CH 318

Name:Splitting the Heave Author:Blip
Shang Xia’s martial extremity intent was called the Seven Laceration Sword, and it was a combination of seven sword intents. However, the power contained behind it far surpassed what the combination of the seven sword intents could produce.

When Shang Xia plunged the Jade River Sword into Li TIanshou earlier, the strand of sword qi that contained all seven sword intents exterminated his life force completely.

Retrieving his sword, Li Tianshou’s sword and his belt came along with it.

Shang Xia poured his inner qi into Li Tianshou’s sword and noticed a tiny crack along the entire surface of the blade. He couldn’t help but sigh in pity about the wasted blade. “What a shame… Another weapon is destroyed…”

Shang Xia kept Li Tianshou while shaking his head. The weapon might look perfect on the surface, but the internal structure had been destroyed by his Origin True Qi earlier. There was no hope of repairing it either. He could only return and melt it down to hopefully recover some material.

At his current level, Shang Xia could say that he had a huge reserve of inner qi. However, it was still as tyrannical as ever. Opponents who were wielding low-grade weapons would probably scrap their weapons after fighting with Shang XIa.

The belt around Li Tianshou’s waist was his spatial artifact. When it fell into Shang Xia’s hands, he noticed tiny cracks forming all over it. It was close to destruction. It seemed as though Li Tianshou had chosen to destroy it right before he was killed.

Opening and retrieving all the items within was clearly impossible. Helpless, Shang Xia could only shatter it with brute force and hope for some precious items to remain intact.

With Li Tianshou’s belongings scattered all over, Shang Xia sighed before picking out some of the more complete ones.

As a direct disciple of the White Deer Paradise, Li Tianshou couldn’t be considered poor. Counting the treasures he had on him, he had the jade carving of the spiritual deer, the scroll he tossed out to create the veil of sword light in the air, and the substitute talisman he used earlier. Those were three extraordinary treasures! It was a pity the substitution talisman was a one-time use item.

The scroll that produced the sword light was torn to shreds by Shang Xia, and the spiritual deer was gravely wounded in the mist by his seventh spear strike, Celestial Disruption.

Walking over to his Scarlet Star Spear that was stuck in the scroll, Shang XIa pulled it out before rolling the scroll up again.

He retrieved a rank two restraining talisman he made and stuck it on the scroll in order to retrain the effects of the scroll for as long as he could. When he was done, he tossed it into his Embroidered Cloud Case.

The scroll Li Tianshou tossed out earlier was called the Myriad Sword Light Diagram and it could be considered a type of talisman.

As a rank two talisman master, it was something Shang Xia wouldn’t be able to produce even if he poured his blood and sweat into the refinement process. According to Shang Xia’s estimations, the person who created the scroll had to be a rank four talisman master!

If he managed to study the scroll and gain some insights, he might be able to hasten his progress to become a rank three talisman master…

Tidying up the area, Shang Xia felt a wave of exhaustion washing over him. He took a break against a huge tree and sucked in several long breaths. Staving off the exhaustion for the time being, Shang Xia thought back to what happened. It was true that he obtained a complete victory over those from the White Deer Paradise. However, he basically drained himself of all his inner qi in order to do so.

With no more enemies in his surroundings, Shang Xia felt his inner qi recovering slowly. He trudged into the extermination mist to look for the gourd that flew away earlier.

When he emerged, the yellow Spirit Extermination Gourd was in his hand again.

However, there seemed to be something different with it. There was a small symbol of a white deer on the body of the gourd. With a frown on his face, Shang Xia didn’t understand what happened to the gourd when he was fighting earlier.

Thinking back, he recalled how the spiritual deer rushed towards him as soon as he completed his third divine sense transformation. He unleashed his seventh move, Celestial Disruption, on instinct, heavily injuring the creature. A huge portion of the energy that made up the spiritual deer was scattered, and the spiritual deer shrank in size before disappearing into the extermination mist.

When Shang Xia retrieved the gourd earlier, he discovered the appearance of the tiny deer on the body of the gourd. He noticed the shattered remains of the jade carving on the ground earlier when he killed Junior Brother Lu, and he guessed that the spiritual deer entered the Spirit Extermination Gourd since its original hole was destroyed.

That wasn’t too far off from the truth. When Shang Xia grabbed the gourd earlier, he could feel the presence of the spiritual deer and the fear it was feeling.

A question formed in his mind and he wondered if the deer would be able to emerge now that it had entered the Spirit Extermination Gourd.

Regardless, he couldn’t be bothered with that at the moment. Opening the gourd, he tried to absorb all the extermination mist in the air.

Who would have thought that the moment he opened the gourd, it would suck in the extermination mist at a crazy rate? It absorbed the mist at a speed several times faster than before!

The giant clump of mist that allowed Shang Xia to reverse the situation and kill the members of the White Deer Paradise earlier was sucked into the gourd at a terrifying pace. With Shang Xia’s divine sense, he discovered that the extermination mist that had been sucked into the gourd was being purified at the same time.

The extermination mist in the air contained a lot of impurities. However, those impurities were filtered by the gourd and everything contained within was the essence of the extermination mist.

When the gourd had fully absorbed the extermination mist, the amount of extermination qi contained within had increased by a whole lot. Shang Xia shook it slightly and heard sloshing sounds coming from within.

Shang Xia looked at the symbol of the white deer on the ground and he discovered that its antlers were gone. Two small stubs remained in its place.

Collecting the bodies of those he killed, Shang Xia wouldn’t hide them as he did Lin Yi’s corpse. He learned his lesson and destroyed them completely.

When he was done, he returned to the geyser and plugged it up with more boulders he found in the surrounding area. After all, the opening was too large for him to do what he did previously.

After he was done, he didn’t leave the Spirit Extermination Gourd to collect the extermination mist like he did before. After all, he received enough rewards from the battle earlier.

Since he had taken care of everything, Shang Xia turned to rush back to the Changfeng City.
