Chapter 81: “Newt’s Help”

Neither Riddle nor Snape spoke. Obviously, the curse wasn’t what they defined as a “dark curse”.

The Hogwarts students were angry. This was just a duel between students, not a life-and-death battle. In their opinion, the Nurmengard student went too far.

Thompson’s expression did not change in the slightest, and he even said unapologetically, “I’m sorry, I’m just used to it.”

Because of anger, several Hogwarts students start to move.

Neither of the next two students can outmatch him. The spell was being cast aggressively and useless in front of Thompson. The Hogwarts students who were swept were full of flaws. It didn’t take long for the two to be carried down just like the previous Gryffindor student.

“It’s kind of boring.” Thompson muttered casually with the Nurmengard students.

The Hogwarts students became angry, but after being defeated in a row, they finally held back, and the rest of the fifth-year students hesitated.

Thompson is obviously strong. Let alone the fifth graders. Even the higher grades are not guaranteed to win against him. Although the sixth and seventh graders were angry that their people were being humiliated, they were embarrassed to go directly to the stage.

If they win, they will be told that they’re bullying the juniors. But if they lose, it’ll be a more shameful experience for the seniors.

The plan to attack Hoffman led by Sean was done in a large group. But when it comes to one-on-one, they realize that their strength is far above their peers.

Sean didn’t react to anything. Although Thompson made him a little bit uncomfortable, he was more accustomed to observing the situation.

Needless to say, his spell mastery can completely crush most of the Hogwarts students, and he can even cast it nonverbally. In just three quick duels, Sean saw at least five different spells.

Moreover, Thompson has always been in that lazy posture, but his hand is firmly grasping the wand. His body is alert and would release a spell at any time.

Sean also found he likes to provoke his enemy so much. Just like Tom, Thompson will constantly point out the weakness of his opponent’s spellcasting, but his tone is much more sarcastic.

He doesn’t seem to have a good impression of the Nurmengard students. Does that mean that he wanted a little bit of revenge?

However, now is not the time to think about it. Since he has learned a spell ‘temporarily’, why not give it a try?

That Hufflepuff student obviously knew Sean. He noticed the tiredness on his face. The Hufflepuff student is keen about their colleagues’ feelings.

“Wallup, don’t do it,” He said, looking at Thompson again, “I’ll be your opponent.”

Thomson was squatting on the stage. He focused his attention on Sean, “So, you don’t want to try?”

Sean ignored him and instead smiled at the Hufflepuff student, “Senior, thank you for your kindness.”

Sean climbed directly onto the stage without waiting for him to speak, “Mr. Thompson, shall we begin?”

Thompson immediately took a step back, his expression focused. One thing Nurmengard has always taught them is never to underestimate the enemy. The seemingly harmless student in front of him just hit their professor with the Acupunctinternus spell.

Thompson had tried himself, and he couldn’t do it. Even there are only a few seventh-graders in Nurmengard that have mastered casting Acupunctinternus nonverbally.

After the salute, Sean immediately raised his wand and then realized that the enemy had taken a defensive stance.

Thompson has no choice. He is not sure how many spells he has mastered, so being defensive is the right choice. He knew that the Acupunctinterus Spell that could hit the professor’s defense was more than just a sting.

Moreover, Sean was already exhausted, and Thompson had the confidence to drain his energy.

“Am I that scary?” Sean muttered.

However, he had already made up his mind, and this would be a wave of his wand.

“Serpensortia!”
