Youshang’s yell caused the sword to sway unsteadily in mid air as a sharp buzz came from within.

“Damn brat! Why do I feel like you’re getting more and more disrespectful whenever I see you?” 

Kou Chongxue sounded strict, but he couldn’t hide the banter. It seemed as though the relationship between Youshang and Kou Chongxue wasn’t simple.

Snorting twice, Youshang threw out a triangular flag. “I think you might need this.” 

“Hey, that’s the Multi World Anchoring Flag! Where did you get that? How did you get it anyway?” A trace of excitement could be heard in Kou Chongxue’s voice. He quickly continued, “This can really help me out. I’ll be able to take the chance to teach them a lesson they’ll never forget!” 

“I didn’t find this. This little brat found it. Return it to me when you’re done, I still have uses for it!” Youshang pressed his lips together before sneering.

Kou Chongxue paused for a moment before muttering, “You’re going back to the Azure Spiritual World?” 

“Are you planning to let the Tongyou Mysterious World upgrade to a holy land?” Youshang asked a question of his own. From the looks of it, his question was directly related to the one Kou Chongxue asked him.

“Not right now. We still need to make many considerations before that can happen.” Kou Chongxue even seemed a little regretful as he gave his answer.

“Alrighty then!” Youshang rolled his eyes in response. 

“Anyway, I got it. This flag belongs to the other little guy. Is there anything else?” Kou Chongxue’s voice came from the Hidden Frost Sword, and it shook slightly. It resembled Kou Chongxue shaking his head in real life.

During their conversation, Youshang kept many treasures that fell to the ground later when Kou Chongxue destroyed the spatial artifact.

Youshang picked out a jade strip before tossing it over to Shang Xia. “This should contain the rank four advancement formula the White Deer Paradise is planning to give Yang Hu. You can bring it back to the institution when you’re done here!” 

Carefully receiving the jade strip, Shang Xia muttered his thanks.

A soft laugh came from the Hidden Frost Sword but he didn’t say any more.

Shang Xia understood the meaning behind Youshang’s actions. He handed Shang Xia the jade strip in front of Kou Chongxue as he didn’t wish to hide anything. However, he was also sending Shang Xia another message and that was to copy down its contents before giving it to the institution. 

Just like that, Shang Xia obtained another rank four advancement formula. 

It seemed as though Youshang was thanking him for the assistance Shang Xia rendered for the assault on the City Lord Manor earlier.

Moreover, that gave Shang Xia another piece of intel. This hidden spy of the Tongyou Institution in the Azure Spiritual World had quite a good grasp of the Shang Clan!

Opening his mouth, Shang Xia wanted to say something but Youshang had already disappeared into the distance. 

The two of them worked together to kill Gao Yun, and when Youshang left, he felt a weird sense of loss. A look of disappointment crossed his face. 

The Hidden Frost Sword seemed to be able to detect the changes in Shang Xia’s mood and Kou Chongxue’s amused voice came from within once again. “There’s nothing to worry about, kid. You guys will definitely meet again in the future!” 

Shang Xia nodded, but he soon added, “Patriarch, do you have any other orders for me?” 

Shang Xia recalled that Kou Chongxue wanted to head to the Ji Continent, and from the way the Hidden Frost Sword was behaving, Kou Chongxue seemed to be in a rush to leave. 

A soft hum came from the sword and the patriarch’s voice came from within once again. “Now that I have the Multi World Anchoring Flag, I’m no longer in a rush. I can let those old men and women in the institution catch their breath a little longer. That’s why I’m still here! By the way, the thing you said the other day worked. If not for the fact that I managed to recover slightly, our Tongyou Institution would have fallen today!” 

“Patriarch, you protected our You Continent for the past twenty years. This disciple is a member of the institution and I should share some of the responsibilities. I gave you the idea because there was no harm in trying anyway. At the end of the day, you succeeded because of your luck!” 

Laughing softly, Kou Chongxue added, “Haha! Damn kid, your words are much more pleasing to the ears than that guy from before.” 

Smiling, Shang Xia seemed to have thought of something. He muttered softly, “This disciple has been meaning to ask you this… How long can you fight in your current condition for anyway?” 

“Damn brat, I just said that you spoke nicer than the other guy. Looks like you’re a lot more daring now…” Kou Chongxue’s voice paused for a second. “I guess it’s alright to tell you. Even your grandfather was trying to persuade me not to do this. All of them were against my actions of taking revenge on the White Deer Paradise. Even with their help, I would only be able to use one strike when I go over. With the Multi World Anchoring Flag in hand, I would be able to unleash two more!” 

Shang Xia chuckled in amusement suddenly. “The White Deer Paradise is a piece of shit! Those ravenous wolves won’t stop until we’re dead. They won’t stop plotting against us anyway, and three moves won’t be enough! As a member of the You Continent and a disciple of the institution, I can’t take this lying down. Today, I’ll give you a great present for you to truly mess them up!” 

The Hidden Frost Sword buzzed in the air and it shook violently for a moment. “Damn brat, what are you up to now?” 

Shang Xia didn’t hesitate to bring out his Spirit Extermination Gourd. He sent it into the air before the Hidden Frost Sword with a trace of his Origin True Qi.

“This…” 

Even with Kou Chongxue’s composure, he nearly yelled in fright after examining the contents of the gourd. His tone became a lot more serious. “Kid, do you know what the contents of your gourd represent?!” 

“If we use it properly, the contents can produce one Martial Extermination Realm expert and one Martial Dipper Realm expert.” Shang Xia replied casually.

The Water Origin Fate Dipper belongs to the Yun Lu and due to my limited strength earlier, I failed to retain it back at the Tongyou Mysterious World. I thought that it managed to return to the Ji Continent. Who would have thought that you managed to capture it.” 

Shang Xia laughed, “Yeah, I lucked out. I was in the right place at the right time! If Patriarch Kou didn’t deal with Ancestor Yun Lu, I wouldn’t have been able to grab the fate dipper. Moreover, I won’t be able to use either treasure any time soon. If you use them, you will be able to bring out their full effects!” 

Kou Chongxue’s roaring laughter boomed through the air. “Hahaha, nicely said! I carried out your suggestion and although there were many things that could be improved, I am sure that your idea will allow the issue with my fate dippers to be solved. After he spoke, the tip of the sword pointed to the skies. The massive water droplet that was the Water Origin Fate Dipper flew towards the sword.

The instant the Water Origin Fate Dipper touched the Hidden Frost Sword, it disappeared into the body of the blade.

The sword hummed in excitement, but the sword soon turned into a streak of light that entered one of the wells that remained in the City Lord Manor.

Shang Xia retrieved his Spirit Extermination Gourd, and he discovered a hidden message Kou Chongxue left behind. “This gourd is pretty interesting. There’s a spirit living in it too. The gourd and the spirit seem to have reached a point of equilibrium and it slightly resembles the making of a divine weapon. If an opportunity arrives in the future, you might be pleasantly surprised!” 

Shang Xia wiped the perspiration off his forehead after the sword disappeared. Luckily, he only destroyed a few wells earlier. Otherwise, Kou Chongxue’s Hidden Frost Sword was going to have to double as an excavator.

A loud rumble came from the ground below and the Changfeng City quaked violently. Fortunately, it didn’t last for long as the rumbling sound quickly disappeared. It seemed to move south as several abnormalities happened in the Thousand Leaf Mountain Range soon after.

The disturbance in the City Lord Manor drew the attention of many cultivators once again.

Luckily, the battle earlier between Youshang and Gao Yun served as a huge warning. There was also the descent of the Hidden Frost Sword which significantly reduced the number of people who dared to approach.

Of course, there were some ballsy idiots who decided to try their luck. As they closed in on the City Lord Manor, they ran into Shang Xia’s terrifying divine sense. No one under the Martial Intent Realm could draw near. As for those in the Martial Intent Realm, they would find arrows being shot at them if they dared to venture too near. Eventually, all of them retreated to a safe distance.

As the crowds swarmed around the buildings nearby, a voice eventually tore through the air.

“Is the Sixth Young Master of the Shang Clan present? I am here on Senior You’s orders!”
