179 I will take care of it

A sea of stars burst forth in the inky darkness creating an unattainable ethereal beauty unique only to the distant galaxy. At a glance, one could feel their soul mellow with all their troubles washed away.

A slender hand with long fingers rose in this sea of stars and when it touched one of them with its fingertip the star floated away.

A low sigh followed as Zi Han placed his hand behind his head lost in thought. It had been three days after the party but Yi Chen hadn’t responded to any of his messages.

Today he actually thought that he would see Yi Chen at the academy. But for the entire day, Yi Chen was nowhere to be seen.

He couldn’t help but think about the last time he saw him. They ate breakfast together and Yi Chen had even teased him a couple of times calling him a terrible sleeper. Yep, they had shared a bed and Zi Han had once again demonstrated why he shouldn’t share a bed with anyone.

The atmosphere was especially harmonious and they were very happy but now Yi Chen hadn’t even read his messages. Zi Han was a little flustered at this point.

Countless times he had told himself that he won’t care about it anymore. If Yi Chen was going to ignore him then he could also ignore Yi Chen. He put him on the blacklist after sending this;

HandsomeHan: Don’t bother responding to my messages. We are no longer friends.

But no less than an hour later he had already dragged Yi Chen out of his blacklist. This cycle repeated itself four times until Zi Han gave up.

.....

His emotions were like an infinite rollercoaster making one think he had bipolar disorder. He tried to come up with his own explanations to justify why Yi Chen wasn’t responding but each time he would debunk it.

Now he could only stare at the sea of stars projected in his room and hoped it would calm him down but his mind couldn’t help but drift over at his light brain that was as silent as a chicken.

He turned his body and lay on his side. The floating stars shone on his long lashes as they fluttered slowly. His eyes closed and his breathing evened out. It seemed he was about to fall asleep.

As he slowly sank into the sea of darkness, Zi Han’s light brain lit up. His eyes which were closed shut, suddenly opened as he jolted awake.

When he saw who it was, slight disappointment flashed in his eyes. His back leaning on the headboard of his bed he answer the video call and the lights in the room lit up.

Best

Li Ran was startled when he saw a shirtless Zi Han who was raking his hair with his fingers pushing it back while staring at him with an indolent look.

With a cocked brow, he asked, “Do you always answer your video calls like this?”

Zi Han rested his arm on his bent knee while replying, “Pretty much.”

Li Ran suddenly felt slight panic. That’s because Zi Han answered video calls like this then if Hela calls him wouldn’t she fall in love with all his languorous bad boy vibes?

“Uh... you should stop doing that and put some clothes on. It’s really cold these days,” he said but Zi Han wasn’t even listening. His words fell into one ear and out the next.

“I know you didn’t call me to talk about that.... What did you find out?” asked Zi Han a little worried. He had asked Li Ran why Yi Chen hadn’t shown up at the academy but Li Ran who had a hangover for the entire weekend had no idea what was up with Yi Chen.

He just told him that he will find out as soon as he gets home. But after waiting for so long Zi Han didn’t think Li Ran would get back to him tonight. He had already planned to corner him tomorrow morning and demand some answers but who would have thought Li Ran was this reliable?

“Well, Chen-ge he um.... he is being punished for the whole pool incident. The Marshal told him to train until he realized his mistake....,” explained Li Ran but he stopped when he saw Zi Han’s expression wasn’t right.

“What pool thing?” asked Zi Han with a puzzled look on his face.

That’s when Li Ran realized that Zi Han was in the dark about it so he explained. “Someone uploaded a video of what happened the night of the party and people on Starnet were criticizing him for his behavior..... I took it down but the heat was on for most of the weekend so....,” he said only for Zi Han’s eyes to widen like light bulbs.

“Are you serious right now?” asked Zi Han in disbelief. How was he supposed to know that him trying to kiss Evan would take such a dramatic turn?

“Uh huh, I will try and talk to auntie to convince the Marshal to let him go but..... the Marshal is really stubborn,” he said only for Zi Han to respond by saying,

“I will take care of it.”

Li Ran, “???”

“How are you going to take care of it? That sounds weird. Hey where are you going?” asked Li Ran when he saw Zi Han hastily getting off the bed.

“I am going to fix it?” he replied with a thoughtful expression.

“How?” To be honest, Li Ran couldn’t understand why he felt weird about this. What could he do to help the situation?

“By talking to the one person not afraid to provoke the Marshal,” replied Zi Han but before Li Ran could ask, “Who?” Zi Han was already gone and the video call was cut.

Zi Han left the room without putting on his slippers and knocked on his grandfather’s office door but there was no response.

He was about to ask the housekeeping system when the door opened and his grandfather was sitting at his desk with a serious expression like he was doing something important.

His screen protection system was on so Zi Han couldn’t see what he was doing. He was actually shopping for some miscellaneous things on Starnet again. Yes, grandpa Zi was sort of a shopaholic.

“What’s wrong?” he asked while giving him a casual glance.

“Uh... grandpa,” he said his voice low and pitiful like he had been wronged. After hearing that voice Zi Feiji had a bad premonition.

Whenever he heard his daughter use that kind of voice it was either he was going to lose a large sum of money or he was going to have to smooth over a situation his daughter started.
