Chapter 225 - The Best Christmas Ever!

As soon as Sato and Tiny entered the store, they immediately went to where the couple were. Tiny stood at the side while surveying the surroundings, while Sato went straight to Ashley and stood beside her, looking all professional.

The two were surprised when Tanaga turned around to face them and wave his finger to show off his ring.

"So, what do you guys think? Does it look good?" Tanaga asked while opening his palm for the two to see the ring cl.u.s.tered with the surrounding shining diamonds.

Sato's jaw dropped, taking him into a state of oblivion. He seemed unable to let out a word, while Tiny only smiled. He knew that his boss was only acting. Tanaga wasn't the type of person to boast; especially not the type to ask if something suits him or not. Tiny figured it was only for show and decided to play along.

"CEO Jones, if you are asking me…. I think it's all right, but..." Tiny intentionally left his words hanging.

When Sato heard this, he realized his boss' intentions. Tanaga wanted to give the manager a hard time and make him sweat. One thing he hated the most was the idea of being used to someone's advantage. He didn't care about the money – since he had plenty to last him a lifetime – but that didn't mean he would let someone take advantage of him. Definitely not in this lifetime.

"I tell you what... the ring is beautiful on my wife's hand. I like the design... but if you can't be honest about this deal, we can forget about this whole thing. Right, honey?" Tanaga proposed, while lovingly looking at his wife.

Ashley, who was listening to him, nodded in agreement. She then quickly removed the ring from her finger and handed it over to the Manager. "Why don't the two of you talk to each other? In the meantime, I'm going to look around the store." She quickly turned around and left, as if she weren't interested in buying the ring.

Tanaga was a good businessman. Ashley, on the other hand, was good with bargaining. She had learned it since young from her mother. Mother Fely would always bring her to purchase goods for their mini grocery from the market.

Learning from her mother how to bargain and do business at a young age was natural, after all, 'buy low, sell high' was the family motto. However, they mostly sold as cheap as they could to help the community.

Ashley slowly sauntered and browsed the variety of jewelry on display, while Tanaga was having a serious conversation with the Manager.

Meanwhile, Sato and Tiny just stood and watched how their boss made a deal.

Without even ten minutes passing, the Manager and Tanaga had closed the deal at the right price. Ashley was shocked when someone embraced her from the back. "Did you see anything to your liking? If so, tell me so that we can have it bundled with the one getting delivered at home."

Ashley turned around while she was still in his embrace, and Tanaga wasted no time to steal a kiss from his wife. "Nothing, all of them are pretty. But I know their price is also pretty high, even if you don't tell me," Ashley happily replied at her husband, feeling comfortable in his warm embrace.

"Really? Let's go then! I'm starving, oh, wait… let me see your hand again." Tanaga grabbed Ashley's hand while she was still in his arms. He then fitted the ring into her finger, raised it, and kissed the finger with the ring.

"I give you this ring as a symbol that my love for you will go on even when the world ends. This is the proof that you – and only you – have the ownership of my heart. Only you have the right to call yourself 'Mrs. Tanaga Hanada Jones!'" Her husband spoke sweetly while his eyes sparkled because of the joy he felt.

Ashley didn't know what to say nor what to do. "Tan! What is this? Oh my god! Is this real? You still bought it? I... I'm not sure if I could wear something so attention-grabbing. But even still, thank you!" Ashley turned around while still being embraced by Tanaga. She tiptoed and kissed him deeply on the lips.

She didn't get embarrassed when displaying her emotions in public anymore, and she especially didn't care about what others might have thought. What was important to her was to get her feelings across, as she loved her husband so much.

Ashley didn't know what to do with the wedding ring because of her overflowing joy, yet it was such a shame that she could not wear it in front of Tanaga's employees.

But if they were in public normally, she could display her love for him as much as she wanted, which she planned on doing – flaunt it to the whole world and show that he belongs to her, and she belongs to him; no one else.

"Ahem! Ahem!" Sato coughed while grinning. "Sir Jones, if you are ready, let's go so we can eat. Hehe! I'm starving to death, you know," Sato jokingly uttered to his two bosses who were entrapped in a state of sweetness.

Ashley's cheeks reddened once she realized what Sato said and averted her gaze to avoid eye contact. But she then saw him give her a wink, so she smiled secretly and pulled her husband out of the store. "Let's go, so we can eat already. I'm starving too!" exclaimed Ashley, while exiting the door.

When the manager and the salesperson saw them leaving, the duo rushed to the door. As the guards opened the door, the two of them bowed and simultaneously declared, "Thank you very much, ma'am, sir! You have made our Christmas the best!" That was the last message from the Manage before the couple left the store.

Tanaga nodded in acknowledgment, while Ashley smiled back and thanked them again. "Thank you! Because for me, this is the best Christmas gift ever." She hugged her husband and leaned on his chest as they walked out of the store.
