Chapter 50: Leng Sufeng
Cold! Bone-chillingly cold!
Simply looking at the white-haired man, Qi Bei felt as if his eyes were about to freeze over.
Suddenly, the white-haired man lifted his head, revealing his pupils that were as white as an endless expanse of snow and ice. He was a man who seemed to have been carved from ice, from head to toe, every hair on his body appeared to be made of ice. His overall appearance was undeniably eerie.
As Qi Beis gaze met the white-haired mans, he felt a jolt in his heart. The flow of blood throughout his body began to slow down, as if it had been frozen.
*Roar* Die! Jin Gang, like a moving fortress, roared and charged toward the white-haired man. Every step he took caused the ground to shake violently, and the hard bluestone on the street was crushed, leaving behind huge footprints.
When he was about ten yards away from the white-haired man, Jin Gang jumped up with great force, and his fist, as big as a bowl, made a sharp sound as it smashed toward the white-haired mans head. This chapter is updated by nov(e)(l)biin.com
The white-haired man casually lifted his hand and lightly waved it, causing a frost to spread all around.
Bang!
Jin Gangs fist hit the white, almost transparent palm of the white-haired man, and he was frozen in midair.
The white-haired mans palm bent slightly backward, and his icy eyes flashed with surprise. Suddenly, he shook his hand and a flurry of ice crystals quickly spread around Jin Gangs fist.
However, unexpectedly, Jin Gang was only frozen for a second, and then a dazzling light appeared at his arms, instantly shattering the ice layer.
Roar Jin Gang roared wildly, and his other fist thundered toward the white-haired man. In the extremely fast fist shadows, there were faint flashes of beast-like images.
Instinctively, the white-haired man covered his body with Ice Armor made of battle qi. With a pu sound, the two fingers tapped on the ice armor, and an eerie force penetrated through the armor.
The white-haired man felt a sharp pain in his chest, almost causing him to pass out.
Almost there, too bad! Qi Bei sighed with regret in his heart. He had just used the Divine Dragon Arts internal energy to intercept the white-haired mans vital points. Unfortunately, the mans battle qi armor was too strong, and his core battle qi was at least of King grade, which made it difficult for Qi Bei to inflict a fatal blow.
You all will die! The white-haired man was angry, and his body flashed with icy flames. The ice jade longsword stuck in the ground suddenly trembled and flew into his hand.
Leng Sufeng, you cant kill Qi Bei Nord, have you forgotten the orders of His Majesty? The commander of the Dragon Armor Legion shouted anxiously. They were just here to intercept Qi Bei and take him back to the imperial capital. If he died, the Nord family would probably make the entire Golden Leaf Empire chaotic.
However, the white-haired man called Leng Sufeng didnt listen. He was a proud warrior who practiced a Holy-grade Battle Qi technique, the Frost Heart Battle Qi, and was still injured by a kid. If he didnt kill him, he couldnt calm his anger.
Moreover, he was not a subordinate of Emperor Han Mo, but owed him a favor five years ago and promised to do this task to repay it.
Leng Sufeng didnt use his sword at first because he disdained using it against such lowly ants. That would be an insult to his sword.
But now, he couldnt care less about that. He swung his sword with both hands, and a tens of yards long ice sword aura slashed toward Qi Bei and Jin Gang. The ground cracked, and the fissures were quickly covered by ice.
Qi Beis clothes covered his hands, and his internal energy boiled and surged. His hands began to dragonize.
However, at that moment, a dramatic change occurred.
Stop him! The commander of the Dragon Armor Legion suddenly shouted. With a toss of his halberd, it transformed into a beam of frigid light, hurtling towards Leng Sufeng. Then, the crossbowmen fired a barrage of arrows, using the magic arrow net originally used to deal with Qi Bei to trap Leng Sufeng.
