Chapter 259 Aurora

Name:Spirit Soul Author:HideousGrain
Nothing held them back after the Sprite was finally bound to Kyle.

The sensation was weird for them, but they would get accustomed to it over time.

"There is nothing for us to do anymore. Let's leave." Kyle said, turning in the direction of the entrance he, Selene and Yasmine had created.

"Isn't it weird that we didn't encounter anyone in the last three weeks? Did nobody else find signs of the Mana Stone deposit?" Selene asked out of nowhere, the thought that nobody found them while they were mining confused her.

Kyle could only nod his head faintly before he voiced his theory,

"Maybe the Sprite's metamorphosis and the fact that the cocoon around her absorbed so much mana from the surrounding is the reason why nobody noticed that the Mana Stone deposit was here.

After all, it would be a little bit odd for a high mana density Mana Stone deposit to be at a position where the slightest bit of mana would be absorbed."

Of course, it was possible for some Cultivators to have found the mana stone deposit's rough location before the Sprite reunited with the remaining Essence.

It was not even unlikely in his opinion, but nobody reached their location, and Kyle hadn't seen many Cultivators on the surface with the use of his Nurture ability's sight.

'I am more surprised that no beast attacked us. They should have been the most affected by the sudden disappearance of mana, and the fact that we mined everything.' Kyle thought, only to be distracted by the Sprite, who pouted her lips in anger.

"You!!! Why are you still calling me Sprite? That name is ugly, and doesn't suit my beauty and behavior, at all!!" the Sprite said while pointing her tiny fingers at Kyle.

"Name? Well, what is your name then?" He asked, without further delay.

"Eh…my name…my name is….I have no what my name is. I don't have one…" Realization struck the Sprite, and only when she understood that she didn't even have a name did her fingers start to wave once again.

"Give me one then, Outlander! We are bound to each other until death, or forever! So you have to live with the guilt if you dare to give me a bad name! Hehehe…" The Sprite felt as if she was doing something great.

But Kyle just frowned, feeling troubled at the thought of giving the tiny Sprite a name.

They were walking back to the surface, and Kyle had no plan what to do now.

'A name? Eh…looks like I messed up big this time. My naming sense might be…too unique for her.'

Kyle struggled quite a bit with naming others. 'Selene' and 'Arashi' worked out somehow, but he felt a little bit complicated.

"I will think of something." He simply said while continuing to walk through the wide tunnel. Yasmine used her phoenix fire affinity to illuminate the tunnels, and it took only a few hours before they reached the surface.

At that moment, Kyle saw something magnificent at in the sky. Beautiful green, azure, blueish and purple dancing waves of light could be seen in the sky.

They danced magnificently and captivated his entire attention.

"Northern lights….aurora borealis…Aurora…" Kyle mumbled. All of a breathed in cold air as he got an idea. He lifted the Sprite from his shoulder and looked deep into her eyes.

"How about Aurora?" He asked almost instantaneously when he got the idea.

The Sprite looked at him, confused for a moment, but it didn't take her long before her expression lit up.

"Aurora?...Aurora. Aurora!! I like it!" Aurora, the Sprite thus gained her new name, a name which she liked a lot.

Selene and Yasmine nodded their head, acknowledging that Aurora was a great name for the little Sprite.

After they had reached the surface, the four planned to return to the Ancestor treasury's city. There were a few treasures, Kyle wanted to get his hand on. These treasures were well hidden, and Kyle didn't think that anyone had gotten their hands on them.

He was not hurried to go back cause the treasures were so well hidden. This gave him the necessary calm to make his way slowly into the air, using the wind platforms.

Meanwhile, Arashi was on Selene's shoulder, helping her to walk through the air as well.

Yasmine spread out her wings, ready to shoot into the air.

But it was just when she flapped her fiery red wings for the first time in a very long time that the sky was filled with bolts of lightning, and a net of water.

Combined, the net of water turned into a field of electricity. It nearly caught Yasmine if it was not for her fast reaction.

She twisted her body and flapped her wing once her body was twisted in the correct direction.

By using force in the opposite direction, Yasmine slowed down, barely avoiding getting burned by the field of electricity.

Afterward, she blasted back to the ground, where she landed with a loud sound.

Yasmine was just about to say something, but no words were needed.

Kyle had already turned in the direction of the small group that had emerged out of nowhere.

'I didn't expect someone to attack us all of a sudden. I detected them before but they should have been several kilometers away a minute or so ago…'

He squinted his eye and clearly detected that there were a total of five Lohars.

Three of them had blue fur, one of them had purple fur and another one was extremely bulky and had brown fur.

The brown-furred Lohar's Pryr cultivation path was extremely thick, and clearly well developed.

Meanwhile, the other four Lohars were nobles.

"The purple-furred Lohar is one of the Duke's sons…he inherited his Lightning affinity…" Selene mumbled, feeling disgusted at the sight of the Lohar. She didn't even want to say his name. That was how disgusted she felt.

Kyle was slightly astonished at Selene's reaction but it also showed that she didn't have good memories of him.

"Why did you attack one of my partners?" Kyle asked, his loud and demanding voice reaching the Lohars.

"You little peasant, how dare you demand to know our reasoning for this little show. We never attacked anyone, your little birdy friend was just too stupid and didn't see it!" One of the blue-furred Lohars mocked, while the two other blue-furred Lohars began to laugh.

Kyle's eyes narrowed, and Selene was about to do something, barely holding back when she saw that he lifted his hand, indicating that she should hold her horses.

"If it was our case, I guess we should excuse ourselves." He merely said, not adding anything before turning his head to the right.

'Something about them is off. Let's see what you guys will do now.' Just when he finished his thought, another bolt of lightning shot out.

However, this time, it was aimed precisely at Kyle. There was no way that this could be another 'coincidence'.

Kyle used his Soul force to circulate it through his body, and a strong gust of wind engulfed him in an instant as he catapulted his body to the front.

Simultaneously, he fired more than 20 crescent wind blades at the bolt of lightning that shot straight to the location he had been standing a fraction of a second earlier.

"We know that you and your people mined the entire Mana stone deposit. Give us everything and we'll leave you alive!"

This time it was the purple-furred Lohar, who spoke up. Yasmine and Selene were now frowning as well, just to hear Kyle's laugh.

"That's it? You guys intended to kill me just now, just for the sake of the Mana stone deposit? That's cute." He could only say.

Kyle intended to enrage the Lohars, but they looked only at each other with a smile on their face.

"See, I knew that the radar was not broken when we first searched the mountain ring a few weeks ago!!" One of them said proudly.

'So they didn't even know that we found and mined the Mana stone deposit. Well, that was my mistake.' Kyle quickly acknowledged, changing into a combat stance.

"They're bad guys!! Will we beat them into a pulp now?" Aurora asked excitedly.

She never fought someone, and it was finally time for this to change.

Her cheeks were flushed red in excitement and she was ready to beat up someone or to support Kyle in beating them up.

"No, we will kill them," Kyle said, his emerald eyes turning ice cold.

"Wait, what!?" Aurora asked her shock visibly.

However, not only Aurora was shocked, Selene and Yasmine looked at Kyle in doubt as well.

"If you kill them, we will never be able to stay in Lahir. You know that, right?" Selene asked, not sure if Kyle understood what he had just said.

"I know but it's no reason for me to ignore the attempted murder they committed. You know, we don't even need the Lahir kingdom anymore. Let's get our hands on everything we need before we will leave this shithole. It might have been a mistake to believe that the Lahir kingdom is any good." Kyle returned, not even looking at them.

He merely looked at Aurora, before a faint smile appeared on his face.

"Let's kill them!"
