Chapter 107: Know your place!

After Seth returned from Haruka's room, he found Ciel waiting for him in the dining hall. He asked her to follow him to the garden where Lara prepared them tea as the two seated for a short conversation.

Seth had nothing else but Anabelle to ask Ciel about since considering the fact that Ciel went to call Seth rather than a professor told that the silver-haired girl knew something.

And indeed hearing her response, Seth concluded that his secretary already knew about Anabelle's connection with him.

"She never explicitly told me anything related to you, but the amount of fascination she held with anything related to the President was borderline...you know...creepy. I did ask her whether she l-liked the president but she always brushed the topic, away."

Seth was a bit contemplative on the matter. Not because he was doubting Ciel but rather trying to dig out the stem which grew into such deep affection of hers toward him.

In his past life he never genuinely sensed anything from the girl which could be counted as a hint of her romantic interest in him. He always remained at a certain distance and never breached the boundary which could taint the relationship between a brother and Imouto.

Ciel dictated most of the things she found weird in her roommate and also included what was good in her as well since the secretary didn't want to give a bad impression of her friend to the boy Anabelle has a crush on.

After two refills of the beverage and half an hour's chat, Ciel finally concluded before Seth asked whether she would like to stay here or go back.

"If it's okay, President, then I would like to stay by Anabelle's side."

Despite being awkward Ciel did not want to leave Anabelle alone when she was in such a situation. Ciel has seen Anabelle at her worst which sheltered a part of Ciel's memory that she wouldn't forget ever. And Ciel still felt shivered whenever she remembered that scene.

Seth knew what Ciel is going through and he couldn't do anything to elevate her mood.

But still, to reduce her anxiety, Seth brought his hand above hers before he spoke in a soothing tone.

"Don't worry, Ciel. I will take care of Anabelle and would not let anything happen again. So please, trust me and get some rest okay?"

Ciel was startled by the sudden touch but she needed this. Some comfort when there was no one she could actually rely on. This was a new much needed sensation and despite being just her handheld, Ciel felt her heart calming a lot.

Staring at his green orbs Ciel found herself lost for a moment there but she pulled herself out of the trance, and Seth's following words helped her to do so as well.

Arata nodded thoughtfully before he placed the teacup back on the table and leaned back on his seat. With a shrug, the raven-haired concluded.

"Since Ryuuta and Keita have died already, let's go with our new names, shall we?"

Seth didn't reply since he never actually paid attention to it. Though his soul and mind belonged to a teenage boy who lived back in Japan, it doesn't matter anymore since he had the appearance and new identity of Seth Albeck.

Sensing the silence as a cue to proceed, Arata once again raised his voice.

"So you finally drove Mayu to complete madness?"

This time Seth reacted but before his words, his aura responded to the boy by giving away a slight murderous ambiance, which was enough to make the table and cutlery tremble under the heavy pressure.

Arata from the past might have gone scared shitless by this much intimidation but now, after awakening, it didn't affect him much.

Seth coldly stared at the boy, before he directed a piece of his mind and warning along the lines.

"Whatever happens between me and Mayu is nothing you should be concerned about. So know your place and stay away from my business."

It was no request but a command which Seth expected to be implied since he had methods to make it so. True he had complicated thoughts related to Anabelle but it got nothing to do with either Arata or Keita.

Arata smirked a little, before releasing his own aura which collided with Seth's intent making the atmosphere heavier than before and breaking the previously trembling cutlery in an instant.

Both men were unaffected by the effects they were producing as a small stare contest happened between them before the younger one parted his lips to make a bold statement.

"And...what if I don't?"
