Chapter 75: Dungeon city!

A long two journey days to Panorva which comes in the jurisdiction of Albeck Duchy finally came to an end as I saw the entrance of the city appearing some meters away.

I could have used the Teleportation center since my monthly allowance was probably can buy a small village at once. But since I wanted to have my skill tested and this trip came out of nowhere, I preferred to experience jerks in the carriage.

It was comfortable enough and I was able to practice my Soul synchronization without caring about any prying eyes. Lara was always with me but I knew she wouldn’t sell me out.

Her love makes her blind and even if she chooses to betray me, I have ways to return the favor ten folds. I do like her but not to the point I could allow myself to get doubted by the Duchess. She’s my strongest backer after all.

The reason I made this sudden plan to visit Panorva was because of the amount dungeons it preserves.

Dungeons as the name suggests are the nest of monsters that have been gathered throughout time, by using the temptation called soul core. Inhumane creatures require nothing more than hunting surroundings and enough core energy flowing in the air to keep their interest invested in the dungeons.

Not like even if they want to escape they could, given the amount Duchy provides for security.

Unlike humans who have to train and meditate to gather and increase their soul energy, wild beasts gather soul energy with just their breathing and thus never leave dungeons.

The purpose of creating dungeons was just to ensure the safety of the surroundings and give chance to the talented young warriors to test their skills and improve to save humanity in the uncertain future.

I was entering the city with the same purpose in mind. I had to gather strength and become proficient with my skills in order to avoid unnecessary suspicion and be ready for upcoming events.

“We have arrived, young master.”

Nodding, I straightened my waistcoat before exiting the carriage as I got greeted with the sight of a group of two dozen soldiers, and in their lead stood a middle-aged man with short brown hair.

“Governor Fitwick.”

“Lord Seth. I hope the journey wouldn’t have been tedious.”

“Should I prepare a bath or lunch first, my lord?”

While taking off my coat Lara asked in a mild tone with her hot breathe hitting my skin occasionally.

I thought about it and concluded that it would be a waste to go to the dungeon now when it was nearing dusk and venturing into the dungeon during the night right off the bat wouldn’t be ideal.

Primarily I thought to eat something and visit the guild in the evening, but having such a beautiful woman in this far-off place, naturally brought changes in my plans.

“Ah!”

Lara adorably yelped as I encircled my hand around her waist and pulled her in a tight embrace. Her breasts were pressed against me as I looked down at her innocent eyes, which droopily turned upward.

I may not be a perverted creature by default but having the taste of this sweet fruit once only increased my greed.

“How about you join me in the bath and I can have you as my lunch?”

Lara blushed instantly her ears heating up with each of my words. She was left speechless and in response, she just lowered her head.

I looked at the woman for some moments before I leaned forward and picked her up in a bridal carry. Lara, despite being startled encircled her arms around my neck as she gazed at me with a look that only increased my urge to taint this woman.

“You are in for a long afternoon, my maid...”
