Chapter 413 - How Asian Party

After the baptism, everyone who attended was invited to the venue where a feast was waiting for them to enjoy. Since the church was inside the subdivisions, everyone present was from the community. Therefore, Tanaga and Ashley does not have to worry about outsiders joining their festivities.

This was the type of party where there was plenty of food that kept coming and coming, and they'd never be short of any food no matter how much people attended it.

They had an all you can eat buffet-style feast, where everyone could choose what they wanted to eat. It was also made that way so the hosts wouldn't have to worry about what the guests would eat. The added addition of an open bar for those who wanted to drink themselves, possibly into oblivion, and all kinds of wine were available there.

Everyone was having their best times, and nothing but good comments could be heard from the satisfied guests.

"Is this really how Asians party?" A woman asked her neighbor right beside her on the left.

The woman on the left beside her, an Asian as well, smiled proudly before replying.

"This is how Asians throw a party, most especially from our country, the Philippines. We don't joke about the parties we host," she bragged, almost successfully tricking the other woman she was the person who had arranged the party in the first place.

The other Americans living in the subdivision were amazed, appalled at how grand the party was, from the variety of drinks to the plethora of dishes, it was the farthest thing from a joke. Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click #'s-contracted-wife-%5Benglish%5D_13713194705932805/how-asian-party_51022944545067154 for visiting.

The saying 'sky's the limit' would be the perfect way to describe the party the Jones' had planned.

Every guest enjoyed the party; they never wanted it to end and weren't too keen on returning home.

Yet, a few young people attended the party, so by the time night came, they'd be on their way home by then. Only a few a.d.u.l.ts that were of age, of course, we're able to continue drinking and having the time of their lives at the party.

By then, it was nighttime, and Mrs. Garcia was exhausted from the long trip, that being why Fely decided to invite her to rest at their house.

It was an offer she couldn't refuse because she wanted to ingratiate herself with Ashley's mother and get to know her better.

A few moments later, Fely left with Mrs. Garcia, grandmother Hanada, Harumi, Tiny, Inday, Juanita, and the twins were on their way home.

The couple Ashley and Tanaga decided not to stay long either, deciding to leave with Jeff, who had already said his goodbyes since he was exhausted after the party.

"Brother Arman, Arthur, and Ariel; Brother Arnel and Arnold will take care of you, but we'll take our leave since Tanaga needs to do something," Ashley said to her older brothers while Tanaga was chatting to Jeff to pass the time, waiting for her at the exit.

Arman had planned to go with them, but their brothers stopped him before he could.

"Where do you think you're going? You owe us, so you're going to have to pay it back one way or another," Arthur said, his hand placed on Arman's shoulder.

Arman could do nothing else but stop and continue drinking.

He thought he'd stop, although he also knew he had a lot of time to be around his parents and siblings.

"Okay! Let's start; let's have more," he said as he sat back down, trying to relax.

The couple accompanied Jeff to his car before they left to return home.

Since their house wasn't too far away from the clubhouse, the couple walked, followed behind by their two bodyguards.

They hadn't gotten too far when Ashley's phone rang.

She looked at who the caller was, surprised that it was Ann. She quickly answered her phone, wondering what Ann had to say.

"Ashley, I'm so sorry! How I wished I was able to attend the party," Ann apologized as her sadness was evident on the other line.

"It's nothing, Ann, don't you worry. I wished you were here since I would've liked to introduce you to someone I think you're suitable with. I just thought you'd look amazing together as a couple," Ashley said jokingly, her lips curved up into a beautiful smile.

"Really? Now when did you become a matchmaker? Is the guy handsome?" Ann asked jokingly.

Since the call was on speaker, Tanaga had heard what Ann had said since he was eavesdropping. He joined their conversation abruptly.

"Miss Wen, if you think I'm handsome, then I'm slightly more handsome even if I do think he's handsome as well," Tanaga said halfway, the remark being half between a joke and a brag.

Still, in a playful mood, Tanaga winked at his wife before stealing a quick kiss.

Ashley pouted.

"What are you bragging about? You're just arrogant," she said snarkily.

Tanaga hugged his wife, pulling her closer.

"What do you mean, arrogant? I'm just telling the truth, aren't I, Miss. Wen?" He asked Ann, who was listening to the couple's playful banter.

Ann laughed softly.

"No comment from me. Anyway, aside from that, I called you to let you know that we're on the way, and if it's okay with the both of you, could I spend new years with you all?" Ann asked shyly, holding her breath as she awaited an answer.

"Oh, my God! That's amazing news, of course, you can, when will you be arriving?" Ashley asked excitedly, already planning on introducing Ann to Jeff.

If Ann hopefully arrived before Jeff left, the two would have a chance to meet.

Ann answered, "We'll be there by tomorrow, and we'll be staying at this hotel," she said before she gave more elaborate details about where she'd be staying.

"Okay, let's make plans to have dinner together later on. We can continue the party at our house, so it looks like it's a date then," Ashley said happily, her eyes wide with happiness as she knew that Jeff stayed at that very same hotel. To her, it was fate, but she decided to wait another day or two before asking Tanaga to introduce Jeff to Ann.

"Alright! It looks like we'll be seeing you tomorrow," Ann said excitedly before saying her goodbyes and hanging up.

She heard the intercom calling passengers of their plane, taking it as her cue to get off the plane.

Once the call ended, Ashley turned to her husband.

"Tan, would you please ask Jeff to stay for one more day? I want the two of them to meet. I truly believe they're a perfect match for each other," Ashley pleaded, staring at her husband's eyes with those irresistible eyes of hers that Tanaga couldn't resist.

"And what's my prize if I do what you asked?" Tanaga asked curiously as he caressed his wife's cheek.

Ashley thought about it before she whispered her answer, so the two bodyguards wouldn't be able to hear it.

"I'll give you whatever it is you want," she said seductively as she kissed the underside of her husband's ear.

Yet, they had no idea that the two people they were desperately trying to match-make had already previously met and weren't on the best terms.
