Chapter 120: Second World: I Will Go To War Fight For You And Win

Wen Qinxi scoffed at the word everything, this naive Marshal actually thought he would comply. He found it so funny that he chortled while looking away. Qie Ranzhe had been gazing at him this entire time thinking all sorts of things but seeing that handsome face quaver as he chuckled with the luminous rays reflecting off Zhao Xieshu's pearl jade skin he suddenly had the urge to touch it and see if it felt as smooth as it looked. Unknowingly, Qie Ranzhe instinctively moved a little closer peering at Zhao Xieshu like he discovered something interesting.

"Come now Marshal, you know l can't do that. How can I possibly lay out all my cards on the table? Wouldn't that be stupid of me?" replied Wen Qinxi courageously holding eye contact with him but his method backfired as his face gradually heated up forcing him to look away once more.

Qie Ranzhe had so many questions he had prepared to ask Zhao Xieshu but at this moment his brain betrayed him instantly going blank. The well thought out orderly questions were thrown out of the window using a haphazard way of interrogating. "What is your purpose?" asked the Marshal leaning back into his chair giving Zhao Xieshu the eye.

"My purpose is actually quite simple. Free omegas from these stupid backward rules. We can't choose our gender when we are born so why should we be subjected to different rules from the rest. Whether l choose to start a family or join the fleet these choices should be in my hands not someone else," he said in a passionate sincere tone that undoubtedly moved the Marshal.

Qie Ranzhe wasn't extremely traditional and seriously gave a thought to Zhao Xieshu's words. "Okay, I understand but how are you planning to achieve this?" It was a great dream but reality was ever so cruel. It might take decades to effect some change especially considering the poor population demographics. If they wished to remain superior to other alien races they needed to improve their population and omegas were the most fertile when compared to betas. This is why plenty of omegas were given compatible partners at sixteen by the Omega Association.

Wen Qinxi leaned closer and slowly announced the word, "Xi-an-ore," placing his thumb on his lower lip which looked sensual no matter how you looked at it. "My mother sent out a pilgrimage spaceship seeking out this mineral but it was met with some misfortune on the way back. She passed away without bringing her dream to reality so it's only my duty to continue where she left off."

Qie Ranzhe felt a prickly pain in his chest while reaching out a hand to comfort him but retracted it when the thought how inappropriate it would be to touch him. He had already done plenty of touching today which Zhao Xieshu might misunderstand. "I am sorry," he said staring into his eyes with a gaze that can only be described as warm sympathizing with the prince.

Wen Qinxi felt his heart melt into a puddle but restrained himself showing a blank expression. "It's fine, no need to sympathize with me," he said peering sightlessly at the grey wall. He didn't plan to repeat the incidents in the first world but couldn't help but be drawn to Qie Ranzhe. Wen Qinxi tried to distance himself by creating a distraction using Nubile Gypsy as a shield but who would have thought the Marshal would screw up his plans just like that. Would he ever succeed in shaking off this guy or they were destined to get entangled with each other once more?

A lingering awkward silence filled the room with Qie Ranzhe trying to find the right words to say but he failed miserably, in the end, choosing another random question "When you find the planet, what are you going to do?"

Wen Qinxi finally glanced over with a black expression that had the Marshal concerned. "Appoint a new emperor. I want to make you king," he said to a flabbergasted Qie Ranzhe, "My father is not worthy of your loyalty. In order to gain full control of the UPSF fleet, he tried to kill you and your parents. Though he failed it doesn't mean he won't try again. That kind of heartless man doesn't deserve the throne so yes, l am going strip down all his power and make him suffer a thousand times more than l did."

Qie Ranzhe's blood ran cold hearing Zhao Xieshu's confession. He had already hit a wall concerning the case of the zergs attacking his parents. The attack was obviously directed at him but he never thought his enemy was a man he had pledged allegiance to. Qie Ranzhe was so angry clenching his fist under the table till his knuckles turned white. He had to make the emperor pay for betraying his trust. Qie Ranzhe could already imagine tearing that vile man's body limb from limb but he was soon drawn out of the dark abyss when Zhao Xieshu placed a warm hand over his instantly pacifying him.

Qie Ranzhe looked down at the perfectly manicured thumb brushing against his clenched fist. This subtle yet intimate touch felt like he had been struck by lightning wishing time could freeze at this moment forever. Caught up in the moment, Wen Qinxi got as close as possible to Qie Ranzhe whispering, "Don't be too rash. This is why I am here. I will go to war, fight for you and win. You just have to be patient, okay?" before drawing back creating appropriate distance between them.

A tongue-tied Qie Ranzhe only uttered a few words expressing his gratitude to Zhao Xieshu for saving his parents but that's not all he wanted to say, his voice just wouldn't cooperate. Just now a volcanic eruption exploded tender sweet feelings that had his mind in turmoil. An inexplicable heat arose from the bottom of his heart that couldn't be placated unless he touched Zhao Xieshu. He couldn't deny it, Zhao Xieshu had affected him in some way. As to what kind of effect it was exactly, he didn't know though he was certain of one thing. He wanted to monopolize this omega and keep him by his side at all times.

The Marshal was lost in thought that Wen Qinxi had to call out to him twice. "Ran-ge! Ran-ge! Can l leave now?" reverting back to his usual self instantly quenching the firey atmosphere blazing with ambivalence. Still, in a trance, Qie Ranzhe nodded prompting Wen Qinxi to stand up. He had a lot of things to do at the base and couldn't afford to tangle with Qie Ranzhe any longer.

But just as he reached the door, Qie Ranzhe suddenly reached out grasping his wrist saying, "l will send you back."

Wen Qinxi found this funny chuckling with a hint of flirtation. He could only guess Qie Ranzhe wanted to find out the secret location of his base. What he didn't know was that this Marshal had fallen so deep and wanted to spend more time with him. Wen Qinxi refused him insisting on calling someone to pick him up which made Qie Ranzhe feel a sense of loss.

Qie Ranzhe didn't let go instead drawing him a few inches closer asking, "Am l still your ideal type of alpha?"
