Chapter 191: Second World: Reap What You Sow

How Zhao Huangzhi managed to escape in a Nibiru spaceship could only be described as a narrow escape. The prince's armed guards who were mourning the lose of their crown prince didn't even bother oppose her accepting her command. Its not that they recognized her as the crown princess but as a means of revenge. Some of these men guarded Lin Yao ever since he was in diapers. They had to helplessly watch their prince die in such a gruesome way with no opportunity for them to defend him.

In other words, they didn't trust Zhao Huangzhi but needed her to make the Marshal pay. A life for a life was Nibiru's motto. What they didn't know was that they had the same idea but the subject of revenge was different. Zhao Huangzhi wanted to kill Zhao Xieshu and his child so she put up a grieving face like a sorrowful widow mourning the loss of her husband. She wore this exact face all the way to Nibiru's mother planet a splendid capital though incomparable to Valim.

The entire capital gathered around as the body of their crown prince was carried out of the spaceship in a heavily guarded procession. Though the empire was in mourning in all honesty they weren't too upset considering Lin Yao's frivolous behavior and black heart.

Lin Yao had only earned that title because his mother the Empress threw a temper tantrum suppressing the more qualified alpha prince from the emperor's first marriage. Instead of mourning she decided to instigate her husband to take revenge and blamed him for not sending back up but when Emperor Lin recalled the Marshal's words he wasn't willing to sacrifice his empire for a son he had warned dozens of times.

"He knew what he was getting himself into," was Emperor Lin's words and just like that the revenge ploy was squashed. But how could this little thing stop Zhao Huangzhi?

She secretly approached the Empress and managed to manipulate her into defying her husband. "Aren't you one of them? Why would you betray your own people?" was the question the Empress asked her when Zhao Huangzhi put forth her idea.

"His Majesty doesn't want to start a war neither do I but your son wasn't killed for political reasons. Rather he was killed for a vixen. Ask any of his guard if you don't believe me. Zhao Xieshu charmed him with his looks and begged Prince Yao to take him away which is why the Marshal went so far as to kill him. Let me help you exact revenge," said Zhao Huangzhi bowing before the Empress her tone respectful but you could clearly hear the anger in her voice.

"And what do you get in return?" asked the Empress looking at her doubtfully.

"I want to go back home," she replied already imagining herself comforting the grief-stricken Marshal, "Kill the vixen and you will have had your revenge."

Hearing this the Empress couldn't resist. This way she won't be starting a war obeying her husband's wishes but also getting her revenge but what she didn't know was that assassinating Zhao Xieshu was signing a death certificate for her entire empire. "Take my son's guards but if I find out you are lying, I will bury you along with that vixen." Just like that Zhao Huangzhi's plan succeeded and set off for Valim two days later.

Across the galaxy, Valim empire was going through massive transformation. After being terrified with the prospects of war incited by their own emperor they learnt that Emperor Zhao had not only protected the criminal powerful families earning bribes under the table but also planned the late Empress Xiejie's assassination for the Gu family property.

It was also rumored that he used to beat up his omega son and would have killed him but because the Gu property was tied to him he couldn't kill Zhao Xieshu.

Though all this information was mind blowing, it wasn't as shocking as when Prince Xieshu's secret identity was revealed. Numerous footage of Xianxi a badass omega team operating mechas, using firearms and inventing never seen before technology were circulating on Valim Network.

This stirred up the entire empire but the parties involved weren't bothered as they were focused on Emperor Zhao's closed door trial. The punishment for his crimes was inevitably a public execution but Zhao Xieshu decided on a private execution for the sake of his sons.

With the execution date set, there was one question left ringing in the Ambassadors' and public officials' minds which was who would become the next Emperor of Valim. Some assumed Prince Lazhie would step up and take the throne but who knew the yellow belly would directly stamp the title on Marshal Qie without a hitch. Even Prince Tiazhi didn't want to hear the word heir. Maybe it was because they lacked ambition or that they knew something everyone else didn't.

Even if they wanted to replace their father and become the next emperor it was entirely impossible because Zhao Xieshu wouldn't let them. It was a good thing the two brats didn't put up a fight. "Xie-dage is already getting married to the Marshal so why not let the Marshal take over the throne. Their offspring will have half Zhao blood in it so I don't see a problem with it," said Zhao Lazhie standing beside Zhao Xieshu.

Their father and mother had implanted the seed of hate within them at a young age but as they grew older they realised this hate was baseless and that Zhao Xieshu would kick their arses without even lifting a finger. He only wanted one thing that is his mother's protection and one mecha battle with Zhao Xieshu. You could count it as a learning experience. With that in mind the Zhao alpha brothers sat back down itching for this meeting to end so they could meet Meng Huangse, Zhao Xieshu's mecha.

Though the two boys had relinquished their right to inherit the throne there was still a faction that had once supported Emperor Zhao that wasn't easily accepting so Wen Qinxi was left with no choice but to appeal to their greedy nature. If he didn't do it he was most certain that Qie Ranzhe would resort to a bloody method.

His aim was to draw them in and after achieving his goal he planned to throw out the trash and let them follow their leader to hell. "It's fine, you can refuse but it means the Xianore rich planet in my possession won't be handed over to the empire's treasury. It's either the Marshal brings the planet with him when he takes the throne or the entire Valim empire would have no choice but to purchase Xianore from us. Which of these would be more beneficial? I will give you time to think about it," said Wen Qinxi his tone all nonchalant.

Xianore was basically the life blood of the entire empire. Not only Valim but Nibiru as well and right now Wen Qinxi owned the largest deposits in the entire universe so how could they let this opportunity pass by. Trust me, it wasn't for the good of Valim that these men would agree but because they could steal from the empire's treasury.

After ten minutes of pretending to seriously discuss the faction of Ambassadors agreed but what they didn't know is on the day of Marshal Qie's inauguration they would be sitting in jail cells with all their scrupulous business aired out in the open for all to see.
