I taught her as kindly as I explained the Dissolution magic.

“Why? Because what I just did is known as [Last Minute Guard]. It’s a technique that allows one to remove the hardening time if you guard the moment your opponent’s attack hits you. Oh, and it has eight delay frames. If the opponent were an assassin-type, it would be difficult to guard against their attacks due to their speed and dexterity. But since Faruru’s attacks are so slow enough to stop a fly, it was easy for me to guard just before an attack even if I had not seen it before. You get that, Watson-kun?”

[EDN: I think 8 frames are about 0.1 seconds?]

Why is it so much fun to explain your favourite games?

“Ag…”

“Ag?”

“You cheated again! I’ll never forgive you! I will make you regret saying my attack was so slow that even a fly could stop it!”

Then, after I had explained the situation to her, Faruru, for some reason, in a fit of rage, tried to cut me open again with her big claws, saying that I was cheating again. So I guarded against her again just before her attack hit and kicked her in the jaw.

“Ogyaa!”

“As I told you, it’s not cheating…”

Even though I had shown her the difference between magic and physical skills, Faruru continued to attack me for another hour. Given she reached this point, she must have realized that it was not cheating but a pure difference in strength because she got down on her knees and started crying.
