Chapter 19: Upset

For dinner, he ate in the room. He was feeling very annoyed, and on top of that, he didn’t want Xiao Shu to see him in his current state – his mouth had been bitten and the wound was still quite apparent.

He took a sip of the soup which wasn’t too hot, but the wound on his mouth stung slightly as the soup slid over it, making him even more irritated.

He put his food aside and was rubbing his eyes when Nie Fang sent a message. It was about a new program collaboration and some dramas. Nie Fang asked him to take a look and see if there was anything he was interested in. If not, it was okay. Lastly, he mentioned the recording on E Island last week, which was already being broadcasted today.

Having nothing else to do, Bian Yi picked up his tablet and took a glance at the program.

This variety show had already been on air for three seasons and was currently in its fourth. The hype was not as high as in the first two years, but because the show had been running for a long time, it had many fans. Moreover, with Bian Yi joining this episode, the number of views was particularly high.

When he randomly clicked on the hot topics, at least three of the top ten were related to the show, and Bian Yi’s name was inevitably mentioned. After all, Bian Yi’s situation was too bizarre and dramatic.

The later part of the show was done very well, with many funny and interesting parts. In order to create topics and hype, there were many shots of Bian Yi.

As a result, it was not surprising to see shots of Bian Yi ordering Jiang Shi around and not getting along with Xu Rui. Many of the normal and rational viewers understood that Bian Yi was not feeling well and knew about the relationship the fake had with Xu Rui before and that Bian Yi’s actions are very reasonable. However, most fans of celebrities were not normal and rational people.

Soon, negative comments about Bian Yi using his sickly beauty image to boss around Jiang Shi and coldly treating Xu Rui began to appear.

Bian Yi watched this and felt as if he was watching a joke.

He had no intention of responding, but some idiot had to jump out.

This idiot was none other than Bian Yi’s younger brother, Bian Yu.

Bian Yu spoke as usual, with a long and sincere speech, but the summary was just one sentence: Please forgive my brother. He’s injured.

It seemed like he was defending Bian Yi, but he was actually accusing him. “I’ve been kidnapped before, so what if he orders people around? What if he doesn’t want to talk to people? I am an injured person. Why don’t you have any sympathy for me?”

As expected, more people started to curse Bian Yi after hearing this.

Bian Yi now had a target to vent his frustration on. He opened an account that he hadn’t used in a long time, personally @ing Bian Yu, and responding to his sincere defense.

@Bian Yu: “Get lost.”

With just one concise and straightforward word, the entire social media platform exploded.

The heat continued to rise, and soon it ranked in the top ten.

Bian Yu’s fans were angry and came to Bian Yi’s side to start a war. But Bian Yi, the missing protagonist, had just returned and was naturally distressed. Bian Yi’s fans couldn’t let others bully him.

The two sides fought fiercely, and Bian Yu did not show up again. But his silence at this time was like being deeply hurt by a word from Bian Yi, which was pitiful and aggrieved.

Soon, Jiang Shi appeared between the two brothers, responding to fans who said that Bian Yi bullied him. He @ a long list of people, all of whom were the ones who said that Bian Yi bullied him and jumped to criticise Bian Yi.

Jiang Shi was almost going crazy. What would Bian Yi think of him if he saw this? Would he directly oppose him in the future?

These people must be his anti-fans!

True fans know that his good luck does not include the “process.” That means although he is often lucky enough to win, these wins are often due to the decisive outbreaks of luck, such as the signal device in the program. However, in the early and middle stages, he would have been extremely unlucky if he did not have a partner as smart as Bian Yi. Where would he have time to run around?

So Jiang Shi announced on his account: “You are all fake fans! True fans would not let me become an ungrateful person.”

After posting it, Jiang Shi was still not satisfied and chased after those accounts, asking what grudges and grievances they had.

The system had just left Guan Xi’s body and arrived at the new host’s side, and this was the scene it saw.

The new host seemed to have a favorable impression of Bian Yi.

However, the system did not ponder for long. Whether the host wanted to maintain a civil relationship for business purposes or really had a good feeling towards Bian Yi, it didn’t matter.

Humans are a greedy species. For the sake of their interests, they can betray even their biological parents. What can a “little good feeling” be worth?

Although the matter is not significant, Bian Yu wants to cause trouble, and Bian Yi will fulfill his wish and expose him.

Killing is a crime, but reporting is not.

From Guan Xi, Bian Yi knew that Bian Yu caused too many problems.

He carefully recalled the year and began editing the text.

This was also a test for Bian Yi. To test whether the anti-matching self-rescue system showed him a fake video on purpose.

For example, things that don’t affect his mood are true, such as Guan Xi’s interpersonal relationships and his seduction of men. Things that can break his pride and make him emotionally collapse are false, such as Guan Xi’s intimacy with Kou Li and the destruction of Xiao Shu.

In no time, Bian Yi finished editing his text.

“On X year, X month, X day, at three o’clock in the morning, Bian Yu drunk-driving caused an accident and fled, later paying a huge sum of money to take the blame for Wang.”

“Because of dissatisfaction with actor Zeng, he maliciously bribed the crew members, causing Zeng’s face to be damaged.”

“He stole the endorsement deal of brand X, invited Yue to a party, and forced alcohol on her, causing Yue to suffer from alcohol poisoning.”

“…”

Bian Yi to Bian Yu: “I’ve reported you to the police, no need to thank me.”

When Bian Yi sent out this message, all the fans who were still arguing were dumbfounded.

In no time, both Bian Yu and Bian Huai Ting called.

Bian Yi leaned against the bedside and turned off his phone.

Wait and let him see what’s true and what’s false.

If the event is true, he loses two reasons to hate Kou Li. If it’s false, they will continue to argue endlessly.

Just consider it giving him a chance.

He hoped that Xiao Shu was not injured and he wants to continue to hate with justification, but he feels tired.
