Chapter 367: “Time Will Tell”

The world will hear?

Sean shut his mouth immediately. He asked a question regarding Grindelwald, but Dumbledore said the world would hear.

Sean immediately remembered that when the whole world changed, he discovered that Grindelwald’s age was different and that Grindelwald realized it, too. Sean had a lot of thoughts in his mind, and in the end, he could only look at Dumbledore, hoping that he could give him an answer.

“Sean,” said Dumbledore, “Do you know Eloise Mintumble?”

Sean nodded. Of course, he knew Eloise, the person who went back five centuries ago.

Dumbledore went on to say, “I think you know.”

He gestured and pointed to a decorative hourglass in the office.

“Is it time-” Sean wanted to speak but stopped immediately.

“I can’t say it?”

Dumbledore nodded, “The world is sensitive now. It’s better not to mention such things.”

He picked up the hourglass while talking, “When you use the Time Turner to go back, under normal circumstances, you must stay there until the present. For example, you can go back for up to five hours. As long as you don’t do anything out of line, the time travel will be smooth.”

Sean frowned and said, “But Eloise obviously can’t survive five centuries. However, in the follow-up inspection by the Ministry of Magic, she died after returning to the present. After a thorough investigation, she was as old as five centuries old but returned after staying for five days. This means when she went back a long time ago, there was a method to come back, right?”

Dumbledore nodded, “Yes, special magic and a little luck, you can come back. However, the traces of time cannot be erased.”

Just when Dumbledore finished speaking, the whole world shook again, as if a sleeping dragon was about to wake up.

However, Dumbledore just smiled, “Look, it’s very sensitive.”

“Traces that cannot be erased?” Sean asked hesitantly.

“Yes,” Dumbledore looked into the distance, “the traces cannot be erased.”

Sean was lost in thought. It is obvious that Grindelwald has definitely gone back to the past, and judging from the snow globe, he has never returned to the present after returning to the past. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the world is sensitive right now.

Dumbledore seemed to have guessed what Sean was thinking and smiled, “The world has been listening to the voices of everyone’s souls. But currently, it’s just listening.”

He turned his head and looked at Sean, “I know you must have a lot of doubts now. But I’m sorry, I can’t give you any answers.”

After listening to Dumbledore’s words, Sean fell silent. He raised his head slightly and saw the dozens of Pensieves and the huge silver strands floating above them. It should be a huge memory, the kind of memory that requires a dozen Pensieves to look through. This kind of memory is likely to be a person’s entire life.

Sean saw such a sentence in the manuscript of the Pensieve maker. He personally erased the path he walked in this world so as to make the world forget his existence.

Dumbledore has been interpreting these memories. Sean raised his head suddenly, looking at that huge memory in shock.

“Is this... is this his memories? Professor?” Dumbledore didn’t speak, but his silence said it all.

Sean turned his head and asked, “Professor, so it’s not only because of an unbreakable vow but also because of this memory, right?”

Dumbledore didn’t speak, but the world answered for him. Just when Sean mentioned “his memory”, the feeling flashed again.

However, without waiting for him to think any further, Dumbledore said, “Sean, I know you have always been very smart. I hesitated for a long time whether to let you discover something.”

“However, this decision is up to you. Remember what I told you about the main points of the prophecy? I told you at the time that the more people know, the more the prophecy will come true. Although it is not a good thing to say this, a powerful wizard like me has a deeper entanglement with the world. My actions and thoughts will affect whether the prophecy happens or not to a certain extent.”

Dumbledore removed his glasses and wiped them, showing no sign of frustration or disappointment.

“It’s a surprise that I can stand here. If it wasn’t something we expected and didn’t caught off guard, it might lead to a big incident.”

The principals looked at each other, and someone sighed, “I thought something big was going to happen today.”

Dumbledore smiled and put on his glasses, his eyes radiating through the lenses, “His thoughts are very out of the ordinary, but he knows his priorities. This is what he has always been doing.”

“And then what? Even if the child can find out the truth of the matter, can he find a solution?”

Dumbledore said, “It makes me feel very ashamed to ask him to do these things now. Especially since he is only in the third grade.”

In the end, Phineas muttered, “It won’t happen anytime soon.”

When Sean left the principal’s office and came to the corridor, he immediately looked out the window. It seemed that the night sky had been returned to normal. It’s just that the castle didn’t fall into a weird feeling like before; the bright lights were lit everywhere, and every student felt that something was wrong.

“Well, it was something,” Sean muttered.

He turned his head and saw a petite figure standing there in the shadow of the curtain.

“Waiting for me?” Sean said to Stephanie.

She nodded and quickly said, “You may find this information useful. When those abnormalities appeared today, Professor Dumbledore found me immediately. He seemed to know that you and I have the authority of the Room of Requirements and asked me to find you.”

“Professor Dumbledore didn’t seem to have expected it, and he was in a hurry when he found me. But,” Stephanie pursed her lips, “On the way, he told me that he hoped that I wouldn’t hold any grudges for what happened later.”

Upon hearing the name Grindelwald, Sean looked towards the night sky. Fortunately, the world did not respond this time. Stephanie knows little about the whole thing, so nothing will happen even though his name is mentioned.

Sean sighed and spread his hands, “He has always been like that. He would sacrifice everyone, including himself, for his own goal. I don’t think he is right, and it’s a pity that he wouldn’t change.”

Sean smiled, “Though, I don’t care about what Professor Dumbledore said to you. However, he may have mentioned it just for a psychology trick. I may not be suitable to say this, but whether or not you wanted to hold grudges or not, it is up to you.”

After finishing speaking, Sean waved his hand, “I still have things to do. You should go back to sleep. Have a good night.”

After that, he disappeared in place. Looking at the place where Sean disappeared, Stephanie’s eyes flickered with an inexplicable expression.

“You there? Where’s the information? Hurry up!”

“Our contact with the Muggle Prime Minister is ready.”

“You, over there. Hurry up!”

In the middle of the night, the Ministry of Magic, which should have been empty by now, was noisy and lively, like a bustling place. No one could ignore this huge incident, and the staff who had already left work were called back.

“Department of Mysteries.” A voice sounded, and the golden fence door opened, but no one went out of the elevator.

The clerk in the elevator pressed a button, thinking of asking the maintenance department to come over to check the elevator as the elevator seemed to be having an error on this floor, but he didn’t notice a small worm walking out of the elevator.

The worm slipped into a dark corner, and a figure suddenly appeared on the spot.

Sean raised his eyebrows after changing his appearance and disappeared into the air.
