Chapter 274: 'Can’t Sleep Tonight”

Chapter 274: “Can’t Sleep Tonight”

“Mr. Wallup, I hope you can cooperate with us.”

In the room, a middle-aged wizard named Mark Ponte in front of the long table was posing with a serious expression. The young man opposite him didn’t care at all and even dozed off at the table.

Ponte’s face was sour. He had been entangled with a Hogwarts second-grade student for more than half an hour. But apart from being a bit curious and cautious when he stepped here at the beginning, after half an hour of questioning, the kid in front of him was not only not nervous or afraid but even dozed off.

Ponte still maintains his stern expression, but anger has risen in his heart. The anger can never be expressed, after all, the child in front of him has not been arrested.

Sean nodded his head on the table and yawned. He moved his face lazily and said in a tone of impatience, “Sir, I’m here to cooperate with the investigation, not a convict. Can I go now?”

Ponte moved his face closer, trying to make himself more threatening. He wanted to let him know the seriousness of the matter.

How can a second-year student remain calm and peaceful in the inquiry room?

“Mr. Wallup, please cooperate with us to recall more details,” Ponte said solemnly.

“Am I not cooperative enough?” Sean rolled his eyes.

There was enough trouble tonight, and he was too tired to maintain it until now.

Ponte’s tone was a little more serious and vaguely threatening, “Now the Ministry of Magic of various countries have issued arrest warrants for Grindelwald. Do you know what this means?”

“Huh?” Sean raised his eyelids lazily.

Ponte slammed the table, “You are a student of Hogwarts, but there is enough evidence to show that you have learned Grindelwald’s spell!”

“Is it against the law, Sir? Or is there a Ministry of Magic statute stating that the spell is Dark Magic?”

“That is enough to prove that you have a great connection with Grindelwald.”

Sean looked over, “The professors and students of Nurmengard, half of the students of Hogwarts, all the wizards who read the reports about Nurmengard Day know that I am just Grindelwald’s student like any other did. Do you still need to ask?”

“Do you know what kind of crime Grindelwald committed?”

“I know, and I won’t stop you from catching him.”

Ponte’s brows twitched, and his tone became firmer, “As we all know, Grindelwald never teaches privately, let alone accepting a Hogwarts student became his closest student. So, we have reason to suspect...”

Sean stretched out his hand, “Stop there. I mean, is it wrong to have a student like me?”

“I am now telling you the seriousness of this matter.”

Sean ignored him. He shook his bag, and Galleons could be heard.

“Look, I’m rich. Also,” Sean pointed at himself, “I’m a magic genius.”

He spread his hands, “He accepted me as his student because of that, is it difficult to understand?”This chapter made its debut appearance via N0v3lB1n.

Ponte pinched his brows. The interrogation was scheduled to be done in England, and Dumbledore assured them that there was nothing wrong with Sean.

Of course, Ponte and the others didn’t believe it, but Dumbledore spoke up. No one dared to use magic spells and Veritaserum to a child. Grindelwald ran away, and they expected Dumbledore to catch him back.

“I understand, master.” Lucius saluted, and after walking out of the corner, he turned into his usual behavior.

Sean was sent back to Nurmengard. When he walked into the castle, he found that even in the early morning, there were many people from the Guards running back and forth in the castle.

“This is going to be a different experience in Nurmengard.” Sean sighed secretly and returned to the common room.

The students did not get the news so quickly. Most of them had already fallen asleep, and only two people were curled up on the velvet chairs.

It was Hermione and Daisy.

Sean’s heart warmed up. Last time, these two waited for him to come back in the middle of the night.

Hermione pinched the corner of her clothes, and Sean suddenly disappeared from her side. She learned that Grindelwald had taken Sean away.

Although she knew that Grindelwald would not hurt Sean, she was still a little uncertain. Not to mention, what would happen if he was accidentally injured in that situation?

Daisy’s expression on the side is not very good. Not only Sean but her father and uncle are also in the Guards to arrest Grindelwald. She, with Harry and the others, went to Professor McGonagall to inquire about the situation, and she wondered if she could get any news.

But there was nothing that could be picked on.

“Sean!” Daisy exclaimed, jumped off the chair, and then rushed straight into his arms.

Hermione stood up abruptly and looked back. She paused for a moment, then quickly ran to the side of the two, raised her wand, and shone a light on Sean.

“I can’t believe that you were okay!” She babbled while sweeping Sean’s body.

“I’m fine, don’t worry about me.” Sean smiled tiredly at Hermione, then patted Daisy’s shoulder, “Don’t worry, James and Sirius are also fine.”

Daisy’s body trembled for a while, and then she raised her head, “I’m glad to hear that.”

“What happened?” Hermione frowned after confirming that Sean was fine.

Sean sat down and told the two about the situation.

“My God...” Daisy widened her eyes when she heard Dumbledore’s action and covered her mouth in shock after learning about the giant and the Death Eaters.

Hermione was also shocked, “Besides the Guards, there are also unknown organizations. I haven’t seen the name Death Eaters in the book. According to what you said, they managed to invoke that thing. That sounds like a very scary magic. I have seen similar information in ancient rune books.

Sean scratched his head, “Is there a specific description of the ancient spell?”

Hermione shook her head, “I just mentioned one thing, but you said that the giant disappeared not long after it existed. It may be an imperfect spell or the lack of output of magic power at all.”

Daisy said, “Nurmengard must be in chaos. Professor Grindelwald is the soul of Nurmengard, and not only Nurmengard, but the wizarding world will have a big change.”

Sean sighed, “It is a big trouble.”

Daisy looked at him, her voice softened a lot, “Sean, you must be very tired tonight. Go and rest first.”

Sean did not refute what she said. Daisy and Hermione had to wait for Harry and the others to come back. He said goodbyes to them and returned to the dormitory.

Sean lay heavily on the bed and closed his eyes, but he still couldn’t fall asleep after a while.

“It’s too much for tonight. I can’t sleep.” Sean opened his eyes and sighed.
