As Seth said those words in greetings he kissed the back of the royal princess' hand.

In between the contests of the Tournament, students were given some time to prepare and get themselves accustomed to the atmosphere to bring out their best in the matches.

Seth was occupied with several things but the talk with Miyuki yesterday brought a sense of discomfort to his plans and what Seth cannot entirely control, he feels wary of it.

The only source of help he could think of, who can tell whether there is any credibility to Miyuki's words was the first princess, Celine, thus he was here.

Fortunately, the royal family was also here to watch the Tournament since leaving the premise too long might have cost him the tournament. Though it was surprising for someone so isolated and introverted to attend this event, Seth has no motive to question her decision.

Thankfully, Celine accepted the invitation to this meeting and called him early in the morning to her room which was located in another building situated in the same compound.

The place was huge, containing eight complex buildings, two gyms, and two outdoor fields. Many royalties arrive to spectate the matches so it was given that appropriate arrangements would be made.

"You bothered meeting me suggests there's something you want me for."

It wasn't a question from the blond princess but a statement like she just judged Seth's actions like an open book. Seth wasn't surprised by this since he knows how perceptive and calculative the girl is.

Seth took the offered chair across her as the tea was already served and still, there was steam blowing off along with a tray of cookies resting beside.

Seth skipped over the pleasantries and jumped on the topic.

"Can I selfishly request for something and in return I will fulfill anything in my power your highness may desire? "

Celine was quite surprised by his changed behavior compared to the last time. He was not entirely different but somehow his tone didn't contain the wariness he held for anyone who was not close to him.

Despite being confined in her room all the time Celine has been keeping an eye on Seth ever since the day he saved her. She usually hears about him from her sibling who was planning to join Pristine Academy this year.

Naturally, she would have never invited him if she couldn't even hear his request.

"I would like to hear your request first. "

Celine took a small sip of the beverage which as usual was to her liking. Her deep blue eyes were trained on the man opposite her, studying him without letting her gaze become obvious.

"I wonder what is bothering Albeck Seth that he has to seek my help. "

She made it clear that she first wanted to hear something useful out of the deal before she could decide whether to tell him about it or not.

It was not that Celine was being cocky here, rather she didn't want Seth to get meddled with this world where Celine knew, he could get hurt. Things related to departed beings were never a good idea to get in contact with but Celine indeed has seen something unnatural sometime before that she might have sought Seth once this tournament would have been over.

Seth is exceptional in hiding his inner turmoil, she noted.

The brief silence between them was enough evidence which told the royal lady, how grave this might be influencing Seth's life and those around him.

"I have killed someone, Your Highness. A person who was plotting against me and was trying to hurt someone I love. I want to ensure whether he has really walked to the other side or... "

For some reason, something in between his words induced a sting in her heart. Celine decided to think about it afterward.

For now, she knows whom he was talking about without Seth verbally clarifying it. And with that, now she knows that her hunch landed at the right spot.

"My cup is empty, hand over yours. "

Seth looked perplexed before he got up and moved his hand toward the teapot, "I will serve you another cup-"

"Consider it as advance fees for what I am going to tell you "

Seth's thin yet bushy brows raised before he looked back at his half-empty cup and with a defeated sigh, passed it toward the lady.

"Which side you were sipping from? "

"A little right from there... "Seth thought that she might have asked to avoid the spot from where he was downing the tea but to his surprise, she chose the perfectly same spot to let her lips interact with the crockery as she elegantly drank the already cold beverage.

Celine finished the drink before she rested it beside her own cup with their handles connected, something Seth didn't notice before she looked back at him.

"As I can conclude after observing you Albeck Seth, you are surrounded by some strangest specimens I have ever seen. "
