Chapter 66: No rewards?

Anabelle comes from a faraway village named Mir, situated on the borderline of two prominent nations. It takes almost twenty days by carriage and one day through the teleportation portal as well, to reach her homeland from Carter city where Albeck duchy is situated.

The reason why despite having the privilege of teleportation, it takes her one day was because of the distance from her village to the nearest teleportation center.

Anabelle would never have left Seth’s side when he was so heavily injured but she has to check on her mother as well who lives alone after her father ran away with some other woman.

Anabelle nurtures the deepest emotion of love toward Seth but when Duchess Valarie convinced her that he would be fine now, Anabelle reluctantly returned only after promising to come back in a few days.

“I am back, mother.”

As the raven-haired girl spoke in a neutral tone, a mature version of Anabelle walked out in slight urgency with tears clouding her eyes yet a smile of relief hanging on the older woman’s lips.

“You finally decided to show up...”

Anabelle caught her mother who practically threw herself in her daughter’s embrace after seeing her after so long.

Anabelle’s mother-- Fienna— has the same features as her daughter except for her emotional nature. She cares a lot for her daughter and Anabelle could understand the reason behind it.

Apart from her, Fienna had no one else for whom she would want to continue living.

“I am sorry for arriving late, but I am home.”

For the next some days Anabelle spent most of her time with her mother, helping her with chorus and keeping her company as long as she could.

Her family was on the poorer side of the lower class since all the funds and savings were stolen by that bastard man whom Anabelle once called father.Ñøv€lRapture marked the initial hosting of this chapter on Ñôv€lß¡n.

It was fortunate for that man that Anabelle got a grip of her true prowess after he ran away or there was no way she could have let the matter go, that easily.

Meanwhile, Anabelle also informed her mother that she had found her love of life and that she have to return to him. Honestly, she assumed that Fienna would stop Anabelle to grow fond of any man since she herself has been betrayed.

But...

“Do what you think is right for you, Bella. I believe in your choice.”

The smile with which those came out made Anabelle emotional herself as she embraced her mother and promised to bring her lover to meet her once everything gets sorted.

“Why don’t you understand, how hard I am trying here? Trying to keep you safe and smiling for the rest of your life. And until you don’t leave that bastard-“

“...and like that, I waved my arm, and whoosh....his head fell off.”

As Anabelle concluded there was nothing more than blankness left on Seth’s face as he kept staring between the girl and the head which undoubtedly belonged to the professor who went on the expedition with them.

Casting aside his doubts on what intention could Cedric have, for which he pushed Seth into the vault, the green-haired boy first looked at the girl who was smiling innocently at him.

“You killed him before even interrogating him?”

Anabelle pouted since she was looking forward to being praised. Some head pats wouldn’t have hurt anyone either. But she was rewarded with only more questions. Hmph!

“He was going to curse you that’s why I....if you think I did any mistake then you are wrong since I investigated in my own way and found out that this man indeed was the culprit.”

Seth didn’t have to ask how she might have investigated since he was aware of Anabelle’s potential.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t pry a dead mind which left him no choice rather than to believe this girl. But even for any possible clue he put that head in his spatial storage before he turned toward the girl.

“Okay, you have caught my interest. Now tell me what you want.”

Despite not having a good feeling about this, Seth had to remain true to his word. And Anabelle was successful in fulfilling her share of the bargain.

He thought that she might ask permission to stay in the mansion for some time more or maybe to have another hug.

Seth wasn’t narcissistic but he could tell that this girl was attracted to him for some reason.

However, he never thought the request would be this absurd.

“I-I want you to make me a woman tonight...”

A/N:- I hope you guys are liking the story so far. I will focus on the couple's interaction in order to build a proper harem. Might increase scenes from the next chapter but do let me know whenever it feels has become fast-paced.
