Chapter 218 - Learning The Business

Celia couldn't believe what she was hearing. Finally, someone from above came that's interested in what she has to say.

She thought that someone would pay attention to what she does for the company ang paid her the proper wages and position.

"Let me tell you how it is ..." Celia told her how she started in her job of becoming a purchasing agent for the company. As well as the procedure for what she does daily, Ashley was more impressed by the minute.

When Celia finishes her story, Ashley adores her, and it shows in her eyes. Tanaga, who was just listening to the conversation, was impressed with his wife.

So he wasn't surprised when Ashley request to shadow Celia while they were there so she could learn what a purchasing agent of the company was doing.

"Sir Jones, if you don't mind. I'd like to shadow Celia for a couple of days. Can I?"

Tanaga just smiled as an answer to his wife. Ashley didn't need to hear it coming from his mouth anymore. She knew Tanaga was willing to accept her request.

Celia was dumbstruck to hear that Ashley wanted to shadow her and learn how the purchasing department works. By then, she already concluded that she's his extraordinary woman, Not just any woman in her boss's life, but a special one.

The two acted with each other, showing that their relationship is not just an employer and employee. From the way Tanaga was looking at Ashley, Celia thought that for sure, Ashley is Tanaga's mistress.

Nevertheless, it didn't lessen her respect for the woman. Celia could sense that the woman is brilliant and very kindhearted.

She would be happy to work for her now and in the future. She has felt that this woman would be someone to be reckoned with within the company in the future.

"All right, ma'am Ashley, let me know whenever you're ready. I would be more than happy to show you everything." Celia proudly replied with a smile on her lips. Unlike when she first came in, her face was blank void of any emotion.

Shortly after that, Ashley's interview ended. They set up the days that she would be shadowing Celia while she was working.

Once all was settled, the two shook hands before Celia said her goodbye's leaving the President's office with a bright and cheerful face.

When Hanawa saw Celia's cheerful face while smiling widely, she worried and wondered what happened inside the President's office that she left with a massive grin on her face.

She needs to inform President Takashi immediately, or it might be too late, and they could get sent back to Japan.

Meanwhile, while Tanaga was busy doing interviews. President Takashi was also busily checking that there was nothing wrong said about him.

While Tanaga was using his office, he was in the accounting department as his temporary office. He needed to make sure that there was no visible anomaly in case they were audited.

What he did not know was that it's the accounting manager that had reported it to Tanaga. It did not pass to COO Koji Hanada and President Hanada because the anomaly was due to President Hanada's order.

When it was proposed to the board to open a subsidiary in Houston, Texas, Tanaga only gave the approval and let COO Koji Handa and President Hanada handle the rest.

Therefore, when it was finally set and had a grand opening, only President Hanada and COO Koji Hanada attended.

Unknown to COO Koji Hanada that his father had made a deal with President Takashi. They were in cahoots with embezzling the funds from the newly opened division of THJ Group.

Little did they know that the two superintendents and the accounting manager were Tanaga's staff.

Everything they do is recorded, and Tanaga knows. So whenever the accounting manager submitted the end of the year report, he sent two sets.

The end of the year stated that the company had no income. And the report stated that the company's net profit has increased by at least 50% since the opening.

This is why Tanaga was forced to go and see how President Takashi was conducting business with his own two eyes.

Once the interview of all the employees ended, Tanaga summoned President Takashi, who had arrived quickly.

One could tell his nervousness, his face was as red as an apple, his forehead showing beads of sweat, while the airconditioned was blasting cold air.

"You call for me, CEO Jones?" President Takashi asked as his voice was almost unheard of.

Tanaga didn't reply immediately; he was busy looking over some doc.u.ments while Ashley was standing right beside him waiting. Therefore, President Takashi has no choice but to stand still and waiting to be acknowledged.

After what it seems to be an eternity, Tanaga spoke coldly without raising his head from the doc.u.ment that he was reading.

"Yes, since we're going to be here for a while, I'm going to be doing thorough auditing of the company's asset while I'm here. I want you to take a week's vacation while I'm here and inform you when I'm done.

If... and I say if I still want you to come back." Said Tanaga straight to the point.

President Takashi began hyperventilating when he heard that Tanaga would audit the company's asses.

"If that's what you want, of course, I comply." President Takashi said at the same time bowing to the younger man who's the CEO of the Company.

"All right! Get your essentials, and I'll use your office while I'm here. You don't even need to let your staff know you're on vacation. I'll take care of them while you're away." Tanaga said as he sat up and stared at President Takashi coldly.

There was nothing President Takashi could do but began picking up all his personal belongings.

Once he thought he had gathered all, he bid them goodbyes and left with his head down.

When President Takashi came out of his office looking all dejected and didn't even bother saying goodbye to his secretary, Hanawa began to worry. She wondered if President Takashi was discharged? If that was the case... - What about her?

"Oh' no! Please, I don't want to go back to Japan. I really like my life here, and my family had just arrived and settled down. What should I do?" She muttered to herself while feeling agitated.

In the long run, she decided to just do her job as the secretary should do. She decided to leave it at the hand of God, whatever might her fate be... - she will accept wholeheartedly.

Hanawa knew lots of anomalies happening within the company, but she's only a secretary. She was only doing her job as per her boss told her to do.

The only thing she didn't do correctly was to report what she knew. She didn't feel it right for her to be the snitch, but now... - she's having a second thought.

Hanawa made up her mind that she would tell the CEO everything she knows if she was asked. All she needs to do now is sit and wait until they call for her, then she will tell all to save her job.
