Chapter 213 - Candle Light Dinner

Once the couple arrived in the kitchen, Tanaga slowly put Ashley down to check where they put the food he asked to be prepared. When he didn't see any food on the top kitchen counter and the stove, he frowned.

He figured they must have put in the fridge. He was not wrong; when he opened it, it was full of varieties of freshly made delicacies.

The chef had overdone himself and prepared a lot of food for the couple. But since he does not know when they would eat, he determined that it would be better to put everything in the fridge to avoid spoiling it.

One by one, Tanaga takes out all the food that was inside the refrigerator. Meanwhile, Ashley takes a lot of plates and begins scooping a small serving of each of the dishes and puts them inside the microwave to heat it.

Each time she finished one dish, Tanaga would bring it to the dining room and set it on the table. It took them a little more than 30 minutes to finish heating and to set the food on the table.

They look so enjoyable to watch as they work together in the kitchen. They worked in unison and harmony as they prepare their meals. If someone could only see them now, who would say that their relationship started in contract...

By the time they finished setting up food for them to eat, Tanaga was exhausted from going back and forth. He decided to sit down and wait for his wife to bring the last one. Its a soup she's heating up on the stove.

While Tanaga was waiting for Ashley, he couldn't help but marvel at what he had done. The table set up was lovely, and he was very proud of his accomplishment. However, something was missing...

"Right! I know what we needed." He quickly stood up and looked for a match to light the candle that was on display at the table. He then took it and placed it in the center before turning off the light.

Ashley's round eyes widened when she came with a tray containing two bowls of soup. "Wow! Candlelight dinner. Aren't we special!" She banters while smiling as she approaches her husband.

When Tanaga saw that Ashley was carrying a tray, he quickly met her and took the tray. "Let me have that! You never know you might get burnt if you're not careful." Said Tanaga as he once again stole a kiss. However, this time it was only a quick peck on her cheek.

Ashley, in turn, retaliated for what her husband did. She once again smacked him in the arm, which causes the tray to shake, and he almost spilled the hot soup. Because of what she did, the broth spills a little and splashed Tanaga in his hands.

"Ouch! Sweetheart, you should not do that!" Tanaga exclaims before he quickly lowered the tray to the table and looked to see if she got splattered with the bowl of hot soup.

"Let me see, are you all right? Where did it hit you?" Asked Tanaga filled with anguish.

Ashley interrupted Tanaga while his going crazy, trying to see if she was hurt.

"Sweetheart! I am fine; stop it. Why don't we go ahead and eat." Pleaded Ashley for she's famished.

" Don't ever do that again. I told you, your hand is mighty, and I was not joking." Tanaga warned her seriously.

Concerned Ashley, quickly turned on the light so she could see if he was telling the truth. "Let me see your arm?"

"Why?" He doesn't want to show her, but from the way she was glaring at him... He has no choice. Tanaga then revealed the part of his arm to show Ashley.

She was surprised to see the mark of her fingers on Tanaga's arms. She was quick to cover her mouth as she squeals.

"Oh, my God! You were not joking. I am sorry, so ... sorry! I did not know. I'm horrible, and I can't believe that I'm capable of leaving a mark on your skin. "I'm sorry, babe!" Ashley pleaded for forgiveness as she blows at her husband's arm.

"Dear, it is alright! Even if you beat me up, you will not hear any complaints from me. The only thing that I was asking is that you don't lay a hand on me when I'm holding something hot. That's all!" He then pulled a chair before guiding Ashley to sit down.

"It is all right! Let us eat before the food gets cold again." Tanaga pulled the chair for himself and sat down, ready to eat.

The couple looks wonderfully happy while they ate. They were attentive to each other, while once in a while, they would feed and teased each other.

It was what Sato and Tiny saw when they walked out of their room to check what was the noise that they heard coming from the dining room.

Because the two were busy with each other, they did not notice that Tiny and Sato's was video recording the whole thing. They were doing it for the Chairwoman and butler Ruffy back in Japan.

"I am sure Chairwoman will enjoy this when I send it to her," Sato said as he continued recording using his phone.

"Hmmm, I think I'm going to make a lot of money with this one. It's a special moment of the couple. I wonder how much money the couple would pay me if I used this for blackmail?" Tiny jokes to Sato to see what his reaction would be?

Sato's eyebrows rose and stopped him from recording when he heard what Tiny said. Before giving him a stare with killing intent.

"I hope you're just kidding. Otherwise, I would be your worst enemy!" Sato retorted to Tiny while holding his cellphone as he wiggled his fingers in the air. It was a male voice and not his very feminine voice to scare Tiny.

"And what can you do if I am not joking?" Said Tiny before winking at the man next to him.

Sato let out a sigh of relief that Tiny was only kidding because he has no idea what he would do if he weren't'.

Tiny and Sato stopped recording once they figured they have enough already to satisfy the curiosity of the elder's in Japan. They quietly retracted their step and went to their separate room without the couple noticing them...
