Lin Su’s cheeks couldn’t help but flush as he pretended to look calmly at the online store module created by William. The pure green page was fresh and clean, with various pictures of fruits and vegetables embedded in it, full of vitality and liveliness, which made one’s eyes brighten involuntarily.

Only the prices needed to be added, and the store could officially open for business.

The tingling sensation in his heart had long fused into a whole. When he heard Lin Su’s question, his hand on the bed involuntarily grabbed the sheet. Because his nails were too sharp, he directly tore a hole in the sheet.

Realizing that he had done something wrong, William’s body stiffened, and he responded softly, “Yes.”

At the same time, he carefully flattened the sheet with his palm, as if he could hide the hole he had made.

William’s “Yes” was very low, almost like a sigh. If one were to listen carefully, it sounded more like a breath, after all, he was still recovering from his mental turmoil.

But Lin Su, who received this affirmative answer, felt his cheeks grow even hotter.

He raised his hand and rubbed his hot earlobe, and naturally responded, “Oh.”

The originally cute and round ears of the young female had turned pink and tender at some point.

Lin Su was momentarily stunned, then he put his hand down and turned to look at William, his eyes filled with suspicion as he asked, “What was that sound?”

Sitting beside him, William’s body was tense, his thin lips pressed into a straight line, and his dog ears on top of his head stood upright, trembling slightly.

Just as Lin Su thought he might have misheard, he saw the dog ears standing in William’s white hair suddenly droop backward, lacking vitality and appearing aggrieved.

Immediately after, his sleeve was lightly tugged, leading Lin Su’s gaze to look downward.

There were five nail scratches on the previously neat and clean deep blue bedsheet.

William, who thought he might have angered the young female by damaging the sheet, shook his drooping dog ears, and the fox tail scattered on the bed lightly patted the surface. His golden irises enlarged, looking innocent and anxious.

Lin Su stared at the five nail scratches and after being surprised for a moment, he suddenly smiled. “William, it seems like you need to trim your nails.”

Looking at the smile in the young female’s bright black eyes and the attractive dimples on his cheeks, William confirmed that Lin Su wasn’t angry about him damaging the sheet. His dog ears stood up again, and the tip of his tail moved closer to Lin Su’s ankle, seeking affectionately.

“Rest for a while, have something to eat. I’ll go to my father’s room and borrow a nail clipper,” Lin Su suggested, while he stood up from the bed and went to the cabinet to get a new sheet, then proceeded to remake the bed. “You take a break, eat something. I’ll go borrow a nail clipper from my father.”

Upon hearing the words “nail clipper,” the dog ears on top of William’s head involuntarily twitched. He turned his head, pretending to be natural, and responded softly.

As Lin Su left the room, he saw Su Jin lingering by the door. Before he could ask if something was wrong, Su Jin handed him something.

It felt somewhat soft, and when Lin Su looked down, he discovered it was a tube of ointment.

Perplexed, Lin Su looked at the white tube of ointment without a name in his hand, wondering why Su Jin suddenly gave him this. “What is this, Female Father?”

“This ointment has a good anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, and it has no side effects. It’s fine to apply it to that area,” Su Jin explained.

“Huh?” Lin Su heard every word Su Jin said, but he didn’t understand which area he was referring to.

Su Jin wore a look of understanding that Lin Su was embarrassed but that such things were normal. “It’s normal to be together with a partner. Don’t feel embarrassed. It’s a normal physiological need. After Su Jin finished speaking, he chuckled and patted Lin Su’s shoulder before returning the tube of ointment and gave Lin Su a knowing look. He then turned and went back into the room.

Why did this misunderstanding happen in the first place?

But he understood that Su Jin had deliberately come to talk to him about these things for his own good.

The tube of ointment in his hand said it all; he wasn’t an ungrateful person.

Lowering his head for a moment, he wondered how they could have misunderstood his relationship with William like that.

Turning around, Lin Su knocked on Kane and Su Jin’s door. When he received a response, he pushed the door open and cleared his throat, pretending to be casual. “Female Father, can I borrow your nail clipper? William’s nails are a bit long.”

Su Jin looked at him, noticing his slightly unnatural expression, and suppressed his amusement. “I’ll help you get it!”

“Thank you, Female Father.”

After receiving the nail clipper from Su Jin, Lin Su quickly bid him goodnight and left.

Kane watched him leave, observing his somewhat clumsy walking posture and curiously met Su Jin’s smiling black eyes. “What’s wrong with Xiao Su’s legs? Did he get injured?”

Su Jin rolled his eyes at the question and disdainfully pulled the covers back to lie down. “I don’t understand. Stop asking nonsense.”

Suddenly being retorted, Kane blinked innocently. Why couldn’t he ask about their child’s legs when he was concerned?

Kane leaned over, resting his chin on his arm, and furrowed his brows in thought. The large black dog beside him lay on the bed, kicking its four legs playfully.

“Hey, is it possible that Xiao Su and William… Am I going to be a grandfather?”

Realizing something, Kane looked excitedly at Su Jin next to him.

Seeing that he finally caught on, Su Jin’s lips curled up. “Xiao Su is sensitive about these things. Don’t directly ask him!”

Kane nodded. “Don’t worry, I’ll pretend to know nothing, hehe!”
