Chapter 315: 'Snape’s Warning”

Chapter 315: “Snape’s Warning”

“If you really remember to bring your poor brains to the Potions classroom, then the potion should be as easy as flipping the palm of your hand. Fire it up and brew it.” On the podium, Snape said coldly.

All the students took action except for Sean, who was still standing there. Snape glanced at him sullenly, then moved closer to Harry.

“It’s unfair...” Sean sighed secretly.

After what happened last night, Daisy and Hermione just ignored him. Sean didn’t even notice a little thief ruining his potion’s main ingredients.

The airwing bird ate the eyes as a snack.

A low chirping sound came from inside Sean’s clothes. Hermione gave him a warning look but turned slightly to block Snape’s view to her right.

“Don’t make any trouble at this time, little guy.” Sean sneaked in his hand and pinched the bird.

The bird trembled in Sean’s clothes and soon lay numbly in the bag without moving.

After experimenting, he found that the back of the bird seemed to be its weakness, and a pinch could make it limp for a while. Although he was close to Sean, he couldn’t understand what Sean meant, and he was still an idiot. Sean could only use this method to calm him down for a while.

The Potions class was still going on, and while Snape was laughing at Harry’s stirring technique, Sean sneaked up to Hermione’s side.

“Hermione...” He whispered.

Hermione’s expression didn’t change at all. She just moved a little to the right again.

“Professor Snape asked me to vote for her...” Sean was trying to explain it to her.

However, as soon as the words reached his lips, he swallowed them again. But after thinking about it, Sean still didn’t know what to say.

Sean suddenly missed the days before he entered Hogwarts. At that time, he could freely roam among girls of all ages, but now he was at a loss.

“Wallup.” After the cold voice, a book was smashed on Sean’s head.

When he returned to his senses, Snape looked down at him.

“Do you not understand what he says to you, Sean?”

Sean looked at Harry at this moment. He stuck out his tongue at Snape’s back and raised his eyebrows at Sean, indicating that he seemed to be in a bad mood today.

Sean sighed secretly. When Snape turned to leave, Sean glanced at Hermione, who was seriously brewing the potion, and finally decided not to speak.

Sean also ignored Hermione’s disgusted gaze, leaned over, and watched the process of her brewing the potion. Hermione still didn’t look him in the eye and even moved on purpose to avoid him.

Not only did she not deliberately do that, but she also moved the material shelf slightly so that Sean couldn’t see the operation steps of her brewing potion more clearly.

Of course, she didn’t say a word to Sean until after class.

After class, Sean was going to talk to Hermione, but Snape stopped him.

“Come with me.” Snape said.

Following Snape to the basement floor, Sean almost thought he had come to the wrong place as soon as he entered Snape’s office. The large glass jars in which grotesque limbs and hideous animals were soaked seem to have been removed and replaced by potions of all kinds.

The potions packed in glass bottles and crystal bottles look amazing. Some are boiling themselves, some are constantly jumping, and some are emitting colorful light. In addition to the brand-new bookshelf, there were velvet-backed chairs and a brightly roaring bonfire, making Snape’s office didn’t look eerie at all.

Sean, who had just walked in, felt the warm feeling that a potion master with profound potion-making would feel in this atmosphere.

Of course, Snape was still the same Snape. Nothing changed at all from him.

He walked to the potion rack, took down two bottles of potion, handed them to Sean, and said with a blank expression, “This is the potion. Go back and study its properties. If you can’t satisfy me during the weekend punishment, then prepare for everything.”

“Of course.” Sean nodded readily.

He walked up to Buckbeak, met its dark and vivid eyes with a smile, bent down, and bowed sincerely.

“Yes, that’s it, well done,” Hagrid encouraged from the side. “Of course, if it approves of you, it will also bow in return. If it doesn’t, remember to back away slowly... oh...”

Before Hagrid could finish speaking, Buckbeak quickly bowed his head in return and leaned affectionately to Sean’s side.

“Huh? Hagrid, what did you just say? Sorry, I didn’t hear it clearly.” Sean asked while stroking Buckbeak’s fur.

Hagrid spread his hands helplessly, “It’s nothing.”

“By the way, where’s Professor Scamander? I thought he’d come over long ago to make preparations.” Sean turned neatly onto Buckbeak and asked curiously.

“Oh, don’t you know? Professor Scamander took a leave of absence and left Hogwarts yesterday.” Hagrid tidied up his messy coat again, “He trusts me a lot, so I temporarily became his substitute for a week.”

“Oh, that’s great, Hagrid. Congratulations, everyone will welcome you.” Sean congratulated me sincerely.

“Oh, I hope so.” Hagrid rubbed his hands a little awkwardly, “I’m a little worried. You know, Professor Scamander is so good.”

“You’re fine too, Hagrid. Of course, if you need my help, just let me know.” Sean said with a smile.

Hagrid is kind-hearted, but his perception of the danger of magical animals is different from that of normal wizards. If possible, he is willing to help out in class. Hagrid’s class would have been interesting if there had been no danger.

Hagrid patted Sean on the shoulder gratefully.

“Thank you, Sean.”

“You’re welcome, Hagrid.” Sean replied with a smile.

Sean also looked into the distance suspiciously. It is rare for Professor Scamander to ask for leave.

When the class started, Hagrid informed everyone that Professor Scamander was temporarily on leave. He would substitute for a week and invited Sean to be his assistant.

Sean was very popular, Draco’s gang would not openly make trouble, and Hagrid’s first class went quite smoothly.

After Sean demonstrated it once, the Hippogriff quickly adapted to the students. They bowed and stroked one by one. Even Draco, who had always been unhappy with Hagrid, was doing good.

“Alright, next one.” Shouted Sean, who was standing next to Buckbeak.

Excited, the girl touched Buckbeak again and ran away with small steps, and a girl behind stepped forward.

It’s Hermione.

Hermione still had the same expression as before, as if Sean didn’t exist. Sean’s eyes lit up. He gently stroked Buckbeak and leaned over to whisper a few words.

While using his talent, Buckbeak quickly understood what Sean meant. Although he didn’t understand why he had to fly around with the girl in front of him, but since Sean ordered it, he’ll do it.

He promised to give him two whole chickens.

Suspicion appeared in Hermione’s eyes, but there were already students urging her behind her, so she had no choice but to step forward and bow quickly.

Buckbeak also bowed slowly in return, and Sean smiled and said, “It likes you very much. You can try riding it.”

Hermione glanced at him and finally walked around to Buckbeak. She refused Sean’s move to help her up, and she got on his back.

Buckbeak uttered a long cry, stepped forward amidst the shouts of the students, and spread his wings.

After that, Buckbeak flew away.
