Chapter 937 Going Home



"It doesn't matter. For you, boss, I'll climb through daggers and walk through flames!" Yun Tian declared.

"Whipped!" Lin Shuang snorted.

"Let's get back to topic. Just pay attention to his whereabouts. If he's in danger, help him out," Yao Tang added.

"Also, inform me when necessary."

On the other end of the phone call, Yun Tian and Lin Shuang were close to jumping in excitement.

Despite Yao Tang's casual order of keeping an eye on him, they both placed Cheng Yan's information as their top priority.

She didn't know what her subordinates were planning.

When he had received news that Yao Tang had finally returned, Yao Yan didn't waste a minute to pick her up.

Yao Yan quickly sped toward them.

The second he had gotten out of the car, he wanted to give Yao Tang a big hug. However, he ended up circling his arms around Cheng Yan instead.

Yao Tang didn't seem too bothered by this. However, when Qin Jing and Lin Xin caught sight of this, they couldn't help but be stunned. Their lips were sealed as they struggled to hold in their laughter.

It took a second for Yao Yan to realize that the tall frame was nowhere near Yao Tang's.

He immediately jumped away, looking as if he had hugged a garbage can.

"Disgusting!"

"Same goes for you." Cheng Yan sneered.

"She's my sister!"

"I know."

"I plan on giving her a hug, and you decided to just step in?" Yao Yan demanded.

"Your eyesight was that bad that you missed!"

"You really are an ass, huh?"

"It's a good thing you find out now."

The two glared at each other, looking like they were preschoolers going at it at the playground.

Qin Jing and Lin Xin were practically squeezing each other to deaths. Here were two handsome men just going at it. No one would believe them even if they talk about it at school!

Finally, Yao Tang had enough.

"Alright, alright! You're already so old, yet you're quarreling like a bunch of kindergarteners. How childish!"

"And you two!" Yao Tang turned to her friends. "There's an exam tomorrow. And if you don't do well—"

Her friends didn't even wait for her to finish as they scurried off.

Just as she had expected.

"Thank you for taking care of me." Yao Tang turned to Cheng Yan.

"Of course."

His eyes softened. However, just as he was about to reach down and pat her hair, he was stopped halfway.

Yao Yan had slapped his hand away!

"You—" Cheng Yan turned to glare at him, but the man only shrugged in response.

They looked like they were about to go at it again.

Seeing this, Yao Tang quickly dragged her brother back to the car.

However, before they left, the two shared one last gaze.

Cheng Yan stared at the car as it sped away. The corners of his lips raised into a smile.

His little angel was doing well now.

Cheng Yi, who was watching this entire time, looked like he was about to be sick. Why was his boss like this? What the hell was going on?

However, before his thoughts could get to him, he felt someone patting him on the chest.

"Come on, let's go."

In the car heading back to the Yao family, tension had fianlly seeped through.

"Tangtang, you have no idea how worried we are."

"I'm sorry. I didn't think it through again and made you worry." Yao Tang was touched by his concern, but she couldn't help but be a little uncomfortable. Ever since her grandparents had left, she had been used to living like this. It was why she didn't report her whereabouts to anyone. "I won't do it again."

Now that she had people who cared for her...she had to be more careful.

"We're not blaming you or anything. We're just worried, that's all. Look, I don't know what you've been up to, but if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that you aren't an ordinary girl." Yao Yan sighed. "I just get worried, that's all."
